Sure….deep thoughts…which mean what? No clue. Be at your best ready to face as many varying circumstances at the end is most likely path towards success. Start the season 0-4 but improve better than 4-0 but regress.

Time for my 2:00 pee. Saw this and couldn’t resist.

Start the season 2-5 but improve better than 10-0 but regress.

9 regular season wins but get hot playing your best at the end winning in the postseason

Or

15 wins going into the playoffs like we did in 2023 season?

In the 2023 season the Eagles were 11-6

No Eagles team has won 15 games in the regular season. 14 games twice. However, if you include Playoffs and regular season the 2004 Eagles won 15 (2+13)

Gotta love Lane”s optimism.

I can see being 8-0 at the Bye. The first four games will determine that. Chiefs will be looking for revenge, but I believe the Eagles will pull on their BiG Boy Pants and show the Chiefs and the NFL that SB LIX wasn’t a fluke.

Pulling Hurts from the hero ball ranks made the difference

There is some truth to this. Actually providing a pro football scheme really made the difference.

As I’m still just trying resist most any of this way below us all discusion…point being put as many wins as you wish there from the regular season….cant put enough to feel good about the level of any legitimate contention or threat that team was at the end. couldnt punch through a wet paper bag.

That resolved itself appropriately in the Playoffs. None of the three NFC North teams won a single game. Their record benefited from the unbalanced schedule that the NFL has implemented for years.

This year the NFC West teams have a cupcake schedule. The 49ers will be this year’s Vikings of 2024. The Rams will also benefit from the cupcake schedule, but they should be legitimate.

There is nothing that any team can do about that inequity other than to win the games that are presented to them on their own schedule. Keep your eye on the ball … one game at a time. It is really very simple … Win and you are in.

It has always been true that once you are in the Playoffs anything can happen.

Hurts' performances in his two SBs were strong enough to erase almost all doubts about him as an NFL QB. By leading his team to a victory this time, he proved those that claimed that true, dual threat QBs that like to run will never win a SB to be wrong. He proved the people that claimed you can't build a championship team around a QB like that to be wrong. Where does he rank among his peers at the position? That's subjective ... and who cares? Mahomes is a good player coming off a bad game where his entire team played poorly. Hurts is a good player coming off a great game where his entire team played well.

I agree, wholeheartedly.

It’s an advantage like you just labeled it. To be very specific : sometimes it really becomes very key…where exact specific matchup takes place. But mostly I’m a believer in just needing the key guys healthy as possible for the games that matter.

With Iggles fans it's not a big deal because we "take over stadiums". Every game is home game if you have enough bodies

Getting the ball in the elite players hands. The elite unit is the OL

JMO just conjecture from an aging fan. As you know I bished long and hard about the "RPO"(93 joined me in that) and using PLAY ACTION instead. I don't watch every play or analyze ,but I DO know from an O line perspective it changes how they play. If you go read about how they differ it will make alot of sense for them to go to Siris meeting and express to him that difference. On play action the O line stays put, with the RPO you run the danger of the nasty "illegal linemen downfield" flag. Their play strength was to "hold the line"/open running lanes and not moving downfield, so they requested to play at what they are all best at and that is play action vs RPO. I even recall this in HS when we tried to imitate the RPO(which was a new offense in my day. None of us were good at it either. I know it's popular in college and we use it from time to time, and Hurts ran that O in Okla, but I think that meeting was the best thing for us. If the Oline can't play to their strengths it opens up issues elsewhere. Just my take, could be wrong, just what I see

Yeah…under Siri…it was….hey just everybody go make a play.

I agree with Ham 💯 on the slow starts early in the year...the common theme was a pass happy 1st quarter. That isn't our best style.

Sure I agree with the slow starts, but that is like recon in the military. You make pass plays to see how the defense reacts and the guys upstairs should be very busy eeking out what will give you success in the other 3 1/4's. I admit I was MAD about it for awhile, then it hit me. Q1 is not about scoring(fine if you do), it's finding where exploitations can take place. If that's Siris formula, leave it alone. Being "the worst first 1/4 team in the league" brought home a Lombardi. I'll take that finalty every year. Boxers have "feel out" rounds to find "ins" or how to move or does the jab work? Then as things progress the actual fight begins

Yes we are all quite aware that you "don't get it" it's constantly on display

I love playing the better teams. Iron sharpens iron as they say. We need to keep everyone one the field

No, in Hamityville 1 game at a time is a fallacy as it opposes the "big picture"

When the playoffs start every team is 0-0

So you had the entire clan riding the short bus in your back yard? Interesting

Why is an advanced scheme better?

Lots of people swear by "Less is more”. Warren Buffett, the most successful investor in the World swears by " Less is More”.

Have you ever heard of Occam’s Razor?

But I’ll turn the later statement into applying now. I do have areas of doubt. Sure. But very different from last season.

Last season had doubts. This season has questions rather than doubts. Howie continues to make the Roster both deeper and younger.

Can’t not have doubts about Saquan having a lesser season. Every analytic has pointed towards high probabilities after such a workload the following season…heck career at RB. Can’t ignore how unusual a RB not declining the following season after such a fantastic season would be also.

Of course you can’t.

Given that statistical precedent, how do you propose to address it?

We are planning on relieving him more than last year(opinion), so that is to be expected with less snaps

I really like that use of the parenthetical indicator. I’m going to incorporate it into my posts. It is much more effective than adding JMO at the end. Thanks for the example.

Well....see my breakdown of the games in my earlier post....you can see where Ham has a point being discouraged at the 7th ranking.
