November 13, 20241 yr When you look at bregman’s graph, he makes a lot of sense cause he’s one of the best in the league in chase rate, whiff% and K%. Plus he’s a solid as a fielder. Wish his hard hit rate and bat speed was higher but in CBP he really could rake especially with Harper hitting behind or in front of him

That’s the only way signing Bregman makes a ton of sense.

I think they are going to go use Bohm and someone like Caba in a deal for crochet. Then use Suarez to get a closer or OF, Matt gelb made a great point yesterday that dealing Suarez even with a year left will bring back a good player. I’m guessing that’s where you get your outfielder. I think the reason they are in on crochet is because they don’t want to pay Ranger and don’t believe Ranger can ever pitch the amount of innings they want and likely out of their asking price for what they believe he is frankly i think you could get Kyle Tucker for Bohm, marsh, caba, McGarry and Abel. Been like no contract extension talks with the Astros. His last year and the Astros could use a 3b and marsh is a solid platoon LF for them so they can still compete this year. Caba is a guy i think the Astros would love to eventually replace altuve. Abel is down right now but high upside arm that the Astros like. McGarry is basically just a throw in prospect. Getting two solid MLB players and a top 60 mlb prospect is really good value for a guy in the last year of his contract and likely walks in 2026. I think the only thing is would the Astros rather the last season with Tucker and let him walk or take that type of package
November 13, 20241 yr "Here's the the biggest thing I'll say about Alec Bohm after being around the Phillies for about a week in the playoffs," Pierzynski said. "He needs to improve things [that are] not his performance. Let's just say that. "There's some people around that organization that aren't huge fans of the way he acts sometimes. And I'm just gonna leave it at that, but there are some people that have said he needs to basically grow up a little bit. There are some things that he's done that people ... he got benched in the playoffs basically." "It had to do with both," Pierzynski said. "From people ... and this came from people around the Phillies — I'm not saying Dave Dombrowski, or Sam Fuld or Rob Thomson ... none of those people. But it came from people that are around and have a lot of knowledge about the Phillies that he needs to take the next step as a maturing adult. And I think that people, if you watch the Phillies games all the time, you know what I'm talking about."

It sounds like quite a few teams are interested. I would be looking for an arm now BUT I would really like to find J.T.'s successor. Tait is a few years away and not a guarantee.... Ricketts seems to be more of a backup than a starter.
November 15, 20241 yr I’d totally ask for all that and counter i want a game worn skenes jersey every year he plays with the pirates.

November 15, 20241 yr Seattle sounds like they're the most interested in Bohm I wonder if we could do a 3 way deal with Chicago and get Crochet with Seattle prospects going to Chicago so we don't have to give up Miller or Crawford.

I wouldn’t be shocked if Phillies try to ask for Munoz or Castillo from the mariners. Might be more affordable than what the white Sox ask for crochet. Could see the mariners trading Castillo who has 3 years left at 25 mil per at 32. Also wouldn’t be surprised if it was something like Bohm for arozarena. The more and more I think about the Phillies trading Alec bohm, the more I think Alex Bregman is going to be signing here. Not only that if Bryson Stott doesn’t hit next year, they can move Bregman to second base because he put out there with his agent that he would move there. And then Aiden Miller can play third. I would add I think bohm’s hitting style plays more towards Seattle’s Park then CBP. Whereas Randy arozarena his style would play better to citizens bank park. I actually think both of those guys would do better in the opposite parks.
November 15, 20241 yr Is there any hope for an international draft? If not all the Japanese players are going to sign with West coast teams or NY
November 16, 20241 yr Ya want Harry Ford in a deal and anybody in their top 20 that is projected as a starter.
November 18, 20241 yr I'm surprised Cotham hasn't gotten an interview for a manager's spot yet. Glad he's staying though.
