I prefer proactive … dictating to the opponent. You do not need the complexity of "having reasoning and expectations according to every varying situation.” You set the situations and keep them simple so that the execution is simple and powerful. As Lombardi used to say, "Here’s what we are going to do. Try and stop us.”

But a total of 6 in-Division games (2 each for 3 opponents) and 12 out-Division games (1 each for 12 opponents) and zero inter-Conference games (zero each against 16 teams from the other Conference).
May 16, 20251 yr Biggest absolutely organization changing decision the Eagles have been faced with over who know however many numbers of years. Hindsight now can’t be argued or denied of just how clearly differing each QBs career progressed since that fork in the road decision had to be made. Biggest most important all encompassing decision concerning our franchise. My path I so individually was on the side of here has turned our franchise around from 4 win old capped out team that would have completely just crumbled to garbage while nobody involved survived. Instead it began our franchises greatest ever era of success. Admittedly being ahead of my forth coming claim actually being realized….that decision launched our whole organization into elite arguably best. I can’t hold back from my understanding of it began our dynasty. Achievements not yet deserving of such a lofty status just yet. Playoffs every year, impeccable record of winning success, league did everything to cheat us of achieving the first Championship. I mean Goodell went to lengths I can’t even think of being comparable in league history to rob us of that parade. Facing all that? Still came down to just a field goal difference….that even that only held up because of the ending clinching ref interference insuring we’d get no chance to overcome.

I just don't like it unless there are unseen details about itHow is that any different from how it is now? I still don’t understand how eliminating inter Conference play in the regular season would increase head hunting. You would still be playing your Division rivals two times each, and then 12 other games for a total of 18 (it is 11 other games now for a total of 17).

May 16, 20251 yr Author 25 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said:That’s just bigger picture smaller less important win/ loss stat comparison. The actually highly important comparison between the two postseason production and success couldn’t be anymore lopsided. Wentz never won a playoff game in his entire career. Not to get ahead of ourselves with assuming Wentz career is completely finished playing out yet…but as I so uniquely was aware of at that time of needing to make the decision between the two…his career was already effectively over then. Jalen Hurts defying all odds to carry that 4 win team he took over that was old and weighed down by so much baggage capping down such a weak level of roster talent to instantly qualifying as a playoff team. Not just has Hurts actually contributed for our organization in the postseason….his success can only be described as the beggining of the makings of legendary feats. Already establishing himself as the best ever franchise QB at such a young age of 26. Nobody knows just how the future will play out. But can’t be denied Hurts career path is on nothing less than a HOF track.
May 16, 20251 yr Author "The NFL wants to increase late-season competitiveness and excitement and reduce teams resting starters in Weeks 17–18" This is cool they get paid to play 17-18 not 15-16 so that is fair
May 16, 20251 yr 23 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said:The actually highly important comparisonIt is the opposite of highly important. There isn’t any actual comparison to be made. One player Hurts actually has started in the Playoffs. The other Wentz has not. Wentz has a total of 4 garbage time passing attempts in the Playoffs. He has held a clipboard for two other Playoffs games.

I suppose its better logistically, but there would bever be an in season "revenge" game(like week 2). So for me it reduces the "fun" not accentuates it. IDK why they have to keep effing with things. I also don't appreciate the continual expansion of international games. if they want to play football in Europe, Mexico or Brazil let them start their own damn leagues. May 16, 20251 yr Author Kick off returns used to be an exciting part of the game, they took that away. No more tough guys playing with broken noses and bloody lips. Prima Donnas rule. Guys like Butkus would be ejected every game if they played today

May 17, 20251 yr Author If someone was young and smart, put NFL games On Cruise boats. Cruise people are already paying out the ying yang with free buffets all day and night. You gather at the visiting teams dock, then you set sail for the home teams port along with their fans while the game is being played. They can lower food and drink prices since you are in international waters for a time. If there is additional time you have a meet and greet and pick 10 under privileged kids to go free of charge, or 10 kids up for adoption to meet them for potentially later getting it done, or 10 shelter dogs you could adopt and take home with you. Just a thought. Any city on a river, lake or ocean could do this. Why do I have to fix everything myself????🤣

All I’ve ever been saying this whole time. The problem with this "Win the SB is what matters” approach is that it dilutes the team’s focus. It is aspirational, but not very practical. Only one other team shows up every week and it is highly unlikely to be the SB opponent (impossible if it is an NFC team) producing the best Win-Loss record possible and winning the Division means focusing on what is in front of them, not thinking about the week (or weeks) before or the week (or weeks) after the immediately upcoming game. One game at a time.
