Sign Kyzir and he starts while sharing his vet wisdoms on the field and business professionally with the 3 NFL noobs in that room for us longer term. Proven NFL starter level standard to beat out for these young guys to achieve earning snaps. An option to sub in even if Jihad just lights things on fire starting week one….but displays any weak areas(like any and every rookie dies).

Not worried about his wisdom, we have coaches for that. If he helps us as a PLAYER then NP. Howie will weigh it all out. Hendrickson on a long contract is a Howie move

Simmons I could conclude if signed would be our top S. Would enable depth S to be more sprinkled in…for varying looks and packages. Could consider him a potential Pro Bowl level acquisition, right? Who would be totally against that? But…also I’d make the statement and case…our S room is as strong as I can ever remember it being. Really been weak far too often instead.

Second round pick…hand picked by top person you could turn to in Fangio. So Mukaba plugging right in to start. Sidney just held back by injury recovery. He’s ready to go IMO. Blank is locked in starter. McCollum already proven enough to earn Fangio finding some ways to get him involved even.

Again though…inexperienced Rookie, Sidney and McCollum benefitting from taking in elite vet wisdoms…nothing but beneficial towards their entire careers. Simmons I’d say would be our best S even just point blank skill bringing in best option.

When i saw you reply I was going to say...." you actually read all this " ... God Bless.

And Matt specifically asked not to write a long novel... lol.

You clearly only desire to attempt tearing my posts down as your only real response towards my posts. But at least follow along and make the nitpick or complaint be more applicable when just attempting to correct me. Read my statements again. Actually specified it was my belief the biggest opportunity was most likely roster cutdown day over Post June 1st contract cuts.

Breaking news is coming....not Huff

How would you interpret that?

Blank earned a leadership role. Mukaba targeted with specific understandings of pairing next to Blankenship back there. So …probably not baking the move for Simmons…unless things pan out poorly(mostly just injury occurs).

I think the jury is already out. However, I think he could be a valuable asset - if utilized adventagiously (movement/miss-matches, etc.).

The problem is that being target number four and if utilized advantageously (movement/mismatches, etc.) are probably mutually exclusive. That is especially true in an offensive scheme in which there are no more than 25 passing plays in a game.

Huff being traded. That will be Breaking news. So another move…could result in other breaking news. Are you defining ‘breaking news’ as only the top most significant stories? Like only a Trey Hendricson colossal level of internet engulfing Eagles news means this?

Breaking news applies to really any signing occurs for me. Doesn’t have to be click bait irresistibly NFL earth shattering.

I agree that the Mahomes contract was not fully thought through, but I wouldn’t say the moves they have made are urgent. Rather I would say they are following a well laid out plan, because,

(1) the Cap adjustment changes have come like clockwork in April each year … just after the start of the NFL year, and

(2) none of the changes have added more money for Mahomes to the contract, and

(3) the September 2023 adjustment that bumped the guaranteed money up to $208.1 million, if done when the extension was signed would have resulted in an astronomical dollar amount giver the $450 million total value of the extension. That would have put the Chiefs over a financial barrel.

JMO

And all of the changes have added more cap hits down the road....so my point which still I'm not sure if has gotten through yet.. the numbers you see in 2029,2030, 2031... are not real numbers as they will get much higher as " thr clockwork" changes occur and KC keeps pushing Mahomes cap hits further down the road.

Hurts has all " option bonuses" there is no need to address anything...unless they choose to cut or trade him... until 2029. Already laid out properly long term.

I don’t know about the Green move at RG. But even with it not being my guy looking at so favorably…Stout involved comes with certain level of credit to not question and criticize easily. I’ve been seemingly higher on Steen than most. So if you combined both fairly wide spread negative opinions surrounding each player you could be open towards a move for a RG. I even would point towards further depth on our roster at G as options though. Kid like Keegan taking a big leap at this early career stage.

I just posted known can’t be argued against on the street FA players. That’s ignoring potential trade candidates. Like Hendrickson or lesser earth shattering moves. June 1st opened up significant cap money for our Eagles. Officially moves can be made actually signing and paying with so much more cap room maneuverability.

