Reading is fundamental Ham. Go back and read what was said. All those coaches would or wouldn’t be saying Saquon was a better RB than Jim Brown … or Barry Sanders.

I originally stated what option was better than choosing handing off to Saquan last year in our O? Being prompted by you following suit with No Mas and FL for trying to formulate extra reasoning against our QB forcing us to the decision of giving the ball to Saquan behind our Oline last season.

Nah…you did a commendable job to spin your agenda…with detailed stats to support. Totally credit you with that. Yet…applauding your efforts to manipulate stats to support your agenda is far from making your opinion actually correct. But hey….just respond to those first drives of the games I laid out for you. Make your case in anyway convincingly otherwise against the overwhelming actual occurrence.

You force me to continue on part even just the beggining of the game…then I’ll engage and put in the effort. Skeptical would be an understatement of my belief on you on that. (Nothing against you personally or being nasty…it’s just an incredibly difficult achievement to fulfill…good luck)

This is the first time you have mentioned the first drives. Please explain what you proposition is regarding those drives and I will respond.

No you did not. I’ll go back and grab yours and my original exchange and post it here momentarily.

I’m not going to dig back to pull up your exact quote unless you deny you said it. I have a good memory. Your words were "choosing a risk adverse O” being why we handed off to Saquan.

Your imagination is running away with you again. Where have I said even one single word "pointing fault at Hurts”? You can’t find one single word because there are none.

Try and stay on the rails. One day you are ****ing and complaining about the inadequacy of Saquon in the Super Bowl and the next day you are arguing that Saquon is the best RB in the history of the NFL. He can’t be both of those of those things at the same time. Which one is real and which one is Memorex?

So.. you see the multiple long posts with the spin... it was creative how everyone on here and all the experts mention changing the offense to run more ( the Superbowl replay was on last night and I watched , Brady was mentioning how Moore had to scrap his usual style and run more.

But it gets spun to where you are suggesting Dotson get the ball more than Barkley... lol

Spin it to win it. Lol.

Here too your imagination is running away with you. All of the data I provided to you from the play by play was to counter YOUR argument that Sirianni was a fool and a bad coach and a bad game planner to run Saquon the way he did in the Super Bowl.

The data showed that your argument about the overwhelming number of 3rd and long situations was poppycock.

I do like your attempt though. But that only works against much lesser opponents differing opinion. What you did fantastic was…make points based solely on not what I stated. Did a great job omitting every occurrence countered your agenda. I welcome a worthy challenge. Your opinion I even volunteer is overwhelming take amongst most…who shortcut believing what is so typically what happens. But not good enough here.

Ham, here is the original exchange in black and white. Read it and weep.

All you making more of it than that…name the team in NFL history ever wouldn’t have handed to Saquan last season.

Not just team in NFL history. Name a player EVER was a better option than giving it to Barkley last season.

23 hours ago, mattwill said:

Barkley is only #9 in the top 10 rushers of all time.

Jim Brown

Gale Sayer

OJ Simpson

Eric Dickerson

Barry Sanders

Never said otherwise. Which guy was a better option at any position …EVER…than Barkley last season? All that applies

23 hours ago, mattwill said:

Every one of the five I listed were better options for their teams than Saquon was for the Eagles in 2024.

Ham, who is a better more dominant RB, Saquon or Jim Brown?

Last season not even close Saquan. Brown would hurt you though. Saquan leaps better athletes backwards even.

What? Just by memory I pull out his exact quote not solely relying on digging through pages to try and recall? Let MattyWill attempt to deny it’s a misquote. If I’m wrong? I’ll fully own..admit and apologize for doing so. But really confident this is just another clear moment of your foot squarely in your mouth.

You and I never discussed that question. You never asked me that question and I never answered it. The questions asked and answered appear below.

So do you deny stating "risk adverse O”?That’s exactly the statement that started this whole path.

19 minutes ago, mattwill said:

You are correct. Give the ball to Jim Brown rather than Saquon.

