Elsewhere we hear talk of how the coach schemes a guy open. Or creates success on the opening drive providing a scripted gameplan after studying the opponent. Fail the rest of the day battling …but benefited from the coaches game plan laid out on a platter to start. Who and when have we schemed any player open? Our coaches evaluation identifying the opponents weakness blueprint provided to our players proven the worst in the NFL. All these O rosters elsewhere held back by just such limiting talent…horrible QBs…Oline…you name it….those much lesser talent rosters produced better than ours. How else can I try to explain the coaching scheme playcalling importance than pointing out that fact?

The local media likes the selection of Patullo. From a standpoint of not reaching just to get someone flashy from the outside. Very well respected within the organization.

The new hires on offense seem to have good reviews as well.

You never know until we see anything... but definitely different vibe than Brian Johnson. The potential comp pick being the motivation on top being the QB's family friend.

At this point now the vibe seems strong within the organization regarding both cosch and QB. Coach being in charge and the QB not needing the babysitter as his coach anymore...so the feeling is they can simply get the best assistants without anything else mastering as far as agenda.

IDK he's been here awhile and passed over, but Ham is judge jury and executioner without a snap being taken so I am curious as to what information he has to make that assumption and asked him to provide the links where the negative comments are, because I haven't seen any

Like a tornado, there is alot of different things flying around in this post. Or the plate at the salad bar. We can discuss them individually if you'd like, but no one can decipher a word salad with 12 different things

Yep, 1 week at a time as we all keep saying

Siri's gametime script ................................ 1)1/4 #1 test the waters to see where the weakness is both on the ground and through the air 2) 1/4's 2 and 3- exploit the weaknesses 3)1/4 #4 drain the clock with the running game and defense keeping the ball inbounds as much as possible 4) Don't turn the ball over at any time. Works great(less filling)

Can turn a blind eye and ignore weakness and shortcomings based mostly on our such quality players. Ranked second best O in 2023 past halfway point. AJ, Smitty, Hurts competitive will power forcing the situation to work. No possible way the second ranked O could have so inadequate O mind. I get it. It is difficult to actually break things down to understand. 2nd ranked O…only lost one game…every power ranking media site puts our 2023 Eagles on top as the clear best NFL team. How could all that be the case if Siri’s O abilities aren’t just stellar? How could Ham possibly be negative about that situation right then? I’m pointing out how the second ranked very talented O at 10-1 is flawed and can’t even try to contend for a championship. Everything surrounding that…makes me look like a worry wart that’s only negative….instead of that team being so unstoppably superior.

So what happened next? Did 2023 Eagles prove to be that best most superior team? Did they contend for the Lombardi? They stood no chance of even contending to win a single playoff game. Beat by Cards only won a few games all season. Battled terrible giants team twice. Made the Bucs look like an all time great team in the postseason. Bucs barely even making the playoffs to begin with. Bucs arguably weakest playoff team that season…stomped us!

He wasn’t teaching his QB to change the play to ‘this’ in case a unfavorable D is being faced.

It's Hurts first year in the league????

This is your response? Really? The 25 year old QB you look to for the football and knowledge before…or over the guy hired to run his O? Main whole takeaway actually being how many years does it take for a player to learn the correct counter and answers under coaching that doesn’t have that to supply?

Shannahan over and over has taken poor QBs to achieve and reach NFC Championship levels consistently. Good lord thank goodness Lynch always failed him so much in so many attempts to provide a QB. Yet ….we should just have no desires that our team even strives towards providing the best O towards our success?

What level have the 49ers reached... better than the Eagles?

How many years are you giving allowance to the O coach until there’s and expectation from you for that guy hired exactly for those qualifications to have those answers?

Think you mixed up things in your misunderstandings. What a coach strives for is to make the most advanced well developed O scheme …easily coachable and understood. Bill Walsh and his West Coast O is first example comes to mind. The brilliance of O minded genius taking so much football wisdoms packaged in a way that could most easily be coached for players to understand and pickup.

It’s more about just how simplistic can the most advanced football wisdoms be transferred from the O genius coach to young players.

All good, and the NFCCG and the SB tell us we have that. I suspect you are having a Chicken Little moment.

Hurts will be 27 soon.

My main purpose of being is to be a good person. Believe it or not. But I also don’t believe in being fake. Not held back fearing shame in being myself.

So with that understanding….do feel to be real(hopefully relationship considered friends even) there are times to be an Ahole or d1ck. Believe we all need people not afraid to calm us out when we step below levels of ourselves. Not be a Ahole behind anybodies back secretly. Not in ways that person layer is questioning and thinking about realizing that guy was kind of being a d1ck. Straight forward very obviously Ahole response making plainly aware the other screwed up and it was below their standard. Not going to baby any situation..no tip toe around pretending. Straight shooter…call it like it is see it. Applies everywhere to everything. Realize it likely comes off harsh at first encounters….but believe over any lengths….its exactly to be appreciated and a desired interaction.

Won’t get left wondering guessing about what I think and feel. No doubting about whether I just was faking going along with things to appease and avoid conflicts or disagreements….while secretly messaging behind your back to others opposite thoughts.

