Just choosing one simple area to make very clear why Saquan is superior unfairly comparing the two: Saquan finds a hole? He takes it all the way for a 70 yard TD. In all of Jim Browns greatness…something he just never was capable of.

I would love to right paragraphs explaining my admiration for Jim Brown. Maybe I will at some point. But I feel the need to stick up for him after what I just said. So easy area Jim Brown was far superior to Saquan: short yardage. Saquan’s weakness. I’d turn to Brown needing to punch in the winning TD every time over Barkley.

Also seems like I’m really the first…only I know…that’s identified Saquan folding under pressure. Sample size being too small to completely finalize a complete conclusion of his whole career. That week two easy catch he dropped with the game on the line? That was bigger issue than even the biggest complainers realized that week. Now…how much of him choking on the SB was just due to his lack of experience being in any of those moments ever? How much of it actually just is defining about him?

Thing is…not many get opportunities at a large sample size of SB performance. Ask Dan Marino.

FL and No Mas never stopped grinding down Hurts over his fumble on his first experience there. At what …24? While so many our team absolutely crumbled. While super talented D top ranked…couldn’t even try to challenge the whole game in pass coverage. Much less just tackle. Top dominating rushing attack…became our biggest weakness on O. Actually chose to take RB off the field so much because it crumbled just that pathetically. Terrible P shanked his kick killing us.

But No MAs repeatedly voiced his opinion all regular season about how our terrible P ,we kept even through injury, hadn’t screwed up to cost us anything so it wasn’t important. Over and over…it was who cares..not important….what damage has he done? All while Fl and I were totally aware of what it could cost us. Just highlighting a very specific logic difference between No MAs and myself. He never concerns about the future. O hadn’t screwed up in a spot to cost us yet first couple of weeks…so what’s the issue?(No Mas way of thinking) While I have the nerve to be complaining while our team is winning about a low consideration P job. It hasn’t cost us….until it cost us.

No Mas loved the pull things back approach from Siri on our O this past season. While from way back in the offseason my thoughts revolved around our whole season ceiling revolves around how far we can get in Moore’s O. Guess it’s just the way my mind works so differently. I just pretty automatically process all these potential scenarios. So yeah…I go down as the guy worrying all season about exactly the scenario that ended up playing out at the end. Just knew how highly unlikely it would be that we could go all the way by only relying on handing off to Barkley.

Do we win Hurts first SB without falling prey to that shanked P gifting the Chiefs a TD? (Millions of other so fixable shortcomings that day…all lesser than the League itself doing everything they could to fix the game against us)

Back to the SB reliance on Hurts for our O(every time making sure to credit fantastic D Fangio supplied for you Fl …even though me doing that still hasn’t stopped you from misrepresenting my statements otherwise). First drive…2nd down Barkley -4 yards. 3rd and 11. Ok…so go ahead and explain why ..if anybody has a legit reason how this wasn’t perfectly an example of how Barkley was hurting the situation instead of helping the situations Hurts faced that day. So …Hurts uses his legs to make a big play. Not quite enough to convert though. But he overcame such a terrible situational setup from Barkley that we go for it on fourth down. Great pass from Hurts to AJ. BUT …OPI flagged. Couldn’t ask for a better ball from Hurts regardless…he delivered.

Second series:

2nd and 8…obviously a running down…NOT!

20 yard pass to Goedert. And no I don’t believe Spags wasn’t double teaming Goedert for a second because he was overplaying defending expected run.

Barkley first down run for -1. 2nd and 11. Hurts TD pass to Dotson.

I just feel no need to continue on repeating what I’ve already thoroughly done for the whole game. Just doing this much for you MattyWill since you missed it.

Any person free of bias just couldn’t formulate any conclusion towards Saquan made Hurts situations and job easier there. Just so glaringly bad situations our QB was put in to overcome.

And I totally have always predicted the so obvious spin. So I always keep jumping out ahead of the typical false representation of my comments. Never said Spags wasn’t concerned about stopping Barkley. That’s what he did…but it worked. So AFTER Spags run defended so successfully..we faced unfavorable down and distance situations. Both can be true…Spags focused on stopping Barkley…then had us forced to turn elsewhere.

Ohh…but Cunninghamtheman is wrong. All media and fans…Spags himself point towards his focus of stopping Barkley. Nothing I’ve disagreed with. Thing is…it worked….yet didn’t make us stop trying to do it. Don’t even really need to be a football expert. Just an understanding of first grade math makes all this obvious. Sticking with nonproductive rushing from Saquan could only leave our team in unfavorable situations.

But hey…statement surrounding single coverage isn’t some false made up element either. Dotson was single covered. Goedert faced single coverage. Pure BS spin trying to say anything about that was resulting purely from focusing on Barkley though. Smitty also beat single coverage. If you could do the work to lay out the case extensively detailing a very targeted agenda making stat line trying to prove Barkley focus caused single coverage. Then should he real easy to do the same proving just how much double coverage each receiving option faced the rest of the season being so contradictory. Just pull up the season stat percentages of how so overwhelmingly the majority of plays Dotson and Goedert faced consistent double teams. Should be easy….since that is the exact point you made of being such a difference defining the SB versus Spags. Smitty too.

