April 17, 20251 yr FL I realize you have clearly stated you are a if it’s not broken…nothing to try and fix/adapt or evolve. I feel like anybody that stays stagnant in the NFL? Is actually going backwards. I believe our team moving beyond the blocking TE in Stoll along with a third WR that’s main contribution revolves around his blocking….I describe as progress. So spreading D opponents out more will be our much more routinely utilized rushing attack approach.
April 17, 20251 yr Think on how No Mas’s boy Chipper loved to run out of three WR sets. Worked fantastic!
April 17, 20251 yr Author I DO like the "maybe" double dip of Elijah Roberts(SMU) as one of the 5 picks. He is nowhere near starting, but he has tools to play DT or DE

Nolen or Pearce could fall in our laps. That decision would be a difficult one. I can't fit Amos(CB) into my mock LOL Maybe Howie canIt’s been fairly widely knowledge of teams wishing to trade back this draft more than trade up. Not really stacked with blue chip talents. Should be cheap to trade up…comparatively to other previous drafts.

But feels like he’s a slider. I have my doubts about him. He could be a bust. Not labeling him that. Do believe he’s been falling. That’s for a reason. Some have mentioned they felt similarly about Ezereiku….whom I’m high on. Not taking a CB first. Thankful Fangio had control of the draft for us instead of Rosie. Can’t see us taking a TE first round either. Penn State kid Warren we would. The draft plan almost has to be later than that to pickup a TE.

It's a great TE draft if you want a big WR to play that spot, but as run blockers they are all TERRIBLE. I'm not saying we don't take one, but you take one with the knowledge they are not going to even TRY for the TE1 for a year or more. If this is the TE's they are now churning out of college, our staff needs to be ready to hammer them with blocking drills until they are sick of it. IDK if it's just this class or if this a trend in college football. If it's the latter and that's how it will be then we'll take one, but unlike WR's who are coming out NFL ready, TE's have a long way to goWe so very likely will adapt the O. I even pointed towards drafting a WR….as benefiting the rushing attack.

The best in the business will really target studying us. Chiefs stopped Barkley. I am in the other side of the fence about this from you. Adapt develop and grow….or you are dying in the NFL over time.

Arroyo is the best TE fit, but not sure he has the skills needed going forward. We are a running team, so the lines are the priority. I just hope we don't waste a pick on a TE high. We already have a ton to sort throughFannin in the second feels like a very very strong possibility of how we address things.

April 17, 20251 yr Trading up should be cheaper with more opportunities of finding a trade partner that wishes to trade back.

Not saying just erase any elements that were successful. But really do believe us adding the element of spreading things out…will provide headaches that teams will have nightmares about, plus all that work studying us will be negated some adding this quality wrinkle totally opposite package.
April 17, 20251 yr We are going to need to pass more this season. Feels inevitable. Any plan relying on Saquan to duplicate or improve on his all time season isn’t a good plan. Draft a quality WR. TE we know is being drafted also.

I never said I wanted to stagnate, but why change the formula that gets us into SB's?You don’t have to bring replacements. Could adapt and go in different directions. Our O pretending Goedert or any player is still here when he isn’t is a bad plan. So we aren’t replacing Goedert. We are going to add a different TE that provides some differing skillset. Fannin is ready to accel on those YAC Creation plays Goedert thrived with. Easy transition to him.
April 17, 20251 yr By technically taking over Goedert’s TE1 role …I understand why you state replacement. But our new guy just isn’t going to be another Goedert to replace all he has provided. Must design things around the skill sets we actually possess specifically.

Our offense demands that they can block and none of these fit that profile. I already posted a nice TE(or one to watch) for the '26 draft, he has the opposite problem great blocker but no downfield opportunities, so I want to see that blossom for him first. he already has the blocking skills others lackI do think these TEs are very talented. Just not as all around versatile. Very crafty running routes and quality hands…applies to most all of these top 8 or so.
April 17, 20251 yr All this is why I was turning to bringing in a WR. Go three or four WR packages would be a great way to hit our opponents in a new fresh way.
