I believe the Phillies bought out like 1 or 2 years of his arbitration years but gave him a 4-year deal with a club option for the 5th. Depends on who is agent is though. May 14, 20251 yr Again I’d trade Nola and just go with luzardo, Ranger, Sanchez, wheeler and painter/abel/walker as 5th starter. Harder to trade him when his ERA is damn near 6 but I’d try selling a team on he can fix his issues

Even if he hits elsewhere if you can get someone to take that contract it gives you flexibility to use towards extending luzardo and even Ranger. Your rotation of wheeler, painter, luzardo, Sanchez and Ranger is still dominant. Plus you might also have Abel if he continues down this path
