Would you suck up 2028 down year for best possible two year All In chase now?

Yep…I’m All In two year window. No problem taking a down year lump. My problem would me missing great opportunity right in our faces. I’m with Hurts…win Championship!

I’m willing to fairly extremely see it opposite. Want to give best shot next two years as can take. Want to get it done. A field goal short…over future draft pick contribution I’m accepting the payoff tradeoff. Take lumps on 2028 cap for best shot to win Lombardis next two seasons.

Understood. Chocolate and Vanilla.

Or…was me presenting a question to the entire board that knowledgable Eagles fans could answer.

That would be tampering…technically…under contract with another team. But agree..what everybody does.

Not in this case. The Bengals have given him permission to seek a trade.

From the article

Confusing when listing OLB as LB ..was he on the line? Don’t care much if he’s got a hand in the dirt or not. Don’t really case about position labels. How close to the line of scrimmage is my deciding factor on it.

If you only want a two-year window, then okay. But I am greedy. I want more than two.

And the Defense already is poised to give three or four.

All In on two year window doesn’t kill anything in the future on its own. Hurts still young. But…very key two year window very much applies so really setup great for two seasons. Beyond that it’s not the same outlook. Not saying it’s bad. Just much less certain…with these two years certainty is very high and achievable.

If the Bengals know that the Eagles are trading for him to extend … like they did with AJ … then the price goes up from a 3rd Round pick to a 1st Round pick.

Could be a 1st and a 3rd. Consistent top level pass rusher. Not a first this season but future is also factoring. Trade charts 2026 first isn’t equal to 2025 first.

Look at Hendrickson stats. Not as well known widely famous…but production is at the highest of levels. Just every year…expensive player to acquire. No way around that part.

70 1/5 sacks last five years…think that’s right with Hendrickson. Compare that with anybody.

What Eagles games last season featured a five man D-Line?

Was this question ever answered?

50 minutes ago, cunninghamtheman said:

You too? You didn’t notice it either? Wow!

The question was asked of Ham, but since he is too skeered to answer it, the answer is zero.

Think there’s a disconnect on just how elite upper level consistent production this player is at.

But why should I place all my concerns surrounding others opinions instead of my own?

BINGO

Absolutely correct. Don’t see him even accepting not getting his last big payday. He’s got the leverage. Though no big trade happened yet in Bengals favor otherwise.

22 minutes ago, mattwill said:

I agree with everything you have said, but Hendrickson’s sources have most recently been saying that he is so pissed at the Bengals that he is prepared to sit out 2025 entirely.

In that scenario he gets no income in 2025 and is a UFA in 2026.

The alternative is to play for the Eagles in 2025, ball out on a #1 Defense, hopefully get a SB ring, get paid $15.8 million instead of $0 million, and is a UFA in 2026.

Which would you choose?

I’m of the belief if he’s dead set on grabbing his last big payday he can force his way to make that happen.

See call it whatever label you wish about me…but this is where a knowledgable Eagles fan such as myself is superior to today’s level of AI. Fangio runs a hybrid scheme at this point. Every single NFL coach base D is Nickle. Look up the stats yourself. Nickle not even to be debated as most widely used across the entire NFL.

(A) @cunninghamtheman was the person who introduced the use of AI as the authority on Fangio’s Defense, not @mattwill

(B) so if you think AI is bogus in this case, then your prior use of the AI response you got was also bogus

(C) the question I asked you about what you asked AI is still unanswered. Is there a reason you are avoiding answering it?

Conclude whatever you wish. Nothing I even considered to be in question that we did. Or with Fangio. Difficult specific answer to just dig up for you though. I have to rewatch full replays of every game just so I can inform you of exactly everything you missed last season that occurred. Just don’t know a great source I can grab those stats from.

I’m confident in my answer and understanding …just memory of Fangio running five man fronts. It happened…you missed it…consider it or not. Conclude what you wish. Nothing biggie to me. Just informed you otherwise to educate you if you were interested in that intel of our fixture running our D.

Vic Fangio's 5-man front allows for a versatile run defense with strong pass rush potential. It's particularly effective against zone-blocking schemes and allows for a variety of pressure looks, including blitzes and "safe" pressures

Instant AI first answer to get you started here learning about our top D mind coach locked in for years.

I never said anything like 5 man front was most widely used personnel package. So flawed question you asked the internet…sadly flawed answer you arrived at also. All the way around that went bad for you. Hahaha

Your own words above. You speak loudly.

What question did you ask to get that answer?

I asked it "What is Vic Fangio’s "base” defense?” And got the following

Vic Fangio's "base" defense is often a 3-4 scheme, meaning it primarily uses three defensive linemen and four linebackers in its base, standard alignment. However, this is not a static setup, and Fangio's schemes are known for their flexibility, incorporating various personnel groupings and coverage

And my words speak clearly.

Yeah..not saying it’s the greatest. But your question wasn’t of any quality to it. It’s an answer old school thinking would have applied to Fangio. 3-4 or 4-3? He was 3-4….which evolved into pretty hybrid now. But that base D thinking severely outdated. Nickle D is most used D by every single NFL team for so many years now. I just tried to give you quick answers without the extensive leg work required to actually answer. So yeah…I trust my own knowledge over AI…but just massive undertaking to pull out a specific D package being used on each snap. Way too large of any expectation from you or FL if you actually believe I’m jumping right on that.

Rewatch a few games..is all I can tell you.

Time and responses have rolled by…”Coach most uses five man fronts NFL” "Vic Fangio five man front”….definitely not "Fangio Base D”

Five man front isn’t a base package. I mean just..duh. Not sure the disconnect on your flawed question. But you aren’t at fault for AI flawed answer to your flawed question.

Was a Legendary level contributor and top levels of replies returned. If I was to base my life according to what everybody else thinks about me.

I have been monitoring all those replies you get, and you are frequently the person who gets the most replies a day. However, 90% of those replies are "Ha, Ha’s”. @GreenbleedinNC loves to give them to you.

Given how often you reply to yourself (65 straight being your unofficial record) your Legendary level post count of 58,000+ is simply a measurement of your longwindedness.
