We could also run some version of the Penny D........ 3DL, 3 LBs(when we get one back) 5 DB's or the Dollar D.............3DL,2 LB's, 6 DB's. 2 different looks that could confuse younger QB's. We pretty much will have the personnel to do whatever we want

Some Five man fronts he likes to utilize. Dime is a given. DeJean could really be a key peg inside. He could be Nickle CB, Dime S or LB.

Very specific

How specific do I need to get on which guys we add that were roster cuts from other teams? That’s when it will happen. And that’s what will be the determining factors. Better than specific individuals…gave you the answer most every season it applies.

Do Uche and Ojulari work?

Can Dillon play or not?

Get a look at Trot and Smael see if that is workable if needed to begin the season next to Baun. Possibly a hybrid share the roles situation.

How is Adooree and Ringo battle playing out

You said..." breaking news on the way...not about Huff" basically insinuating that a big move is coming ...so naturally you must have something specific in mind?

I said I think they have their eye on a guy to add now though yes. Plus bigger move at roster cut down.

Kyzir White we could consider bringing back. He’d be a pass coverage off ball LB filling that need. Or really could just fill the Oren Burks vacancy.

White is the quality piece...along with a younger long snapper?

White and the long snapper as a bigger move?

The question about Pitts is how good an inline blocker he is.

Agreed

We have the personnel to run the dollar

Just saying we could put the lineup on the field. A younger QB could be confused which would force the opponent to waste a TO in a key situation, then go back to whatever. if the young QB chose to throw into 6 DB's well go for it LOL

Justin Simmons would like to come here. Of course everyone wants to come to the SB squad

I think the jury is already out. However, I think he could be a valuable asset - if utilized adventagiously (movement/miss-matches, etc.).

Vic should make this decision.

Not the question I asked

See there is a balance to things. I’ve had some complaints under Siri about some of the youth just getting reps and their learning curves ramped up closer to maximum. Really even just applies to most all ways and areas for Siri’s thinking. Not really going to crunch in real harsh on Siri for not getting Shipley more acclimated and utilized rookie season. He’d built up Gainwell for his perhaps crowning peak career season…possibly his final season for us…last of his rookie contract we weren’t jumping on extending him beyond at least. If it was truely believed last valued purpose we’d get from Gainwell you could make the argument that the turn towards Shipley would have better survived our longer bigger picture organizational benefits. Gainwell had a strong TC last season. So the fact he peaked in practice leading up to his fourth season supplied a level of confidence in him performing his duties. Nothing fantastic…but lowering risk and percentage possibilities of mistakes…mostly considering mental. But really Gainwell’s third string RB talent peaking I believe(d)….was just enough to hold off Shipley week one or two. Gainwell’s best versus Shipley’s low….Gainwell had an experience advantage if nothing else. This just isn’t my way of thinking but so much though. Short term want to win every game. I’m not suggesting just throwing games to gain experience and longer term more important organizational goals. But I do place priority on the Organization first. Not HC win/loss record at all expenses. Like don’t skip so massively developing franchise QB from his first starting TC …for several years after. I lean higher risk though would be fair to say. Going to push learning curve forward early for entire D unit and O unit. Not something I’d rather pull back on slowing the season and career learning curves severely. But clearest situation my thinking countering much of Siri’s one step thinking would be: young players. Haven’t been developing some of these very talented draft picks optimally I’ll just free from opinionated label. Nolan Smith easy one. DLine could have been involved more(several…Booker, Ojomo…). Wore down our DLine in 2023…these guys get their chance finally and looked more than ready and capable. Nolan was instant impact. Could have been fine rolling with Steen at RG. Jurgens young too though. So got him at RG on the field next to Kelce. Can’t hate on that. Plenty of benefit getting Jurgens every tool after just being an understudy. Then got enormous Becton last season. He’s been an underachiever in his career after evaluated and chosen as a high draft pick. So…Becton probably would have disengaged and faltered as just a backup role. Challenged him by his respected best coach…in Stout. But really think there’s a case being missed in all of this of Steen was the franchise best RG option the whole time. He was chosen with specially that job in mind for him to fill. Possessed versatility as added bonus. Swing G. Swing T potential as well since college he was a T. Jurgens great technique understandings and powerful grip to lock in what he gets ahold of. Becton just starts the consideration with he’s such a load on our opponents each week. Smaller Dline opponents really can be brutal. Becton came through with a few devastating blocks each game as his strength also. So Becton just wasn’t some bad option. But…yes SB winning team and all those wins…BUT….Steen looks plenty capable. Sure against the top most elite defenders first season and take it was a mismatch. But otherwise he’s good to go. I’m even going as far to say could have even been a better upgrade in fact the last two seasons. Bigger than Jurgens and physically more natural a G talent. So not the incomparable Becton size….but actually Steen is about as close as comparisons come. Steen is gigantic…just not in comparison to the largest in Becton. Steen fits the physical build and style for RG specifically next to Lane I’d actually state better than Becton or Jurgens. Basically he’s a hybrid of the two players. Better mentally, technique and pass blocking than Becton. Both players T converting to G…so obvious similarities. Bigger more physical mover than Jurgens run blocking.

