This is the challenge. AR has been running his O for years with Mahomes. Still brings in new added plays each season.

That will be our challenge repeating. We lost Moore. He added so much. But he clearly knew how to adapt and adjust to what the D was trying to do against us.

This will be the challenge. Can Siri and Patullo adjust? Can they add anything?

To be expecting Saquan to duplicate that all time season seems fool hearty.

Every week against each different opponent gotta keep adapting. Run it…but then need to pass it was when needed. Keep them off balance.

If Hurts was passing 45 times a game I may see things differently, but the passing game is now the icing and the cake is Barkley and that's not changing for at least 2 more seasons. We got Dillon and Shipley to hopefully keep some tread on his tires so we can resign him again. It won us a SB, yet you want change. IDK why until our running game is defeated.

Spags did defeat Saquan rushing.

Isn’t that the last thing we witnessed?

Also I thought we were building up the O. Felt like we were installing and developing more passing counters towards the end.

Moore was creating a new never before O. Merging his plays on top of what Siri had already. He just was really scratching the surface. We need the guys in charge now to do their jobs.

You have to keep evolving or you are going backwards in the NFL. Heard so many great coaches this phrase.z

Team like the 9ers evolve backwards because they are clueless about players as is Dullaz. The Dodo is extinct because of evolution. It's the ebb and flow of the league. Pats died after brady left,Squeelers just now starting to "get it". Browns always find ways to destroy themselves. Not all evolution is good evolution

Teams are studying us big time with the target on our backs.

As they do with every SB team since time begasn?

Game plans are being developed on how to deal with us. Each team that proves any things that work will be mirrored and copied.

The game plan wasn't centered around Barkley on purpose. Spags was defeated before he began

I'm working on DWD's idea of trading out of round 1 entirely with the Saints(well I worked the trade back already but not that far). I think we can shaft them like we always do by dangling carrots. Moore has boatloads of work to do down there and if Jaxson Dart should fall some we could fall back to pick 40 and fleece them out of more picks like their 3rd. This needs to be considered now with the Carr injury. I'm sure other teams are looking at this trade too.

If we did this, that 3rd (pick 93) could be your TE selection/project

Talk to any agent and try and convince them position has no baring on pay.

Who is the top paid CB at 30 mil?

Who is the top slot CB at 13 mil?

Do you think the pay difference is due to position...or that the 30 mil guy is perceived as being that much better?

I don't see DeJean's value going up if he moves outside. I don't think he would be more valuable to any team proving he is above average on the outside vs totally dominant in the slot.

I don't think his value rises when he blitzes less, stuffs the run less as compared to just covering an outside WR and getting less action.

I don't think Howie promises any rookie anything. I don't think any rookie is going to dictate to Fangio how to use him. I don't think any agent would look to move their client from a position they exceed at and are pretty much guaranteed an elite level pay.

I think you are way overthinking things.

Just an observation. We are having alot of 30 visits late. It appears to me it's almost like they are planning or anticipating a move back to pick 40 with the Saints. 40,64,93,96 picks are what they appear to be looking at. Makes sense to me. I am working on a mock to that affect. I'm going to assume this trade. Saints get the 32 and the 168. We get the 40, 93 and 248 back

One of the better blocking TE's in this group https://youtu.be/LtjHr_Ec5nI

Everybody seems convinced the Steelers are drafting a RB. Go to show everybody but a couple blinded fans believing everything Siri was doing understand Gainwell had a ceiling of third string RB.

So if things have completely flipped to having the target squarely on our backs now…..then just staying the same …is going backwards.

They didn’t evolve backwards. They were a top contending team the NFC went through for so many years. Eventually things catch up with you. Really they aren’t in terrible shape. I believe in what they are up to actually. It was time to reset and clear the cap.

Yet that’s what I have to do around here constitently. Because this basic fundamental knowledge …gets argued against so much. We could have discussions well past all that if we all were far enough along to all accept so much that’s wide spread knowledge about the NFL
