I know some have brought up the fact that if Saquon breaks the rushing record that he had 17 games compared to Dickerson and 16 games.

But Dickerson also had 379 attempts that year to get the record.  Saquon is at 314.  There is no way they are giving him 65 attempts the next 2 games so if he does break the record it will be less attempts.

So if it costs 2025 1st, 2026 1st, 2027 2nd and 2025 3rd (guessing Purdy is involved in this as he goes somewhere where someone takes a chance with conditions to improve the pick) they can get their Qb and still draft a OL in 2nd and 4th this year and sign one in FA. That right there improves your oline and you get your QB for the future. Again you keep making it out like guys they lost to IR along the oline aren’t coming back or they can’t make improvements just cause they trade to get a QB. Again they can do BOTH

Niners at 10 is 1300 and pick 3 is 2200 according to chart on draftek. A 1st and 3rd this year takes them to 1520. I’m guessing they send a 1st in 2026 and 1st or 2nd in 2027 gets that done. They still have picks left to go get oline done. They’d still have picks the next couple years and also can trade Purdy to another team with conditions to help put towards it  

According to spotrac they have 66 mil in cap for 2025 so plenty to fix the oline 

again they won’t have first round picks but they’d still have enough capital to fix oline with other picks and cap space.

Puni was drafted last year and is ranked 6th best guard by pff. Williams will be back next year at LT.  they have 2-3 other OLinemen on IR. So with drafting a kid in second rounder and signing someone in FA they could be good again at OL in 2025. They don’t need to replace all 5 guys next year. 

do I think the Niners are gonna get high enough to pick that quarterback? I don’t but the initial topic was I think they are a sleeper to do it because they’ve shown you in the past if they love a quarterback they’re not afraid to give up that ammo and go get them. They gave up ammo for Jimmy and then Trey Lance. Ignoring that they might be a sleeper to move up is just ignoring what they’ve shown in the past.

i’ll put another sleeper thing in here, Jalen hurts has missed a week or more late in the season three out of the last four years. We’ve seen in the past with Carson Wentz that even if they paid him, they would take a quarterback in the second round. largely due to the fact, Carson did not stay healthy towards the end of the year and missed time. If Pickett goes out this weekend and stinks, you’re gonna tell me it’s out of the realm of possibility that the Eagles are a sleeper team in taking a quarterback in the 2nd/3rd round this year? I think it’s very unlikely but to say they’re completely out of it would be going against what they’ve already shown and how they value that position.

Here's a crazy idea... stop using the QB as a fundamental piece of the running game and your QB won't take as many hits, leading to a lower probability of a concussion.

Here’s another one. Gut your running game by taking a major threat out of play.

Alright Michael Clay, you know what to do with Tanner McKee. With as tight as jerseys are, they could easily bunch up his #16 to look like #10 and fool everyone to be Brayden Mann for one play. The new Philly Special will be electric!

OJ had 332 carries in 14 games when he went for 2003 yards. Saquon has already NOT caught him.

Hey everyone, starting in the playoffs, there's going to be a general Gameday thread for the non-Eagles games so that we won't clog up the blog with game day posts. Having huge threads in the database can slow things down for the whole board. So segregating game day posts into their own thread can help with that. Plus, it'll give the search engines something else to index for more search engine hits. 

@Go Birds52 will start the thread in TATE like our Eagles GDT's, but once the games are completed, it'll be moved back into ATNFL. Next season, we'll do the same thing with a general, non-Eagles gameday thread. Hopefully it'll help keep the Blog a little smaller and the board running smoother. 

For the last two games before the playoffs, we can just keep going the way we've been going. But once that new general GDT is available, post all of the non-Eagles gameday stuff in there. It'll be pinned like the Eagles GDT's are, so it won't be hard to find.

Pickett could surprise a lot of people.   Having a full week of practice and a gameplan that focuses on his skillset should make him look a lot better, imo

Any GM looking to move up for Sanders or Ward should be fired before the draft just thinking about it
