To be honest, klentak had some nice moves that really helped the Phillies now. That Zach Wheeler signing was terrific by him. Without him we being a ton of trouble. Technically, John Middleton got Bryce Harper, but he was the GM at that time. He also got Christopher Sanchez. The JT realmuto trade. Segura is no longer here but he contributed to that ws run. Kind of reminds me of Ed Wade. where the team just never played well under him or couldn’t get the playoffs but once he left, there was guys there that helped them be a playoff team for 5 years.

Yeah, I agree mostly. I still give credit for Harper to Middleton. He was in on him when Mcphail and Klentak wanted Machado. Wheeler was a great signing. The huge difference between Klentak and Ed Wade was the homegrown players. Under Wade, they drafted and developed Hamels, Rollins, Utley, Burrell, and Howard. All of them having outstanding careers contributing to a world championship. Who did Klentak draft that you could say that would be in that same mold? Bohm? Meh, maybe. Stott? If he can get back to being a contact hitter, maybe. He's already a gold glove candidate. Haseley was a bust. Moniak was a bust.

But his free agent signing/trades were actually solid when you look at it from a far. The issue with him was always their drafting was bad considering the fact for how bad they were. Missing with Haseley and moniak are just brutal. His three best picks were Stott, Bohm and O’hoppe.
November 6, 20241 yr He wasn’t good after that but credit to him for trying to hit through it. Makes sense why he wasn’t good
November 6, 20241 yr I’d be irritated if they moved Harper back to OF for Alonso. At that point say F it and go all in and try to get vlad. Frankly should’ve done that last year with hoskins instead of what they did. So it makes no sense to do it now cause it contradicts what they said last offseason.

I traded ranger, marsh and abel to the jays for Vlad in mlb the show. He hasn't played well for me so far. So no to that! Sheet is like real life i strike out like 12 times a game, cant win unless i hit homeruns and cant score with RISP lmao! Killing it with turner at lead off and schwarber in the 4 spot and casty in the 8th where the fing belong! Still a .500 ball club lmao.

But they have to have a plan over at third. Miller might not be ready until 2027. And he might get moved over to shortstop with how things are going with Stott and Turner. The market this off-season at third base is not great so you’re probably gonna look to the trade market to acquire a third baseman until Miller is ready. You can trade him but you better have some sort of good plan then miller is eventually coming up

Sure he said it was emotions... but his emotions are who he is. Move the kid while you can get a decent return because I am sure he will run away in free agency. Even if Miller is not the answer I feel this would be addition by subtraction.
November 13, 20241 yr I said a couple weeks ago I would sign Alex Bregman, then move Alec bohm in a deal with Houston. Who’s going to need a third baseman. I’d package Bohm, marsh, Caba and another prospect for Tucker. Astros were considering trading him last year before he got hurt. Add on he’s a FA at the end of the year so chance they take a package where they get two major league ready players. A high high upside prospect in Caba and another prospect. Bregman and Tucker massively help this lineup
