Nolen or Pearce could fall in our laps. That decision would be a difficult one. I can't fit Amos(CB) into my mock LOL Maybe Howie canPearce I’m predicting has been falling hard. I see reasons to question his translation to the pros.
April 17, 20251 yr Think we’ve been not mentioning all the DT that are very possible to take in the first. Just really thinking that’s the position that will be targeted.

I'm sure we take a CB at some point, but Howie will never let the lines to go hell. Every young guy has to make his move and Ringo needs to make his. The round 4 CB from Cal is being under rated. He has skills. I saw a mock where we got Hairston(KY). Great fit for us,but Howie won't let the lines go to ishSo let's say Dejean could argue he is the best slot CB in the league... he excels there. What would he get paid?On the other hand he moves outside and turns out to be average there. What could he get paid?I don't agree with Ham's logic. It's like saying Dickerson would want to move from Guard to Tackle because he could make more if he was the top tackle. Moving to a more expensive position doesn't necessarily translate to more pay. If you excel at one spot that is your value. Unless one thinks Dejean would be as good on the outside, then he won't make more money moving outside.I do think you need multiple slot CBs,so not surprising that we could draft one.

Chiefs stopped Barkley. I am in the other side of the fence about this from you. Adapt develop and grow….or you are dying in the NFL over time.Once again you state theoretical words that have no substance. What is your plan to "adapt and grow" when you don't know what the teams/opponents even look like yet? Developing players is an annual event for every team. That is your consistent fact. LOL, YES we ADAPTED to their plan to stack the box on Barkley. We adapted and developed well after last years bye. That is the goal every year. You can state this every year like the "we need to do better loop". But really Siri needs fired, he sucks and should be replaced 🤣
April 17, 20251 yr Author 6 hours ago, cunninghamtheman said:Fannin in the second feels like a very very strong possibility of how we address things.I hope Howie doesn't do this, it's a loser when we need to replace the line depth. We don't need yet another TE to sort through, especially when they are all mediocre. Even the top TE from PSU is not what we need. None of these TE's were taught how to block. Could be if other teams make TE picks we can find one turned loose, but he would have to be a proven. I don't see the "strong possibility." It's as possible as anything else, but Goedert is still here and until that changes (maybe DURING the draft) then I can't see making this investment. Round 1 or 2 you need to justify, so Goedert would need to go for this to be viable, which I admit they didn't argue against. Everything is for sale if the price is right. But just as a flat out high pick choice, when we have other needs, doesn't make much sense A CB here would make MUCH more sense, or an edge or DT if edge is the 1 pick. IMO TE is a back burner for now. Even a WR would be a better choice in my view(but think that's back burner also)

We saw that through his entire draft process. The kid just wants to play. You could put him at RG and he will give you all he has. During his injury he studied HUGE amounts of hours. I mean excessive amounts because he wants to be on this team(or any team that drafted him). I hope he won't become a ruined prima donna. Right now he is glad to play.. ANYWHERE. He is on his rook contract as is Q, so in a way is was not too good to draft them 1/2,yet we have the 5th year option on Q so Howie can work his deals. I see no reason we can't keep them happy monetarily for at least another contract. I was thrilled with his SB performance(still replay his pick 6). Couldn't happen to a nicer guy. We know Howie will pay those that perform at a high level no matter where(see Baun) and they should be paid. Of course this time Howie/Lurie had to pick and choose who to retain. Very tough call. But guys like Reddick Howie knew were not good for this team. I think after the SB, DeJean found his niche. he could play out if the need arose, but he seems settled in where he is and I see no reason to change what works. I don't think Fangio will either
April 17, 20251 yr I'll admit it right now, I have NEVER watched an NFL draft before. This year that changes! Been listening to so many Eagle podcasts the last year or so, I feel like it's my duty to watch this time. Can't wait for the inevitable Howie trade out of the first round move! LOL. I've been way more invested with the Eagles these past 10 years than any other time in my life. I finally realized that the Eagles are the only professional sports team I watch where I actually believe they have a shot at a championship. Yes, I know Eagles fans always have an angst and feel like we're never gonna win, but try being a fan of the Leafs in hockey or the Jays in baseball - that is true hopelessness. Anyway, should be a fun time, just a week away! Happy Easter weekend everyone!

I would love to be on the scout team(I'd do this for nothing except expenses). I know the buzz is around RB Blue, but you and I both want Mullings in here. Could be a nice RB 4 for now who could work into he 3 spot(not to be confused with the G spot HAHA)All my guys are moving up i have 5 possible 1st that weren't thought of as 1st before. As for RB I like Martinez out of Miami

Harold Fannin I could point out so much that he isn’t. He isn’t some fantastic blocking all around TE. He doesn’t look to have developed a lengthy route tree. He played at a small college. BUT….this kid is a heck of an athlete. Fantastic at catching the ball. High points the ball showcasing how he’s a hands catcher. Several plays from this last season where he shows elite ability adjusting to make tough catches. His QB made him earn his production….which worked out great providing spectacular catch footage. He has that elite first step ability. Now follow me here….that first step ability doesn’t just apply to coming off the snap(though it does apply there also). Usually that skill coincides with B-Ball. That first step quickness can be used all over the place. Example you see from him plenty is how he hesitates or fakes when running his route or after making the catch earning YAC. Calling it "first step” can be misleading if you don’t realize how that can be used in all its forms that aren’t just referring to getting off the line of scrimmage. He crushes defenders making them look foolish utilizing that elite first step blow by(to get open and once he has the ball).

My Edge player I like…is the guy actually believing would be available as a choice at 32. Thinking there are three DT options we are targeting. One player hoping to fall…isn’t much of a plan…it’s a dream. Having three players at the same position you are expecting to still be available at pick 20…means at least one has to fall into our reasonable trade range.
April 17, 20251 yr 18 hours ago, GreenbleedinNC said:LOL they have the trade charts just like we do, they aren't giving ish away.Things aren’t so dead set fixed like that. Trade value charts are simply for guideline purposes. Not like there is even just one trade chart universally accepted which further just proves the fluidity trade guidelines adhere to. QBs and elite players every GM is willing to pay a higher cost to acquire. Every draft is unique. Failing to acknowledge this simple obvious fact will clearly blind anybody to reality. The 2025 draft class is weak on elite prospects. My take on this class is there is an abundance of decent prospects. That’s this draft class overall strength of the field. Just like how you were high on an Edge player. I wasn’t impressed with. I easily could pull up several day three Edge players that were so very comparable.
