Do you think they’ll finally go after a clean up hitter once this season is over? Dave pubically announced they don’t have one so you would think he would make a change for sure considering he still has a job. My guess is Arraez is also gone after this season

First, let’s hope there’s even a season next year. I’m not so sure we get more than 80 games if that. There’s a chance this thing goes all the way until July. They are really far apart. And then the whole Dodgers owner fiasco that’s going on is not gonna help matters.

I would hope he would. However, free agency is not very good this year. The guy that you really need to get any fits what the Phillies need except he’s 32 years old is Randy Arozarena. And he fits perfectly in what you need cause he’s the right handed outfield bat and can hit cleanup. he probably would rake at citizens Bank Park. They have money coming off the books so you would think they would do that. But there’s going to be a big market for him.

As for Arraez I’m not sure. They gave up a pretty good prospect for him. So I have a harder time believing they’re just gonna let him walk. Plus Bohm is off this roster so clear stott to play 3B or SS if you move Turner to the outfield. Really curious what they do at 3B cause miller isn’t going to be remotely ready in 2027. So could leave Turner at SS, Arraez at 2b and Stott at 3b with Harper at 1b.

Worst case 6-3 West Coast trip which is always a success. One last game, then a travel breather, and then the meat starts.

23 games left. With the brutal schedule they have starting this weekend, I think it would be impressive if they can go 13-10 or better. That alone gets them to 92 wins. Who would have thought that a month ago?

If they want a chance to take the division, they need to go 5-2 against the Braves. Anything less doesnt get it done, unless the Braves go through another rough patch. #1 wildcard spot would be ok for me as well.
