Getting married is a fun and joyous time. The stress is gone because they have made the commitment to each other. It gives players a foundation. It;s not a distration if you are a professional

Just not what I’ve experienced. It’s the biggest distraction almost possible. Massively stressful over every little detail and the fact of committing the rest of your life to a person officially. You mention his financials…he has to work out an agreeable prenuptial agreement with her…which is a whole extra stressful situation…on top of everything that comes with a whole marriage ceremony. Rehearsal dinner…possibly a second wedding ceremony brought to one of their hometowns….honeymoon….

Lol... CMC isn't planning squat with the wedding... different world than we live in.  " here's some money , talk to mom, you guys plan it and tell me what to do and I'll see about how I can squeeze my workout in. "

Ham had to be wasted and incoherent at the altar with EMS parked outside, due to the excessive pain and suffering of all that planning that moved him so close to death, the minister had a coffin in the back room waiting in case he needed to deliver a different service 🤣

I planned pretty much everything.  Was a lot of fun.  Certainly the bachelor party ( which I'm not sure in what world a groom plans????) was zero stress.

Idk...the biggest party with all your closest people... I could think of a lot of way more stressful things.

I did mine also.It took 1.5 years(because I am deaf and can't make phone calls LOL). I wrote the entire ceremony, sang her a song acapella, had to keep the refrigerated butterflies alive for their release. I ordered and assembled everything. Arch, flowers,DJ,custom runner, candles in bags, the resort hotel, paid 100% of all of it,even bought her a car as a wedding gift. It was a blast seeing it all come together(right down to the names on the M&M's in little bags and floating candles on every table. The other people at the resort thought we were celebs because it was so lavish. Then she thanked me by basically stealing everything I owned. Lucky me. The minister asked if he could keep my ceremonial writings/vows for others.I told him he could. He said in his 35 years he never read anything better. It was a pretty big EVENT. I also paid for her families rooms(6 of them at $550.00 a pop for 3 days and 2 nights as well as $1400.00 for the wedding suite. It was $41,000.00 and change all said and done and I did everything but bake the cake lol

It’s the bridezillas(there is a reason that term has been coined) that sweat every little detail about that most special dream day. Your bride stresses…you stress. Just normal common sense stuff all the rest of the world is so very familiar with. They have whole movies and shows all about it. A big wedding is a massive ordeal.

I got married at a very old plantation of a guy that was the richest guy in America back in his time long ago. Fiancée stressed about any detail that wasn’t going perfectly. I had to write my vows. I sang a song to her. Prepared for our first dance together….on and on and on …..the nerves coming on the day of the event…

Made sure I had flowers and a card a wrote her to help her relax right before she walked out….a million moving parts go into a wedding.

It took plenty of planning and meetings for sure since I did an out of town wedding.

Did you quit your job during this time? Was the stress so bad you ceased to function? Were you like hospitalized? Bridezillas are few and far between. If they want to stress out and break down so be it,a real man can cope just fine. The first time it was planned by us both. neither of us quit our jobs nor were affected by it. It was a time of bonding and fun. Just very stupid to think a real man cannot handle getting married, in addition to his other duties and work. It's an insanely ridiculous point we should not even be talking about. JFC even if he had to plan it ALL himself, there is still no reason this affects his work. Just a totally ridiculous and ludicrous statement that anyone would be affected by this. I will not respond to moronic posts on this subject again except to laugh at them. Now, taking away their binky, could be a different thing entirely 🤣

Now we need Ham to build a new wing onto Novacare and lead a staff of wedding planners. Maybe we can call it the "Little Eaglets" wing with Lamaz type classes for relaxation and hand out baby swoop bedtime dolls to the best man, ushers, bridesmaids and matron of honor and have aromatherapy in the showers during this time of complete collapse. Maybe Hurts can help avoid the total collapse after he learns to do it himself. We could have little pansy stickers we place on the players helmet at this difficult time,so other players and opponents as well as the officiating crew would know he should not be roughed up or even yelled at nor even mildly abused. Adding table side counselors in the lunchroom with an EMS crew standing by in the event of cardiac arrest would give added assistance and support for the overly traumatic event about to take place. Just ridiculous and I would like to see if this subject has come up on any other teams boards. I'm guessing it has not. Lord help us all if the pregnancy test comes back positive. I know that ruined Phillip Rivers career(12 kids I believe)

Happy 4th everyone

Studies have found that 70% of engaged couples or newlyweds described the process of planning a wedding as "extremely stressful”,

Weddings found as the most stressful life event in almost half of brides

A Zola survey of 500 engaged or newlywed couples revealed a whopping 96 per cent found it nerve-wracking.
