As you said he put the work in and he looks much better. he was never a GOD and he never will be. The fact you were blind has no bearing on how I see thingsSee even me seeing in him all the traits for his success from the beginning…I still can point out his flaws and areas to grow. Just reality. Nothing much just all rainbow and butterflies…or all terrible.

Our HC skipping so much with our best franchise QB ever is what neither of you want to admit has been the issue.

May 6, 20251 yr Siri one step approach. He had Kelce to get by….so he didn’t care to spend much time coaching those things to Hurts.
May 6, 20251 yr Yet you both just lash out at Hurts the entire time. Who wouldn’t expect him to have exactly the shortcomings of being ultimate pro QB he came with?
May 6, 20251 yr 1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said:Are you still that clueless? Hurts could be top ten? He’s best franchise QB ever. On a HOF trackHam, who is the best/ prototypical QB ever? Many people say it is Tom Brady. I am not one of those people. He is clearly the winningest QB ever, but he falls considerably short of the prototypical ideal.

My error. I guess that is "lashing out" LOL

Carried the team to the playoffs every single year:Ham, Hurts is strong but he can not carry over 5,000 pounds (21 times 250).Football is a team sport, and as The Chiefs learned you live and die as a team.Hurts won the SB MVP, and given the NFL’s rules if I had a vote I’d have voted for him. But the rules have a bias that prevented voters from voting for the true MVP of the game … the Defensive Front Four, which functioned brilliantly and effectively as a unit.So I judge Hurts in that context … and bottom-line he is a winner.

The fact Hurts could rely on the 4th and 1 is a luxury most QB's don't get to have. They need to make 10 yards in 3 plays not 4. So IDK what the rules could be, now what justifies a "push". GOing to be a very gray area and the refs are already having issues as it is
May 7, 20251 yr 1 hour ago, GreenbleedinNC said:He finally improved last year after we took the game out of his hands and went to 20-22 passes vs the 40 before the bye. He functions very well as a game manager. He is no Peyton Manning or Joe Young. He also got to play with the best supporting cast in the league. The fact he was not "on the run much" made controlling the game effortless. Keys to any game- impose your will, win your battles especially in the trenches. Ball control and no turnovers. Hurts(and the other 21 guys) did all of those things well last yearJust as Ham swings the pendulum too far in the Hurts can do no wrong direction, I believe you swing it too far in the other direction. "We” (the coaches) didn’t take the game out of his hands. It never was in his hands to start with. What happened over the Bye was a reassessment of the entire risk profile of the Offensive scheme, which up to that point was very close to the historical Kellen Moore style of offense. The O-Line went to Stoutland, and then together they went to Moore and Siri and argued that their strengths were not being utilized effectively AND that was resulting in too many 3rd and long situations that included considerably greater risk than the alternative, which was adopted and executed. The result was a point differential over 13 games of 170. With success like that, why tamper with the winning formula. Hurts was smart enough to go with that flow.Fast forward to the Super Bowl and Spags and Andy decided it was best to dare Hurts to beat them. So he stepped forward and humiliated them. That brings me to ranking the current NFl QBs. Mahomes is ahead of Hurts, but his crown is shaky given the Super Bowl results. Lamar is ahead of Hurts, but not by much. Josh Allen is ahead of Hurts. After that, what current QB is ahead of Hurts? You tell me.