Amid all that word salad was a healthy dose of spin and an even healthier dose of self delusion.

So how many coaches have taken over a 4 win team.... then made the playoffs the next 4 years....Superbowl twice...one Superbowl title.. while having 3 different OCs... 4 different DCs?

But he isn't good?

And you can't say there wasn't roster turnover either.

They haven’t. Rosie made a decision counter to what most would do after signing the franchise QB in Wentz….he drafted Hurts. We enjoyed Qb leader that steps up rising to the big games on and off the field. They fell victim to QB faltering at the worst times. Failure by Lynch as a GM. Just obviously. But still for the Niners to have so consistently done so well with crap QB play can only be proof surrounding fantastic coaching. Most all history of the NFL winning and success tied to having a QB. He’s taken garbage that choked at the worst possible moments…to so much success. Garrapolo widely known as turning the ball over exactly at the worst times. That’s his signature. Nothing ANY coach can do to overcome that. Heck…Garrapolo besides that fatal flaw never was very good anyway. Shannahan made him that. Not just Garrapolo. He’s coached up every QB around him. Schemed players open. Studied opponents identifying a script to successfully work.

Fangio perfectly identified and acquired talent for his D last season. All him. But even just say other DCs were just given the players to work with. Do you really believe every DC has our D playing just as well as Fangio did last season?

Are you so dead set stuck on roster talent is all that matters? Fangio was just along for the ride is your take?

I believe Fangio was absolutely crucial element creating success. He got us the right players and talent in the first place. But …he’s got incredible football wisdoms, knowledge and experience. He knows the answers of how to counter every situation. He knows how to teach players. A high quality coach puts his guys in situations to succeed while making each one very aware of expectations of their role.

Oh yeah…how I have doubts so very specifically surrounding our 2025 Eagles.

Doubt number one: Saquan repeating that performance. Don’t see it happening.

That isn’t a doubt. That is a near certainty, supported by copious data.

1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said:

Doubt number two: Our O has every reasoning to do nothing but dominate being elite…should only improve being better than last season. But….yep you knew it was coming….this is a megaBUT….our O coaching.

The game lasts 60 minutes. You choose to look at only half of that … or should I say obsess on that half. In the history of the NFL arguably the two best players of all time are Lawrence Taylor and Reggie White. Give a little love to the Defense … if you can.

Had what should have been such an enticing OC job luring in absolutely the top available option to replace Moore. Heck even kept Moore instead of him jumping ship away towards the worst promotion possible.

(1) What OC candidates did you have in mind? and (2) did you really expect Moore, who was being paid somewhere in the vicinity of $2 million per year to turn down a job that has been reported to be paying him $18 million per year. The $16 million per year difference is a terrible thing to waste.

SB champs, All time RB, Oline….returning all but one starter. We promote Patullo instead.

Again, who would you have preferred, and why that person?

Doubts doubts even my doubts have doubts about this potentially season wrecking decision.

Step into that small confessional, where a guy who’s got religion will tell you if your doubts original. If it is try playing it safer. Drink the wine and chew the wafer. 2 4 6 8 time to transabstantiate.

Opinion

1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said:

This season we are relying totally on Siri’s O. Not even Steichen to bail him out. Siri’s OC is his yes man …right hand man the entire time here.

Let’s revisit this in January. It will be interesting to assess how good a prognosticator you are. Until then … Go Birds!

Saquan is certainly doubt. Just because I have educated informed reasoning behind my doubt? Percentage towards probability doesn’t affect whether it’s considered doubt or not.

Feel like I have solid reasoning behind all my opinions…surrounding the subject of Eagles that is…

1 hour ago, cunninghamtheman said:

All evidence Siri and Patullo have produced with the Eagles proven unqualified(nicest term applies). Those two have added nothing, shown zero signs can coach improvements into players, terrible film study conclusions, not just each week scripted gameplanning exposed how lacking their understanding has been…it’s the self scouting and applied adjustments….heck just giving a playcall answers to our guys for exactly the situation the whole stadium understands the D is bringing. Of every single coach across our organization…who has earned the big promotion less than the Passing Game Coordinator? His largest asset is just following Siri as biggest lap dog.

Not a constructive word said in all that word salad. If you cared you would be proposing a solution rather than just whining. A constructive contribution would be to list the names of a few available folks who you are confident can achieve a remedy for all the flaws you have described.

"Complaining about a problem without proposing a solution is called whining” – Teddy Roosevelt.

Ok the Moore pay…is purely fan suspicion. Reasoning even behind that completely supports everything I stated. Nobody knows what Moore is being paid. No doubt it’s a raise from OC pay. So hard to base everything over hard financial numbers…when nobody knows those. But I can point to historical precedents when coordinators turned down bad HC jobs. Can’t think of a time any of them had a better situation than Moore had here to stay fit though.

Moore was runner up for our HC job just a few years back. Only missed it because Siri had Gannon coming as DC…along with a couple other coaches. Feel it’s as easy an argument to hair as it gets that Moore was in the position of most likely nonHC that would get his own team. He already was so close before last SB winning season. So financially speaking the money was there. It was coming. Thinking longer term career…tons of money to be made as a HC for a guy his age.
