Look…just because somebody asks for a simple yes or no…instead of a much more in depth specific thoughtful answer….doesn’t really change much for me. In my mind the answer is the answer. My answer not faulty because oversimplified. Just faulting my opinion based on just how detailed and thoughtful my breakdown is.

It’s not faulty. It is just talking to yourself.

I supplied my opinions to answer questions but that shouldn’t negate others from responding with their thoughts answering.

As one poster said, "I’ll use this as a sleeping pill when I go to bed.”

Maybe similar…or totally opposite ... you getting my thoughts…supply yours too.

I gave you my thoughts in my FYP reply.

With that said, what I think is irrelevant. I have no power to make anything happen. It is all in the hands of others.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference.

What Eagles games last season featured a five man D-Line?

Vic Fangio's 5-man front allows for a versatile run defense with strong pass rush potential. It's particularly effective against zone-blocking schemes and allows for a variety of pressure looks, including blitzes and "safe" pressures

Believe I bring value while I share.

Have you gotten any feedback about whether that belief is shared by others.

The 5-man front enables the defense to set the edge and control the gaps, especially when using interior defensive linemen to 1.5-gap. AI quoted answer continuing.

Really just referring to the 1.5 gap responsibility duties in a D scheme. Something Fangio known for arguably more than any other D mind in history. One gap penetrate basic 4-3 Dline philosophy.

Two gap responsibility of a 3-4 basic philosophy letting LB roam free to make plays.

Oversimplified…but really super basic understanding applies.

Penny" or 5-1:

This specific front arrangement can be used in any situation, with 5 defensive linemen on the line of scrimmage and 1 linebacker

Example specific D Fangio has used

What question did you ask to get that answer?

I asked it "What is Vic Fangio’s "base” defense?” And got the following

Vic Fangio's "base" defense is often a 3-4 scheme, meaning it primarily uses three defensive linemen and four linebackers in its base, standard alignment. However, this is not a static setup, and Fangio's schemes are known for their flexibility, incorporating various personnel groupings and coverage

The defensive line typically controls 1.5-gaps, while the edge rushers set the edge and contain. Further AI continued answer

Who were the players in the Fangio 5-man front this past season?

Five man front disguise and confusion. Blitz Baun or Dean and drop a player on the line.

This I remember he did with success

How often do you APPROXIMATE the Penny scheme was used by Fangio in all 21 games this past season? More or less than 25?

Dig up the articles. I look forward to reading them.

Given the personnel Fangio had last season, he barely had five D-Linemen … the four active DTs plus BG and Sweat.

It’s all out there dude. Throwing plenty right at you. Fangio is literally the first name comes to mind surrounding using five man fronts in today’s game. Was the biggest talking point with fans scheme wise about the D going into last season. You know…some years it was all Wide Nine talk..and so on.

IDK actually it's more of the Penny which I talked about earlier the 3/3/5 where you can choose to rush the QB or fall back into coverage(DE/OLB) or a mixture of 4 or 5 rushers as the case may be

With a 4-man front … 4-2-5 to be able to combat the opposition’s deployment of receivers.

It was often a 3-3-5 when Nolan Smith was on the field for his snaps.

Fangio has used it so much throughout his career. He used it more than just a couple of times just last season. Five Man front he ran…a little to easy to have seen and missed did me to really need to go all out in proof. Give me some levels of credit…or just look into yourself practically at all. We use it.

Sorry…I’m trying to step by step reply tj posts. Some took extensive answers. No Mas twisting my words I didn’t even say just to try and tear me down I chose to respond to. What I didn’t even say? Actually still could have applied anyway. Which I detailed.

We had a stacked Dline. Not sure how you really slighting that group. Only real question was surrounding having an elite pass rusher.

Take your theoretical concepts and bring them into reality. What names filled out that 5-man front. Fangio only had three DEs to start the season, Sweat, BG, and Huff. By the end of the season he only had one … Sweat. So who was in the 5-man front? BG and Sweat as the DEs and Carter, Davis and Williams as the DTs? Or Carter, Williams, and Ojomo as the DTs?

Few tricks disguising but easiest most basic use was run D. Get Jordan Davis out there at Nose.

Right, the Penny

Not slighting them at all. In fact heaping praise on them for getting done with four what other teams needed five to accomplish.

Which "bad opinion" are you referring to? and what does your response have to do with this post?

The one I exactly quoted it as a response to. Think there easily could he quality options to take advantage of after cuts are made or leading to a trade. Then pointed out how an injury or two in TC or training camp creates a need not previously believed existed. Any player not in shape or underperforming. Like all the things in such a variety of ways seems to happen every season. But…also could be not needed and don’t make a move. That option is also a possibility.

Both sides must be covered LOL

Thoughtful full knowledgable evaluation that really proved to be very accurate right from the get go. I formed that evaluation when he was considered an early second rounder even.
