May 27, 20251 yr Mick Abel quietly had a very good start in AAA over the weekend.I'm not saying to put him in the MLB rotation, but I think it would be a mistake to not find a few more starts for him in the majors this year.I think Abel is starting to demonstrate staying power as a starting pitcher after we all were thinking he'd be a perfect bullpen transition. On the other side of that coin, Griff Mcgary is much older, still has great stuff, and has also recaptured some control and effectiveness. He's got closer level stuff and is an absolutely perfect bullpen project. Tightening him up into 1 inning will increase his effectiveness and give him a shorter path to helping out the big league club too.
