March 10, 20251 yr You also mentioned we won't resign our own guys because it would cost us a comp pick. I'm pointing out that it isn't necessarily the case. Sweat ...I think is the least likely... but Williams fits the age profile we like... Becton solidifies the whole OL returning and might be cheaper. I could still see one of them coming back...Becton would be the guy I think has the biggest chance. Get comp picks for Sweat, Williams, Fred Johnson and Rodgers... Gainwell will offset with a free agent we sign. Still get 4 comp picks ...resign Becton and sign a free agent during the early stages. All very possible...still get your max comp pick level for Sweat an Williams if you think any of them are 3rd round. All still on the table.

That’s my understanding of how the comp pick formula works.

I doubt we sign anyone higher than a 6th round level. So Sweat,Williams and Becton comp pick levels should be safe. I would assume Fred Johnson and Rodgers should each get that level. One of them could cancel out

Getting four comp picks max..like you even stated…if we sign any quality outside guy…by canceling out the equal or higher valued comparable…we have four main comp pick guys…I’ll let you work out the rest of where this is leading

Go to overthecap.com.... they have a page dedicated to comp picks ... the chart as the free agents get signed...plus another page with very detailed descriptions of each level. I'm looking at our cap...I can't see us signing anyone 3rd or 4th round comp level... we would just resign our guys. But I could see a couple at 6th round levels...which is pretty decent $$$.

Just stated that not every team is ...stupid, dumb, idiotic ...enough to talk directly to players before Wednesday... because that is tampering. No idea what you are saying..or trying to argue..over and over and over…I said teams talk to agents all the time illegally negotiating before the Legal Tampering period ..all 32…not just Rosie…ever since FA had been around pretty much. Argue against the league…they’re the ones who started an investigation…I just reported it. Your beer isn’t with me on any of this…OR…it shouldn’t be at least.

You like theories and the term " quality free agent" I just like to look at what the numbers say... " quality " is a vague description. Is that a solid NFL starter? A solid NFL starter shouldn't cost you a high comp pick...those are for elite players.

Quality…like not a third string RB you wanted to start for us instead of signing the best RB we could get and paying for.

They investigated if there was direct contact with Barkley... It had zero to do with if the Eagles contacted his agent prior to that Monday.

March 10, 20251 yr But somewhere in there is a good point you’re bringing up No Mas. We can sign a low level guy and it be offset by a loss not of our big four..if we do chose to not retain our top four FAs. Like a ST FA from another team…could be offset by Gainwell leaving.

Quality... say $ 6 million for Miles Sanders... I assume that 2 years ago you thought that was Quality $ for a RB right...in that market? What comp pick level was that? 6th round correct?

If you would for some reason take the stick out of your ass when it comes to discussing... you would find that I wouldn't make a point without knowing anything... it's why I don't participate in your discussion of college players. Not because "I'm afraid to make a prediction on a player " but because I don't follow college...I don't have an opinion. What I talk about is stuff I follow and research. Or just pay attention to what is said...that's why I knew no shot of " tampering " last year because I knew Howie wasn't dumb enough to talk directly to Barkley...which was what was reported as being investigated...not anything about prior to the Monday.

Don’t shoot the messenger because you got so butt hurt about Rosie being investigated. My stance was: I don’t find tampering as any big thing…it’s something every team does all the time. Just part of how things work has been my stance. You’re arguing with yourself on this one.

You still think that it's about any conversation before Monday at 12noon. LOL It was ONLY about direct contact with Barkley.

Dillard was signed...3 years $29 mil Seamulo $8 mil per year. Both 5th round comp picks That was the value 2 years ago... do you expect the Eagles to sign anyone for way more than that? Those are " quality" free agents at those #s. I would assume that you would be ok if the Eagles signed one of those to cancel out another 5th round comp pick?

Let’s start with…does the entire FA class matter when determining? Which would mean this universally labeled ‘weak FA class’ would tell you what?
