April 19, 20251 yr Since Siri became coach…started off 2-5 then gave up playcalling to Steichen to save his hide….all the way to wining the SB…when hasn’t any defense had to focus on stopping our rushing attack?
April 19, 20251 yr Miles Sanders was gashing people. Swift. We have been a dominant rushing team the whole time with Hurts.

April 19, 20251 yr FL you even labeled our O the KISS O. I mean what happened was Hurts once again completely proved the HurtsHaters completely elevating and full of BS.

I don't think he would be more valuable to any team proving he is above average on the outside vs totally dominant in the slot.I don't think his value rises when he blitzes less, stuffs the run less as compared to just covering an outside WR and getting less action.I don't think Howie promises any rookie anything. I don't think any rookie is going to dictate to Fangio how to use him. I don't think any agent would look to move their client from a position they exceed at and are pretty much guaranteed an elite level pay.I think you are way overthinking things.Yes very clearly Slot hasn’t been valued equally. Where have you been?

I laid out how both the outside CB and the Slot CB for the Texans both just set the market for their positions. Clear as day. Just like a RB versus a WR difference.
April 19, 20251 yr No Mas for you to boldly state players have zero power is just weak argument. I’d go real hard against you being so blind if I believed you actually thought that. But everybody knows better.
April 19, 20251 yr Deebo Samuel for the Niners. They needed him as a RB. He did it. Then realized how much that was killing his value. RBs careers are so much shorter. WR can play for so many more years. WR make the big bucks too. So Deebo refused to do it again. Frankly him doing that for just that part of a season did actually lower his value long term over his career,
April 19, 20251 yr The DeJean situation seems so very clear. Nobody in any career will make the choice of staying in the position that has less than half of the value:
April 19, 20251 yr I’ve been making the case for a receiving weapon over the blocker. Instead of JJaw and Stoll on the field. If you have threats in the passing game that works too. Run sets up the pass. But also works opposite. Having to deal with a weapon that can hurt you receiving has to be respected.
April 19, 20251 yr That’s why I’ve been talking about that third WR for years. Got Dotson now, which was exactly the trade I was looking for at that point. Our Oline and Saquan are going to be a threat. So now load up on the counter. Can’t be defended.
April 19, 20251 yr We’ve had a few seasons where we dominated running the ball out of three WR personnel. Go four WR and run it. There is a whole other way things can be accomplished you aren’t considering. You are stuck in old school football thinking. Spread out and force the D to pick their poison. I believe this makes us even more dangerous.
April 19, 20251 yr Instead of packing things in the box with blocking TE….spread everything out. Then the D has to really just choose. Hurts can shread the D whatever they try.
April 19, 20251 yr Just think about it for a second. A WR that can’t block on the field versus a blocker that isn’t a threat receiving actually would make the rushing attack better.

April 19, 20251 yr Heck so is the draft and every way every NFL team has ever moved. Ceedy Duce was traded to us for exactly this same reason. He wanted out the Slot because the pay sucks. So he demanded a trade to a team that would play him at S.

April 19, 20251 yr Now just because Ceedy wanted out of the Slot going to S didn’t mean he actually accomplished getting that bag he was searching for. Earning the contract is a whole different story. Frankly that part isn’t relevant. That’s a whole other discussion entirely. All that matters is whether a player is confident in himself.

Does the pay seem more related to them as players or the label of " slot" vs " outside"?
