You clearly only desire to attempt tearing my posts down as your only real response towards my posts. But at least follow along and make the nitpick or complaint be more applicable when just attempting to correct me. Read my statements again. Actually specified it was my belief the biggest opportunity was most likely roster cutdown day over Post June 1st contract cuts.

Good point.

With the recent liberalization of the June 1 provision, it seems that most decisions are actually exercised "prematurely".

In fact, I assumed that we had exhausted our use...only to realize that the limit (2) only applies to the above staement.

Starting day one Kyzir White and Baun? I’d call that a quality move in fact. Our starting Inslde LB.

Wouldn’t even be forced to change that all season. Could just try to work Jihad in according to what he earns. Kyzir is a proven vet standard at starting Inside LB. Would be a quality move I couldn’t argue against at all.

But…going deeper…he’d bring the wisdom and knowledge gained by his NFL experience with several NFL D minds to jump start two rookies and a second year no experienced group. Quality just right there. Even doesn’t play a down. Which he’s really more than likely the easy starter player in reality. Kyzir strength is considered his pass coverage abilities. So even just have him pair up switching complimenting Trot by situational substitution.

Right....just like our position with the Hurts contract, no need to do anything. Take that approach as compared to having to make an impact move ...Like KC has to make urgent moves with the Mahomes contract because it wasn’t put in place the right way

I agree that the Mahomes contract was not fully thought through, but I wouldn’t say the moves they have made are urgent. Rather I would say they are following a well laid out plan, because,

(1) the Cap adjustment changes have come like clockwork in April each year … just after the start of the NFL year, and

(2) none of the changes have added more money for Mahomes to the contract, and

(3) the September 2023 adjustment that bumped the guaranteed money up to $208.1 million, if done when the extension was signed would have resulted in an astronomical dollar amount giver the $450 million total value of the extension. That would have put the Chiefs over a financial barrel.

JMO

So yeah…even though I didn’t apply had to be quality post June 1st signing calendar significance….like you twisted No Mas. Kyzir I see as a quality addition. He does fit the bill. Bring him in he’s turn key Inside LB starter. At worst…he supply a standard level which the young guys have to achieve and earn the job overtaking.

Some Five man fronts he likes to utilize. Dime is a given. DeJean could really be a key peg inside. He could be Nickle CB, Dime S or LB.

Not a single 5-man front in the Super Bowl.

The closest thing to a 5-man front I’ve seen Fangio deploy is a 3-4-4.

How specific do I need to get on which guys we add that were roster cuts from other teams? That’s when it will happen. And that’s what will be the determining factors. Better than specific individuals…gave you the answer most every season it applies.

I actually agree with Ham on this. We won’t know who the roster cuts are until they actually happen.

Kyzir White we could consider bringing back. He’d be a pass coverage off ball LB filling that need. Or really could just fill the Oren Burks vacancy.

Why do you see a need there? Help me understand your thinking. Didn’t Smael fill that vacancy?

Kyzir White 137 tackles last season

9 tackles for a loss

an interception

Our starter Dean severe football athlete injury…may never start again.

Jihad injured rookie not expected to participate all TC.

Yeah…quality signing easily considered a starter. Tons of quality in signing him. Every which way around it…other than move Trot and Smael back to mostly backup reps and learning curve experience.

Oh Fangio has and does like his 5 Man front. Making a mistake if you only consider what Fangio deployed in that SB. It was dominated by one D…Cover 3. He didn’t hardly touch digging into his playbook. Rest of the season and his career he’s broke out tons more than needed in that Sb. Heck did he even blitz in that SB?

Justin Simmons would like to come here. Of course everyone wants to come to the SB squad

My personal opinion is that we don’t need Simmons unless there is an injury situation in the safeties that we have currently that would make Simmons a good addition, but right now I’d like to see the youth movement continue at safety

"Pass the bill so we can find out what's in it"? When the cuts happen we should know who gets cut 🤣 I'm going to guess though they are guys we don't need. Really sticking my neck out here

Fangio is known for few to still tap into the five man front. Just can only say you’re just wrong here. It in fact was even arguably the biggest personnel package talking point going into the Fangio addition last season. You could trust me…or if needed I can dog up tons of articles and such researching our DC Fangio for you. Really worth all efforts digging into Fangio for us Eagles fans. I’m seeing this DC staying right here at this job for years to come finishing out his career. As big a fixture to dive into as any piece of our organization here…short of Rosie and Lurie I won’t foolishly omit.

So if we signed him you wouldn’t believe he’d be our best S?

Dean suffered a bad injury. He might never suit up at a top level for us again. Trot and Smael day three unproven options. Jihad a rookie not expected to learn and participate in TC. When will Jihad be ready? To even practice fully? Still a rookie even once fully healthy to begin practicing.

Reality could sign Kyzir to answer just our whole situation going on there to be the starter. All the young guys have to first earn getting worked in and playing time. I want to believe in Trot and Smael personally. But less optimistically and more reliably just plug and play Kyzir. Work Jihad in piece by piece as they can get him in there. You know mostly focus in on certain packages for Jihad to get him in there.

Just easy answer to me with Kyzir. Proven starting Inside LB. Just eliminate relying solely on the optimism part. But maybe Jihad on a good timetable to return. Maybe Dean overcomes and recovers fully and timely. Maybe Trot proves serviceable. Maybe at least Trot and Smael tag team duties serviceably. Not terrible every which way to look at things.

Sign Kyzir and he starts while sharing his vet wisdoms on the field and business professionally with the 3 NFL noobs in that room for us longer term. Proven NFL starter level standard to beat out for these young guys to achieve earning snaps. An option to sub in even if Jihad just lights things on fire starting week one….but displays any weak areas(like any and every rookie dies).

Kyzir eight season this year. Not believing his salary demands are anything massive. Not vet minimum….

Rosie has a board or list formulating you can be sure. Deep dives into each team and their financials. Team a: facing difficult cap hit from vet where they have a youngster looking in need of getting on the field easy situations to identify. Just like how we know situations about our team. Huff we were shipping. Bradberry we needed to ditch. On and on….but PS has to play out and injuries don’t massively switch situations.

But some young kid lights things up in practice and PS. Get a sixth round pick like …uhmmm Jason Kelce. Turn to that kid as a rookie. Changes made with scheme or coordinators. Old D fit better than new one.

So I have a few possibilities in my possible roster cutdowns looming. But really a significant task to research at my Eagles official pay grade motivational enthusiasm to par take.