I still believe Mayer is a perfect fit. He is being wasted sitting behind Bowers in LV. He would be sitting behind Goedert here I suppose, so not sure what could be gained there other than he is younger and could be signed to a longer contract. I wanted Mayer before we re-signed Goedert, so he is probably off the table for now. But we also know Goedert is missing games for us, Mayer could rotate in the slot maybe? We have so many other TE's in but not hearing about them in OTA's, so apparently none are standing out

Feels like you guys tire or question my recollections of the large amounts of Eagles information I consume. But I recall Stout specifically noting there has never been any precedence to point towards with Becton could successful convert and play G at a high level. His size believe the obvious unique factor. But also having never played the position before. I’m seeing that as a notable career resume challenge for Stout to face and accomplish. Notable name with Becton being he was such a high draft pick bust factoring. Stout career resume is just stacked. So it’s just another feather in the cap. Think main determiner was just presenting Stout with a challenge. Unique challange hadn’t ever been accomplished. So just from square one of …can it work? Or will Stout instead detail out exactly the roadblocks that player situation can’t really work and there’s a reason to not be done. Top coach at his craft….given such a unique challenge. If it could be done? Stout’s your guy to prove it. Really Stout’s demeanor, reputation….all are his largest strength. Becton was a demanding Primma Donna head case making demands and being team unflexible resisting positional change. He didn’t even want to switch to RT from LT. Stout got him to buy in to moving to the right side and playing a position he’d never even tried before. Big time display of quality work by Stout. I’m not putting any examples ahead of Mailata. Ultimate Stout challenge and accomplishment. Mailata so worthy of All Pro and Pro Bowls so many years so far. Really a shame he hasn’t been racking up the acknowledgement by awards. Just think about how Mailata whole story is just made for TV fantastic. He easily could have the awards going along attached to his story. Thing is…guys winning the award ahead of him are elite fantastic all time greats. Wirfs considered by many as best in the league. Trent HOF easily arguably the greatest ever done it. Man that guy was the biggest problem for our team of most anybody. Was it Hugh? Trent just stoned so much in Wash. Heck just really everybody…all the time. Washington screwing up with his health and medicals was a terrible mistake drove him out to the Niners. Then our own HOF Lane. How do you beat Lane Johnson out to be rewarded as better than? Tough…Mailata’s own teammate has been his main roadblock to achieving all the awards this entire time.

You clearly only desire to attempt tearing my posts down as your only real response towards my posts. But at least follow along and make the nitpick or complaint be more applicable when just attempting to correct me. Read my statements again. Actually specified it was my belief the biggest opportunity was most likely roster cutdown day over Post June 1st contract cuts.

Long Snapper: a bit long in the tooth…..at least get a guy in to compete that’s young. Give somebody a chance.

Good response. A nourishing sandwich. Ham delivering the cheese.

With that said, I’m 77 so I can’t help but wonder whether your suggestion is age discrimination. Why doesn’t the old guy deserve a chance?

Ok after I even corrected your weak false spin attempt here putting words in my mouth that I exactly stated differently was my belief. Let’s come back to how quality could a Kyzir White signing be for us. Guy has starting experience and snaps played at higher than just a serviceable track record. Not one or two snaps …years worth of. So there’s benefit just there alone around Trot, Smael and Jihad. Put all his NFL knowledge and experience in the room with all these unproven no experience LBs. Heck even Baun hasn’t played that many off ball LB NFL snaps. Jihad is believed to not be ready to go by week one. Which means talented athlete rookie certainly want be ramping up his NFL transitional learning curve. Smael third day draft pick rookie. Trot hasn’t earned any real levels to be completely relied on. Heck…just no NFL experience hardly.

So who’s our day one starting off ball LB other than Baun? Dean in question whether he’ll even suit up in another Eagles game. Now two is most every down need for the position group. A third actually be needed for any quality DC. Fangio I couldn’t even make educated enough guess identifying just how many plays our DC is capable of pulling out of the playbook with a three Off ball LB package. Heard ‘Off Ball’ being switched to ‘Inside’ LB terminology for us this season. Just a D note towards specifically 2025 squad. Which I’m aware of terminology change and will try to adapt accordingly.