Or alternatively give the ball to Barry Sanders rather than Saquon.

This all is why we were forced into choosing "A risk adverse O” handing off to Barkley?

If I made points about "not what you stated” about the play calling in the Super Bowl , then please tell me what you actually did state about play calling in the Super Bowl.

We answered that question ages ago. Lane Johnson and the O-Line went to Stoutland, and then together they all went to Moore and Sirianni. Made their case and the change was made.

Again that question was put to bed ages ago. Lane Johnson and the O-Line went to Stoutland, and then together they all went to Moore and Sirianni. Made their case and the change was made.

You said we chose to hand off to Barkley to avoid risk. I pointed out football 101 is handing off to Barkley in our O last season was the most obvious easy decision any coaches ever would make. Not forced into by anything else. What better option has there ever been than choosing giving the ball to Saquan in our O last season ? Even your misguided attempts to respond you came up with how many players? Ever? A dozen players…ever in the history of football. That’s all you even tried to even make a case for. Even skipping disputing how correct each attempt actually is….even accepting there has been a dozen players producing more in their O in a season…that actually does nothing but prove my statement and point.

You even so extensively reaching and trying just so hard only made my case for me. Choose giving the ball to Saquan in our O last season. No other reason needed than …he was historically producing fantastic option!!!!

But if you wish I’ll give you the opportunity to make your case explaining why giving the ball to Saquan in our O last season would in any way not be the first option.

How many posts are made I don’t respond to? Good luck making a case against I don’t share my two cents about most everything.

Now reconcile the point you are making in your own words above with your prior excoriation of the Super Bowl game plan giving the ball to Saquon.

You clearly share your two cents, but you rarely answer direct questions.

I stated clearly it shouldn’t even be debatable area of who controlled our scripted game plan each week. Never ever said Siri was dumb or bad choosing to give the ball to Saquan. In fact extensively stated so opposite. Actually my words were every coach ever would choose to give the ball to Saquan in our O last season. Not forced to trying to avoid risk. Not cornered into bad options fearing play resulting from our QB. Saquan freakin’ killed it last season! Offensive Player of the Year….in what planet you guys living on coming up with any additional reasoning to force deciding to give that guy the ball? OPoY should be overwhelming enough to support my case. But that is understating…he produced at all time levels.

You’d think just give the ball to the guy producing the best in the league this year easily would be proof enough. Every year…first choice obviously should be give that guy the ball. Offensive Player of the Year…not forced into deciding to go with fourth best option on your own team. That award actually means EXACTLY….giving the ball to Saquan in our O last season was absolutely the best option….not just for us…anywhere.

Did we actually just stick with handing off to Barkley for 2 yards a carry the whole way? Try and just calculate any math equations where we keep going to Saquan only gaining two yards where we aren’t behind the chains of down and distance. I went through the play logs even awhile ago. Evidence points to the facts were Hurts was forced to throw on obvious passing situations. So I get it…Spags focused on stopping Barkley. This is true…but he was successful…and we stuck with it. It’s actually mathematically impossible for your opinion to actually have happened really. You can’t stick to handing off only gaining two yards the entire time and be in anything but putting more pressure on Hurts in known passing situations.

Ham, above is the point you made criticizing the decision to continue handing the ball off to Saquon. Do you deny you said it?

And yet just the day earlier you were criticizing Moore and Sirianni for handing the ball off to Saquon in the Super Bowl.

Is it clear to you that you were contradicting yourself?

Best first choice option in the NFL last season. Who needs a reason other than that to give that guy the ball? This is softball cupcake easy argument for me to make. I’m actually the only one…by myself …on a football site…having to debate give the ball to the best option so long? Too easy.

I mean how can I not be an Ahole and come across as d1ck in this situation? Speaking to grown men seen football for decades explaining : you see it’s a good idea to run the play that works the best. You see in this game…you actually try and gain yardage and score points. Sometimes coaches make so very difficult decisions…like taking the leap of giving the ball to the player absolutely killing every opponent making them look foolish.
