Again... forget the term " tampering "

What " specific action" were the Eagles and Falcons investigated for?

Do all 32 teams do that " specific action" ?

Do you answer a single question? Ever?

You don’t…but then try to reverse it and say I’m the one that doesn’t after I endlessly answer all these questions from you

The comp formula being equal or greater canceling out…would you expect losing Gainwell as whom gets cancelled out by signing either of these guys?

If we don't resign ...

Sweat

Williams

Becton

Fred Johnson

Isaiah Rodgers

Gainwell

I would expect to get comp picks for the top 2... plus 2 others at minimum.

I don't think we would sign  FA equal to Becton level...so outside chance he gets canceled out.   More than likely we sign 2 free agents to cancel out Gainwell and either Johnson or Rodgers... or possibly Johnson and Rodgers.

Becton could possibly be as high as a 4th rounder... probably a 5th.  The other 3 probably 7th rounders with possibility of being 6ths.

Oren Burks too

ALL teams talk to agents prior to the Monday 12noon opening of " legal tampering period"

However... the " tampering " that was investigated was about Atlanta and Philly talking directly to Cousins and Barkley...

Had zero to do with them or the other 30 teams talking to agents prior to " legal tampering period '

So while I agreed from the start...that all 32 teams talk to agents prior to " legal tampering period " I made a point that still doesn't seem to sink in ...that not all 32 teams tamper by directly talking to the player. Which was the reason for the investigation.

So you have an issue that Goodell investigated Rosie…take it up with him.

My opinion being all 32 teams tamper all the time.. I see it as normal operating procedure..would mean what?

You still believing Becton signs for more than Baun? Obviously Baun didn’t grab his highest potential payday after reaching the market…but still…

It means and what I've been trying to explain....there is more than one type of tampering.

The one you are focused on is the teams talking contract negotiations with agents prior to the Monday opening. The NFL looks the other way on that, has there ever been a case when there was a penalty for jumping the gun?  Idk.  BUT I AGREE ALL 32 TEAMS DO THIS

Another type of tampering was what Arizona did by having their first contact with Gannon during a forbidden period.  They were penalized  ( NOT ALL 32 TEAMS DO THIS)

The specific type of tampering that the Eagles were investigated for was talking directly to a player.... NOT ALL 32 TEAMS DO THIS TYPE OF TAMPERING!

So only way to lose a pick is if Howie was dumb, stupid, idiotic enough to be an outlier and talk directly to Barkley.

My issue is that you still don't seem to get what the investigation was for.

Idk what the real numbers will be...but  I assume more than likely Becton will get more money in his pocket by the end of the contract.

Only way to be penalized is if the league deems it so. Does it matter if Worthy is guilty of any wrong doing or not? Will the league still most likely punish him even if this girl is completely making it up?

How many players have been found not guilty..or the charges were even dropped..yet the league still punished them?

Me : is tomorrow Monday

Ham : March has more days than February.

That's the conversations pretty much in a nutshell

The league could not " deem" thar the Eagles spoke directly to Barkley without 100% concrete proof.

The league had that proof of Cousins speaking directly to the Falcons trainer.

Not even close to the discussion of Howie speaking directly to Barkley.

It’s a factor. If you do chose to sign a guy like Allen then you realize you aren’t just deciding to pay him…it’s costing you that whatever Comp pick also(4th rounder?)

If Allen gets released prior to his contract finishing ...then he does not count against the comp picks.

The Rams signing Adams...would not count against the comp picks.

If we signed Bosa...it would not count vs the comp picks.

Anyone who gets released early ...would not count against comp picks.

If a team signs Slay.. it does not count for the Eagles or against the other team ...in regards to comp picks.

Maddox from Week 5 on, he played 145 snaps and had a 77.4 defensive passer rating, which believe it or not was the best among all Eagles corners – all Eagles corners – the last 13 weeks of the regular season.

The conversation in a nutshell:

me…don’t care everybody does it.

you: on and on and on for over a year arguing with yourself

Comp picks are for teams that lose free agents....not for rewarding them if they release a player.

But the legal tampering period does begin on Monday

No... he played less snaps,  no surprise he was more effective playing less snaps