Going by your statements must have been almost every DC all season was choosing to 80 percent of the time make sure to double Dotson…Goedert. Your case being so based on the huge shift and change occurred just in that SB.

VOk so let’s just pretend to throw out all the other context applies to just going towards your attempts to reason your opinion, along with FL and No Mas, of trying to come up with all these other reasons to point fault at Hurts as the only quality reason to ever have made the decision …on any play…to choose giving the ball to Saquan. Even if we just totally went away from the point and just accepted your small number of deep diving attempts to come up with all time NFL historically…even to attempt to arguably find any better coaching option resulting in better production …conceding all those points(which in no way deserve to be conceded)…you still came up with a possible how many attempted alternate options? In decades of NFL history.

Even in that worst light ignoring what I actually said…just pretending your spin towards countering by changing the question wasn’t even a factor….

Take all that unfairly against me in your favor even…What grounds is it you are stocking to your guns about with there needing to be a single other reason than choosing to hand the ball to Saquan in our O as just clearly the obvious best no brainer option?

Your imagination is running away with you again. Where have I said even one single word "pointing fault at Hurts”? You can’t find one single word because there are none.

Try and stay on the rails. One day you are ****ing and complaining about the inadequacy of Saquon in the Super Bowl and the next day you are arguing that Saquon is the best RB in the history of the NFL. He can’t be both of those of those things at the same time. Which one is real and which one is Memorex?

Ever D always double teams the second and third WR…plus TE that never achieves more than mediocre receiving stats. Just standard football defending. In the SB was the rare football game ever happened those players so uniquely feasted without facing double and triple teaming defenders …due to Saquan putting us in such unfavorable down and distance circumstances.

Without Saquan rushing for that -1…putting us beyond even the given 10 yards to gain at 11 yards away? So clearly the only reason Hurts made a play to Dotson. Chiefs were stacking the box…ALL IN to shut down the expected Saquan handoff. We just caught them. (Sarcasm just to make sure for you FL) (me being purposely a bit of an Ahole towards you admittedly MattyWill…just so you can actually hear how bad your evaluation actually comes across…no intention of mean spirited))

Here too your imagination is running away with you. All of the data I provided to you from the play by play was to counter YOUR argument that Sirianni was a fool and a bad coach and a bad game planner to run Saquon the way he did in the Super Bowl.

The data showed that your argument about the overwhelming number of 3rd and long situations was poppycock.

No…you spinning what I said. My point was about you trying to give other reasoning behind giving the ball to Saquan. Not calling him best ever played..or any of that. Stating…in our O…behind our completely prioritized investment in enormous mauling run blocking Oline….this past season…Saquan was an absolutely no brainer fantastic option. Football 101: decide to give the ball to highest producing play in that moment. As easy a decision as it ever gets….hand off to Saquan last season in our O.

All these coaches would choose to call Dotson number instead of give it to Saquan last season you’re saying..sure…believable…by no one ever

Reading is fundamental Ham. Go back and read what was said. All those coaches would or wouldn’t be saying Saquon was a better RB than Jim Brown … or Barry Sanders.

Don’t need overthinking coming up with a single other reason to do that. Any coach chooses to do what produces to incredibly well. Simple. Easy. Basic football.

You and I never discussed that question. You never asked me that question and I never answered it. The questions asked and answered appear below.

Your recency bias is showing through your panties. If you ask 100 Hall of fame voters over 95 of them will say Jim Brown.

Is that your guy? You are saying you would have benched Saquan last season for Barry?

All time best season ever. Nobody has done what Saquan did. Not just him…but behind our huge Oline.

Yes

Simpson had 2 less yards than Sanders, but played in 2 less games. His yards per carry were 6.0 compared to 5.8 for Saquon.

And your point about our huge OLine is correct. None of the runners I listed had an OLine as good as Saquon had. They accomplished their yards with less help.

Saquon was spectacular, especially in the context of the recent years, but your appreciation of the other great backs who came before him is sorely lacking.

You are correct. Give the ball to Jim Brown rather than Saquon.

Or alternatively give the ball to Barry Sanders rather than Saquon.

Nah…you did a commendable job to spin your agenda…with detailed stats to support. Totally credit you with that. Yet…applauding your efforts to manipulate stats to support your agenda is far from making your opinion actually correct. But hey….just respond to those first drives of the games I laid out for you. Make your case in anyway convincingly otherwise against the overwhelming actual occurrence.

You force me to continue on part even just the beggining of the game…then I’ll engage and put in the effort. Skeptical would be an understatement of my belief on you on that. (Nothing against you personally or being nasty…it’s just an incredibly difficult achievement to fulfill…good luck)

You can add "Give the ball to OJ Sanders rather than Saquon” as well.

"Give the ball to Saquon rather than Emmitt Smith” is a legitimate prop as well.
