This whole part to me is a big part to that equation. Yes... upgrade from Quez...who was limited in what he did.... running deep on clearout routes... Campbell can do that if needed... then Smith can give some production once he has the ball. Then he can be a decoy as well. Orbit motion...end around etc. New elements to the offense. The stale one you complained about. A couple new elements added to what is already here, can be huge.

AJ, Smith, Goedert, Barkley...... it's not really concerning... its the 5th option. One last year that was limited as we rarely used motion so that option 5 was a good decoy... and a few YAC creation plays is a few more than last year. A stale offense... a few different things can make a huge difference. It's not a staring role that's needed... not even a key supporting role... just anything that's a new element that can end up being just one more thing the defense has to worry about.
July 22, 20241 yr I think the biggest addition to the offense... might sound crazy... is Shipley. Imagine 5 carries from a RB 3 last year. Instead of incomplete passes or bubble screens etc. If we could have a fresh RB carry 5 times... keep the other RBs fresh, keep the chains moving.... keep the D off the field. Could have huge effect at the end of games. Could easily keep the QB from getting hit.

Having those couple extra carries go to a punishing back.
July 22, 20241 yr Slowik, the interest in him as a head coaching candidate seems to be significant. According to ESPN's Dan Graziano, the Seattle Seahawks have requested an interview with Slowik, making them the fifth team—along with the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders—to make such a request during the current hiring cycle. This guy is already so coveted across the league. Is there any way we can lure such a top candidate here?

We lost that physical intimidating mentality of our Oline attacking and punishing opponents on the ground game. A RB pumping his shoulder pads into the defender would be icing on the cake to finish runs. Having our opponent wear down of the course of a game is read of ourselves.

So in reference to why I am looking forward to 2024 offense. Quez had 15 catches for 142 yards and 1 TD.... week 18 vs the Giants he had 8-93-1. The rest of the season 7 catches for 49 yards. I assume A Smith or Campbell are an upgrade there. Penny and Scott had 31 carries for 119 yards.... 9 carries in the last game. 22 carries in 16 games from RB 3. I assume Shipley cam contribute more than that...and get at least 4 yards per carry. That's not even looking at Barkley or a new play caller. Or that everyone is saying Hurts is looking better than ever.

July 22, 20241 yr But I don’t know that Campbell or Smith are in fact upgrades. Smith will be eventually. How long will he take though? Clearly have eyes on him this TC and PS. But not just need to develop him receiving…need him to harden his body for durability to withstand a long pro season.

We kept the coach that lost our team and failed to adjust and gave any answers …because they realized the good options weren’t available this past offseason. Basically was a choice between tearing everything up for Bellicheat. The plan needs to be about what it will take to secure a top guy in Slowik this next offseason. Lions OC a big candidate also. These are good fitting options for Rosie to not have to give up all his power to.
July 22, 20241 yr Or if Moore is wildly successful and earns the job then he gets promoted. At this moment probably the most ideal situation for us. But I don’t view him so highly.

Didn't you say a little while back...." football is a simple game" Why can't Smith be ready to run a few routes right away? How many hours do you think he spends working on football between rookie camp and the start of the season? Why do you make things so complicated?

Yet Quez was like the fifth WR option last season. OZ id prefer over Parris as a WR probably…and he blocked his butt of at least. Held on and caught passes…the few that came his way.

Riff between QB and coach Players backed the coach...not happy with the QB QB wanted more aggressive offense, coach wanted more conservative ... The organization changed coordinators and first big move was signing the best available RB. But again....you were thinking they were going to get penalized for tampering...because it makes a great TMZ, Bleacher report, Barstool story.

Which WRs do you think compliment AJ and Smith better? Like forget the names....just the styles. What do you think would compliment Barkley, Goedert, AJ and Smitty better? Do they need a blocking WR? One to run a go route? A possession guy? Or maybe a guy that can move all around, stretch the defense sideways, and take advantage once he has the ball in his hands?

You have an agenda... when you get an agenda, your mind starts to wander from reality.
