Agree, but Milroe could become the best of the bunch. I could be wrong, but this isn't a year I'd want to draft a QB top 10 because they all feel like a reach.

Bingo

I'd rather take a chance a mid round qb or a 1 year FA and if it does not work, on to 2026 draft.

Maybe by the time PIT has another shot to end their Philly losing streak, we'll be closing in on .500 overall vs. DAL.

That would be no less than 8 years from now … likely longer.

I mean...no. If our defense can't handle the Cowboys without Lamb and Prescott, then we have issues.

Of course but if we only put up 13pts then two big plays makes it a cliffhanger and those can be kick returns as well as normal plays.

I remember it well. Think we won 1 out of 20 or something at one point.

Eleven losses in a row, then 2 wins, then nine more losses in a row. 2-21

Need to keep Turpin out of the game as a KR.  He’s a WR3 or WR4 caliber on offense, but an All Pro level KR.  We’ll see if the wind allows for kickoffs deep into or out the back of the end zone, because that should be the strategy.

No Nakobe Dean too.

Damn, didn't think Dean would be out. Guess Burks gets the start.

Also, can we just admit it's a numbers game with Covey? I'd rather see him dress than A. Smith though.

Finally, I'd like to see them activate Huff and get him some reps.

Abdomen can sometimes mean sports hernia, though hope it’s just a strain and they’re keeping him healthy for playoffs

It’s been said before; I have a hard time seeing DAL scoring more than 17 points without Lamb.  They really did force-feed him the ball in that offense.  The Eagles should be able to limit the passing game as long as they don’t leave Jake Ferguson open all day.  They’ve been running the ball better, but Dowdle should be controllable.

Make DAL show they can stand up against the run game.  If they’re using 8+ at the LOS to do it, attack them with the short passes and the occasional shot over the top to Brown and Smth.  Keep their defense out there until they get tired out and lose interest.

Upsetting a division rival is fun, but get up 2+ scores and they’ll have one foot on the plane back home.

No one knows what’s going on with Covey. It’s bizarre.

Frankly i wouldn’t be surprised if the giants take sanders. Like you i see Mara taking ward but i could see a scenario where they go sanders. I’m guessing Deion wants him in NY or Vegas. I think a sleeper team in this, is San Francisco, who is currently sitting at 11 (might finish 10th). might not pay Brock Purdy and they might just say we have a roster good enough where we can jump up to go and get Sanders. I think lynch is that type of GM that would take that shot and risk. He did it with a less proven Trey Lance

Listening to SF sports radio, two things are pretty clear to me.  (1) the 49ers roster isn’t good enough … especially in the trenches. (2) they will devote this draft to addressing that deficiency.  Both Lynch and Shanahan are too smart to put a rookie QB behind a sieve of an O-Line. They will ride through 2025 on the last year of Purdy’s current contract, and address QB at the end of the 2025 season.

I thought Oren Burks looked slow in relief when he played. We'll see how he looks in real-action. The only other true off-ball LB on the roster is Trotter Jr. We opened the season with 6 ILBs, but we cut White and BVS is on IR.

I don’t think the niners are going to just let that situation just play out with purdy. Frankly i see them either giving him a new deal or trading him to acquire more draft capital then signing a veteran. they can always get Rodgers in trade/FA (likely the jets cut (woody Johnson would love too and saves 28 mil) or trade) for a year then maneuver to have their franchise Qb for when he’s done in a year (maybe 2).

Frankly their biggest issue for last 3-4 years has been oline outside of Williams and they’ve yet to fix it. They’ve always been less than stellar along the oline besides Williams. I’d add fixing the interior of the Oline is unlikely going to be with a top 10 pick. They could still give up first rounders for sanders/ward and still draft guys rounds 2-7, sign a guy in FA and fix their oline to be better

more important to the niners is their Qb position long term. If you don’t want to pay purdy then you are unlikely to trade for darnold once he’s franchised and have to give up picks and pay him. The niners might not be picking this close to the top for a couple years where they’d be in striking distance of a qb they could absolutely love.

Barrett will officially clear waivers soon and then we’ll see where he signs

Allen has a ridiculous weapon attached to his shoulder that neither Jackson nor Newton have/had.   His arm is ridiculous.  So, if he learned how to QB more efficiently, he could maintain a level of excellence longer than those two.  Newton's leg AND shoulder went at the same time.   We'll see what happens with Allen and Jackson.

Jackson has one of the more underrated arms in the league.  He can wrist the ball 40+ yards with little to no effort (the way Mike Vick would).

I think lack of true deep threats has limited in what we see in Jackson’s arm but it’s up there as well, imo.

Any insider info on whether or not he has a chance of coming here?

Trading him and signing Rodgers for a year  is a possibility, but they have a team that has a culture worse than the Eagles had  11-12 months ago.  Adding Rodgers into that mix would be highly toxic.

With that said, what would Purdy bring in a trade?  Not much in my opinion.  His deficiencies have been exposed.  And as such he is more valuable to the 49ers than to any other team … largely because of his rookie contract.

His sister said he planned to join the Eagles when he unretired, but that was several weeks ago. We shall see if anything changed, not sure if there is a roster spot, maybe there is if they ditch z Charles Harris

Jackson has a great arm, no doubt.   Allen, on the other hand, might have a top 5 arm all-time.

Frankly, with how many guys of 49ers are paying, I think they would prefer to have a rookie contract and hope to hit then having to pay Sam Darnold, Aaron Rodgers or Brock Purdy. all three of those guys might be overpaid and not worth their value next year and going in the future.

Purdy is on a rookie contract.