See there is a balance to things. I’ve had some complaints under Siri about some of the youth just getting reps and their learning curves ramped up closer to maximum. Really even just applies to most all ways and areas for Siri’s thinking. Not really going to crunch in real harsh on Siri for not getting Shipley more acclimated and utilized rookie season. He’d built up Gainwell for his perhaps crowning peak career season…possibly his final season for us…last of his rookie contract we weren’t jumping on extending him beyond at least. If it was truely believed last valued purpose we’d get from Gainwell you could make the argument that the turn towards Shipley would have better survived our longer bigger picture organizational benefits. Gainwell had a strong TC last season. So the fact he peaked in practice leading up to his fourth season supplied a level of confidence in him performing his duties. Nothing fantastic…but lowering risk and percentage possibilities of mistakes…mostly considering mental. But really Gainwell’s third string RB talent peaking I believe(d)….was just enough to hold off Shipley week one or two. Gainwell’s best versus Shipley’s low….Gainwell had an experience advantage if nothing else. This just isn’t my way of thinking but so much though. Short term want to win every game. I’m not suggesting just throwing games to gain experience and longer term more important organizational goals. But I do place priority on the Organization first. Not HC win/loss record at all expenses. Like don’t skip so massively developing franchise QB from his first starting TC …for several years after. I lean higher risk though would be fair to say. Going to push learning curve forward early for entire D unit and O unit. Not something I’d rather pull back on slowing the season and career learning curves severely. But clearest situation my thinking countering much of Siri’s one step thinking would be: young players. Haven’t been developing some of these very talented draft picks optimally I’ll just free from opinionated label. Nolan Smith easy one. DLine could have been involved more(several…Booker, Ojomo…). Wore down our DLine in 2023…these guys get their chance finally and looked more than ready and capable. Nolan was instant impact. Could have been fine rolling with Steen at RG. Jurgens young too though. So got him at RG on the field next to Kelce. Can’t hate on that. Plenty of benefit getting Jurgens every tool after just being an understudy. Then got enormous Becton last season. He’s been an underachiever in his career after evaluated and chosen as a high draft pick. So…Becton probably would have disengaged and faltered as just a backup role. Challenged him by his respected best coach…in Stout. But really think there’s a case being missed in all of this of Steen was the franchise best RG option the whole time. He was chosen with specially that job in mind for him to fill. Possessed versatility as added bonus. Swing G. Swing T potential as well since college he was a T. Jurgens great technique understandings and powerful grip to lock in what he gets ahold of. Becton just starts the consideration with he’s such a load on our opponents each week. Smaller Dline opponents really can be brutal. Becton came through with a few devastating blocks each game as his strength also. So Becton just wasn’t some bad option. But…yes SB winning team and all those wins…BUT….Steen looks plenty capable. Sure against the top most elite defenders first season and take it was a mismatch. But otherwise he’s good to go. I’m even going as far to say could have even been a better upgrade in fact the last two seasons. Bigger than Jurgens and physically more natural a G talent. So not the incomparable Becton size….but actually Steen is about as close as comparisons come. Steen is gigantic…just not in comparison to the largest in Becton. Steen fits the physical build and style for RG specifically next to Lane I’d actually state better than Becton or Jurgens. Basically he’s a hybrid of the two players. Better mentally, technique and pass blocking than Becton. Both players T converting to G…so obvious similarities. Bigger more physical mover than Jurgens run blocking.

Well so much for not lecturing … 🥸🥸🥸

I wasn’t really high on Uche and Ojululari signings/moves. Ojulari extra comp pick price a small factor there. So even though those two weren’t the guys I really desired? I can still see where the logic was based on with each guy. Each depth at certain OLB duties and strengths. So not terrible signings at all. Strengths believed to fit needed roles.. if each player durably produces at least bare main function role. Uche : pass rusher that can set the Edge versus the rushing game or mobile QB(yes thinking Jayden Daniels containment as a clear situation our D will face twice being a very very specific situated need. Defend Jayden Daniels I see as our top challenge we can’t afford to not be ready to handle in 2025….well beyond…but it’s enough to just focus on top individual challenge to our D)

Well we don't know because you never answered my question. A)You are high on Daniels or B) he won't last which is it?

Ojulari huge wing span and can run. Also could factor in against Jayden Daniels.

But let’s just say if a player on D we only need just against the Washington matchup. That’s as high as it gets for a need for us to protect said player on our 53. Tough to actually achieve affording such a luxury. But my opinion is Washington I’d weight as our most significant opponent. Not believing just any old game equals every other game. Washington can take everything away from us. A loss to them significantly is a double whammy. It’s a win for them while loss for us being a two game swing. Add in potential tiebreaker formulas significance. Washington sweep over us really raises difficulty of winning the NFC East. Gives them tiebreaker on us as well as four game swing comparison. Even further NFC seeding tiebreakers in conference record could be involved in seedings.

I still believe Mayer is a perfect fit. He is being wasted sitting behind Bowers in LV. He would be sitting behind Goedert here I suppose, so not sure what could be gained there other than he is younger and could be signed to a longer contract. I wanted Mayer before we re-signed Goedert, so he is probably off the table for now. But we also know Goedert is missing games for us, Mayer could rotate in the slot maybe? We have so many other TE's in but not hearing about them in OTA's, so apparently none are standing out

I like Mayer more than Pitts as a fit for Hurts’ Offense.

What individual player is more significant as an opponent to the 2025 Eagles? Jayden Daniels…my answer by a mile. Maybe Micah Parsons …if Cowboys surprise and Lane can’t suit up he could wreck our matchup. Ceedee Lamb was my guy last season…and longer term. If we drafted Q and Coop first two rounds and both were poor matching up to that elite player? Would really tarnish their shine for our team. Q actually came out beyond any reasonable expectations against arguably this most elite top WR league wide. Lamb still not to be ignored. Heck Nabers gets any decent supporting cast with the Giants and he’s a tremendous problem. He’s phenomenal…just to be real instead of biased slamming my most hated rival. Giants just drafted what’s being advertised and hyped as generational pass rusher to consider also. I know it’s really really a reach and strain to think of the giants actually stepping up to contend …or even be a winning team. But….got Wilson…made the right moves way too much for my liking this offseason. Took the top player in the entire draft…right after getting Nabers last draft…they so were the team to reach for Shedeur at the top of the draft…and resisted. Took the no brainer just incredibly problematic Edge player then came back and still got a stab at their top QB prospect. Made additions last two seasons across the team even. Three QBs on their roster upgrading over total Daniel Jones reliance. That’s about as significant as team roster changes come. I’m not seeing it just yet this year with the Giants…but? They have options things could actually work out for them too well. Wilson is an upgrade…Dart could prove to be a real threat. Terrible QBs were chucking the ball to Nabors producing at high levels.

Feels like you guys tire or question my recollections of the large amounts of Eagles information I consume.

No. The amount of information you consume matters to you, but it is actually irrelevant. How efficiently and effectively you convey your thoughts to others is relevant. Frequently your thoughts obsess on convincing yourself how right you are … and even more importantly have been.
