November 23, 20241 yr Jody Mac thinks Bregman gets at least 8 years at a $30M AAV. If that’s the case, which I don’t think will be, I am flat out on Bregman.

Have a hard time believing someone is giving Bregman 8 years at 31. I could see 5 with a 6 year mutual option. If someone gives him at years then it’s just stupid. Frankly think boras is going to screw up his FA like he did with Montgomery by asking for that.
November 24, 20241 yr Ideally I would love to see these guys out the door: Bohm .... no emotional intelligence.... we can do better. Schwarber..... I don't care what a good clubhouse influence he is..... I hate wasting a roster spot on a .230 hitter that does not play the field. Rojas..... Let Marsh stay..... yeah I know....hes not as good of CF.... but hes a better bat and who knows... maybe more than 60 AB's and he might actually start hitting LH pitching. Stubbs..... I said before we need to get Realmutos replacement in the door...... he ain't it .... dont think Marchan is either. Walker.... I dont care how.... hes just gotta go. Castellanos..... I like him but if were turning the roster over and moving cash around. One fringe player I would keep is Clemens...... if only to piss off all the teams his Dad played for. So they need corner OFs and 3b for sure ...... a little weaker in CF and strengthen 3 spots ? Do it. Dombrowski knows how to wheel and deal..... he just needs to be creative.
November 24, 20241 yr FanSided's Nick Villano expects the Phillies to find their outfielder in free agency. Villano projects the Phillies to sign Baltimore Orioles star Anthony Santander. Santander is projected to sign a five-year, $88 million contract, per Spotrac. The switch-hitting outfielder slugged 44 home runs in 2024.

November 25, 20241 yr Phillies have been tied to him last two trade deadline. Makes sense as he can play CF and 1b

Idk but i don’t think it’s gonna be some astronomical price either. Apparently everyone knows they wanted too and not pay him. So im guessing value wise it’s not anything like a caba or top prospect. Frankly if you got Bellinger and Bregman, the lineup is better. At that point I’m betting they go all in for crochet
November 26, 20241 yr The one thing I did hear recently — and I think this is pretty good information — is that they are less inclined to move Marsh. Marsh is a guy that’s not as available, I guess I would say, as some of the other guys. Not that they wouldn’t trade him if the right offer came around. That stands for everybody. I think he’s less among that group of guys that they are more active in trying to sell. … I think it’s more about the center field situation than anything. Obviously, there are no free agent center fielders and trading for a center fielder is probably, I don’t want to say impossible, but unwise given the value or the price that may be put on other center fielders. Their inclination to keep Marsh is more about the other center field options than anything. More than likely, barring a massive surprise, you’re probably looking at a Marsh/Rojas combo in center field with an upgrade in left, hypothetically. makes sense especially if Crawford is dealt

I’m guessing most teams like him as he can play cf. obviously he’s young and got a bunch of controllable years. I’d prefer to trade Sterling Caba becayse I just don’t think there’s any room for him to get to the major league level. But I bet the Phillies look at Caba as a better prospect simply because he’s a switch hitter, arguably already good MLB level defender at his age. Also the fact that they might be thinking he could play shortstop, Miller can play third sometime down the road and they move Turner a second. I dislike the platoon of marsh and Rojas in CF. Marsh isn’t a cf and relying on a platoon means asking two guys to carry their own weight and really i feel like Rojas is just not good enough against MLB level pitching and marsh will likely always struggle vs. lhp. I’m guessing Crawford, Bohm and another prospect are going to be dealt if they trade for crochet. I suspect Adames or Bregman is signed. And possibly another deal where they might acquire someone like Bellinger.
