The above sentiments relate directly to our recent "football discussions” here.

Nick is a CEO … tried and true.

Sirianni's new-fangled deal hasn't yet kicked in. And the value of his deal remains shrouded in mystery. Nevertheless, he should fetch quite a pretty penny in 2025 — one that might even push him closer to the title of league's highest-paid tactician.

I should say Lurie not Howie but it won't let me edit. Poor Ham will go off the deep end. IDK how he will survive this

Pretty consistently credited Moore for teaching these things. Never claimed he only exclusively taught Hurts. See that’s been my point all along…taught the whole O. It always should have been WR and QB reading and adjusting accordingly…these elements running an O I don’t even consider pro O level. Advanced High School football at the school that all the good players somehow end up residing inside that district after 9 grades going to school elsewhere. At my high school wrestling was our thing. State title chasing every year…kids moved in with wrestlers residing in the district from across the state. Recruited and kids seeking the best coach. But the football version high school WR and QB adjusted the route based on the coverage. Big picture playcall…but specific DB outside leverage or inside. Much easier to win if you adjust taking what the D gives you. Get that O humming it brings up that phrase Great O beats great D. AJ not being handcuffed to fixed route really makes him unstoppable. Just no DB can do better than the WR taking what’s given while knowing what he’s going to do instead of reacting. That’s a big strong target guaranteed to gain a yard of separation off his cut(pretty much any version).

Who credited Moore for " teaching " things? I've never heard any of the players or anyone else in the Eagles organization say that?

Everybody power ranking your team number one…but great coaching has that team get blown out by Baker and the Bucs winning the worst division? Best HC ever for the Eagles doing that…what? Really? Worst collapse I think ever seen that wasn’t caused by injuries. But great coaching..made the playoffs you know…got all those wins before everything imploded.

Was the team everyone has #1 in the power ranking...have Johnny Wilson, Dotson and Fred Johnson as the starters? Because that's the team that got beat in Tampa.

But convenient to skip over... when looking at the agenda.

But if the idea Hurts lost the game...then it's brought up. The agenda

IDK, I would hate to see my boy Montrell Johnson on the PS. I think he would get poached. Really a nice DITR RB IMO. I like Shipley too. Tough to decide who you're going to turn loose

Johnson is really going to have to turn heads to supplant either Shipley or Dillon.

Yeah, he's going to be good if you give him some time, but not sure we have the time to give. I suppose we could put him on the PS with one of the designations if he looks good in camp. Alot of those UDFA's are going to be nice BU players somewhere. I see we haven't signed our 2 top draft picks yet. Maybe waiting for the Siriani deal to get done

MJ has the juke moves Barkley has. If you work on this kid he's going to be excellent. I had Mullings as a UDFA, but this kid is much better!! I wasn't looking at RB's much so he got by me, but since they don't pay me I will cut myself some slack HAHA

On the topic of Running Backs, here is what Jimmy Kempski said today in his way too early roster article.

"Running back (4): Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley, Avery Williams, Ben VanSumeren (FB)

If you read our player review of Shipley, you already know that I'm bullish on the possibility of him being an upgrade on Kenny Gainwell at the RB2 spot. He's a lock to make the roster, at a minimum.

Williams received over-the-top praise — almost comically so — from Nick Sirianni at the NFL owners meetings.

Some of you may be asking, "Uh, who the hell is Avery Williams?"

The Eagles signed him in free agency.

He played cornerback as a rookie in 2021, making 22 tackles, with 1 forced fumble, before moving to running back in 2022. In 2024, Williams’ only role was on special teams. He was the Falcons’ primary kick returner and punt returner. He averaged 9.3 yards on 20 punt returns and 27.2 yards on 15 kick returns.

With Britain Covey moving on to play for the Rams, Williams could become the new return specialist.

I suppose we'll put him with the running backs, though I really don't know what role he would play, and what that would look like if he gets to play the regular offense.

Some of you may be wondering why A.J. Dillon didn't make the cut. Well, he missed the entire 2024 season with a stinger and signed a veteran minimum deal, so it's not as if other teams are going to be banging down the door for him.

I believe the Eagles can safely bring Dillon back to the practice squad and make him a Week 1 call-up.

NOTE: I don't have any undrafted rookies on my way-too-early 53, but I'd rank their chances like so:

1) Maxen Hook, S, Toledo: The fourth safety spot is wide open, and Hook was regarded by some draft analysts as a fourth- or fifth-round prospect.

2) Montrell Johnson, RB, Florida: Physical runner with 4.41 speed.

3) Hollin Pierce, OT, Rutgers: He's 6'8, 341, with LT-RT versatility. If he didn't have so much competition for one of the backup spots, I'd have him first.“

MJ is IDK how to put this really, a kid worth keeping. Most RB's are clones. I am no pro, but if you watch his vids he has so many of the attributes you should look for. 1) flat out speed which most RB's have 2) patience- this is a thing that really sets Bark apart and not all RB's have this. Most will just run into a hole and sometimes it takes a second to open, so I see that 3) Side jukes. Like Bark this kid can step/jump sideways to either make a tackler miss or locate the hole when it's not exactly where it should be. 4) Power-he can drive and he's not afraid to hit people 5) Can play in the passing attack 6) A second gear-kind of goes with #1 but he can change speeds up or down not just flat out. Slowing down, then kicking his speed back in can make tacklers miss also. So he has the attributes I look for. IDK why he couldn't do returns in place of Williams. TBH I have not looked at Williams vids, but I will try tomorrow to see what "wows" Siri. All I know is as I watched this kid play I was WOWED!! It takes alot to do that. Anyway, for any team that wants a kid who may take a year, he has all the attributes. I was really impressed and shocked he wasn't drafted. I will look at Williams with an open mind

I like Shipley, I like Dillon, but his neck stinger injury bugs me alot, I suppose the fact MJ wasn't drafted means we could risk him on the PS. I just have no clue why he wasn't drafted, even late. Really a terrific find IMO

OT-My first album (I bought myself with lawn mowing money) was the Rascals Time/Peace. I wore grooves in it(and all my 45's). Lots of old memories for me with guys like Tommy Roe, the Foundations, the Association ,the Lettermen, Kinks, Moody Blues, Paul Revere and the Raiders, Gary Puckett and the Union Gap, Crazy Elephant, Spencer Davis and of course the young Stones, and so many more. The #1 song the day I was born was "Don't be Cruel by Elvis and Eisenhower was the president LOL (Yikes)
