Conclusion----- If we're looking for an OG who can probably start day 1,we should stand at 22. If we seek a T/G who can start at RG then take over for Lane you can move up ALOT,a little,or stand and still get one of those. If you want to help the secondary, for me, DeJean is the only way to go. I like others in round 2 so it doesn't mean we don't take one,but DeJean has the most versatility and is the best fit if I had to spend my round 1 on a DB .I have him anywhere from 16-21,or you can take the risk and hope he somehow falls in your lap at 22. If we stay at 22 Fashanu,Barton,Latu would be my top 3. I would however remind you I like Beebe at RG in round 2 and he is not that much worse than Barton,so Barton would really have to stand out big for us not to just wait until round 2. If we want a DT,  we can trade back for additional draft capital and take Kris Jenkins who is a fine prospect and I would have no issues if we did that if our targets in the other 3 scenarios were gone and or too expensive to move up for. Trading back for Jenkins(DT) would yield at least an additional 2 pick and with the then 3 round 2 picks(plus whatever),you can fill 3 positions we would need (CB,T/G,LB,S,or edge) I really see no legit reason to select a WR early. TOO MANY late guys that would be great here

Now I will take this(potentially BS 🤣) conclusion and see who we visited with since I read in our past we select like 60 some percent of our picks off our visit list which could narrow things down a bit. I assume the 40% would be late picks we had no need to visit with,so there is an even stronger chance the round 1,2,3 guys are on that list. I hope my Prozac lasts another 5 days 🤣

So after cross referencing, it appears to me that if we moved up it would be for 1 of 3 guys. Fatanu(T/G),Bowers or DeJean. Fanatu/Bowers would require the bigger lift  If we stay put,the targets should be Latu,Guyton,Chop Robinson. Now the question is would Howie select a DB first? Losing out on the Bower-a-thon would hurt, but that would take more capital than Howie wants to spend in my view and with so many T/G's in this draft there is no real reason to bust your draft on Fatanu. So if you think Howie will buck history,DeJean is the pick even with a small move up. If you don't think Howie has the confidence to pull that trigger it's Latu,Guyton,or Chop. I'm going to say Howie puts on his big Boy pants and makes the move for DeJean,so based on analyticals and "best guesses" I will stand by my(TD123) first choice of DeJean

Offer Cincy     22,53,211                  for 18,80,115 if DeJean is still on the board

So after all my analytics, research, weeding through scouting reports, stat sheets, watching highlights, and looking for information off the beaten path, I can say with certainty that your guess is as as good as mine 🤣 . Called it!!!!!

Meh

If we don't trade our pick should be at around 10:30

The way it usually works is I stay up to watch it then Howie trades it the pick before

How shocking would it be if he doesn’t trade the pick?

I can see us moving up for Mitchell or Arnold and I'd be more than OK with that. Don't see us moving back. Would like Guyton if that's the guy Lane's picked to come to Stout U

I can see the draft being on 4/25/24 8:00 - 11:30 PM ET. LOL

I’d be for that for sure. Can’t see it happening though. But maybe…just maybe…our D being so disgustingly bad in pass coverage last season forces Rosie’s hand. Can the fact we were 31st in pass D overpower Rosie to finally compel him he needs to grab that quality DB finally? One can hope.

I move for DeJean. He's the best fit IMO and if Howie wants to "shock and awe" he breaks tradition and "does the right thing". If DeJean is there at 16, I trade with the Hawks. It would be better if we took the risk and waited until 18 for Dejean and traded with Cincy. The RG spot is very fixable with a guy in round 2(like Beebe). 22 to 16 would be the biggest lift I would do though. Could be either the Hawks or Cincy trades up for Bowers with the Jets

DeVonta Smith has been pumping iron so much they are calling him Swole Batman. Said he’s up to 190

I think he would have drafted CB a few times if the opportunity presented itself.  I think we would have the CB from Denver if he was there.

This year I would assume he has trade targets to move up for... specifically CBs... not WR or TE.  That's why if a trade is made...it will be for a specific player and not just a spot to get 5th or whatever rated player on their board!

But I think the biggest improvement on the defense would be less of this...

I would actually like to see us nab 2 of them and a LB as well even if 2/3 of those require a years wait. I would like DeJean(123's boy). He will succeed in the NFL no matter who gets him. Secondary and O line should be the highest priorities. If he did well in camp,.there is no reason Dejean can't contribute out of the gate. But this is Howie we're talking about and I feel I will be disappointed that he ignores those positions like always. Even at 22,50,53 there is no reason we cannot get good players. I seriously want Ainias Smith in the slot. He's gettable as a late round WR and could impact next year, even getting a few reps in this next year. I would also like a TE to work with since previous choices have not seemed to climb the ladder to solid #2 status. We need to keep bringing those in until we find someone who can step up. We also need to add a RB in the draft and pick up another FA. I was sorry to see Scott go,he was at least a solid BU. But time to give another young guy a shot and there are nice RB's to steal with a late pick. It's kind of weird for me not to be looking at top WR's because we already have 2 and that's what I am best at. That being said,I wish Harrison the best,he's going to be outstanding if he has a decent QB. 3 WR's I have targeted. Smith as I mentioned, Malik Washington and as a REAL late pick,Tahj Washington from USC. Any of those 3 would be serviceable in the slot going forward

yeah this was AWFUL and we kept doing it anyway. I understand you don't want to get beat deep, but giving away free first down's is just as bad lol

I like Smith he has a good work ethic. Doesn't lip off, just does his job quietly. Any weight and strength added would make him just that much better.

If you are a step ahead on the thinking here this draft you are realizing which players are likely to be cut loose during or after the draft. Swift trade. CGJ trade. Those type examples and more. Several quality options are coming up to bring in these vets.
