Steelers have no backup QB behind Rodgers, who is injury prone. If we traded a 7th for Dalton, Hurts is worth at least a 4th to them.

Dejean gets moved safety permanently

I think that would take away from the many ways Cooper positively affects the defense, let that guy continue to move around and make plays. He'll make plays just at S, but I think he has the range and instincts to make a bigger impact by moving around.

I am not sure what I am missing here, I went ahead and looked up the book to try and help me...

Key details

  • Author: Jalen Hurts

  • Illustrator: Nneka Myers

  • Release Date: March 10, 2026

  • Publisher: Flamingo Books (an imprint of Penguin Random House)

  • Age Range: Preschool - Grade 3 (Ages 4-8)

  • Genre: Children's Picture Book

  • Themes: Friendship, teamwork, community, perseverance, achieving goals

My only conclusion is that Q should send an electronic copy of this book to all (maybe not all) on the EMB. We can focus on the things highlighted in Themes and lose some of the passive aggressive sniping among the members/posters that seem to be driven by the opinions of the author's production and capabilities (or lack there of) on the field. Maybe if the PHI playbook was written in the form of a childrens book (his book) he can learn to cycle through progressions and defensive sets quicker, thus producing greater results. I don't know, just thinking out loud. 🤣

OK guys...this entire response is fully in jest and not meant to start a crap with you all. That said...fire away, I prob deserve some vitriol and I think I know where it will come from. LOL, you guys have been fun to follow the last two to three weeks though, especially the Vrable/Russini content, some of you should be writing jokes for late night TV. Again, all in jest, Hurts obviously can play ball as all the awards and a SB trophy show throughout his career thus far, some days are better than others and every player has warts, QBs warts are just more visible, it takes an entire team to win it all...and a QB not named Dakota 😂. It's a message board, don't get all bent out of shape, have fun with it.

I am sorry, wasn’t meant that way. We all know Jerruh’s personality and this is a guy he really needs to extend. Given Pickens not immediately signing the tender (smart move on his part), you know Jerruh has to be triggered by this a bit.

I can appreciate a receiver wanting the ball more, especially elite players who want to be viewed as the best at his position. That means targets and production. I can even understand that after a win. I’m sure it’s annoying to run a bunch of wind sprints and come away with the ball thrown your direction 5 times.

What always got me though was not long after winning the Super Bowl he was like, "That was cool, I guess, but what I really love is beating the man across from me.” Even if you think that, don’t put that out there. You won the damn Super Bowl.

That was a red flag, as was the supremely awkward sideline interaction between he and Hurts as the time was ticking off the clock of SB LIX.

I should have trusted my gut there, which was telling me that AJ Brown was mad that he wasn't the big star and he'd have rather had a TO-esque performance in a loss

@RememberTheKoy I found a copy of the book. Apparently Hurts insisted to the editor he only use the parts of the page he was comfortable with.

Dude don't apologize...I enjoy the banter. Yeh, I didn't think about that aspect, would be funny if Q did it on purpose honestly. Cowboys playing hokey pokey with GP is frustrating, that said I don't care if they actually sign him long term or trade him, as long as they get at least what they gave up for him, they really should be able to get a great return but, well, Jerruh...enough said. GP for Jordyn Brooks? That is my wish but I know that wouldn't happen. Paying two receivers top 5 position money is not a smart strategy imo.

If they signed MVS, both Pickens AND Lamb are expendable

Will you cry if Brown has 1k+ yards on his new team?

It's not about his production as much as I hope he bulldozes Drake Maye (he probably will) and ruins their culture with his selfish nonsense.

What would annoy me more than anything is if he comes back and magically learns how to play hard again and doesn't dog every other route.

How do you figure? Dalton has more than twice as many passing yards (39,793 vs 17,891)

TBH, I'd be surprised if we get anything for Hurts.

You delusional people that continue to obsess about trading Hurts somehow don't comprehend how he a) has a no trade clause and b) will be the QB here at least until his mid 30s.

Do you think Hurts could want out of Philly if he is scapegoated for the offense if it does not perform as expected?

Scapegoated?

Only on this board, do you hear about a 4th rounder or less for Hurts.idiot-loser.gif

I'm just engaging with trolls, but at least 15 teams would pay 2 first rounders and more for Hurts.

I don't think he cares at all what any of the losers who blame him for everything think about him. The only thing he cares about his win ing and his legacy so I don't see why he would want to leave this organization.

But hey, keep going on with your pathetic fantasies about him being traded because those fantasies are the only thing you are going to have.

Exactly, you hater.

Does that include or exclude CFL?

I watched them play, that's my basis. Klare worked in-line at Purdue/Ohio State and is pretty good at hitting targets on the move at the 2nd level or outside and carries enough weight to seal but isn't powerful like Kacmarek who was taken in the 3rd. Stowers is 10lb lighter and has no experience in-line, but that's a good thing?

Yeah, I've watched them play too and Klare is garbage as a blocker. The idea that he is going to be anything but a liability as an in-line blocker is crazy to me. Stowers is 7 pounds lighter, is far more athletic, far more productive, with far more upside compared to Klare. So, yeah, I'd say that's a good thing.

Easily. I'm not even hurts' biggest fan but his value around the league solely for playing well in 2 super bowls (hell even going to 2 super bowls) is high as hell. We would be getting at least 2 firsts because some team will think their system would be best for him and "he just wins"

58 minutes ago, NCiggles said:

I don't think there's a scenario where they enter the season with Brown. A disgruntled player isn't a key piece to a championship run. The League is just different at this point. My point about first round picks is that Howie likely values a 2028 1st round pick as much as a 2027 pick. If the choice was a first and 3rd in 2027 vs. a 1st in 2028 and 2nd in 2027, he is going to take the latter.

Well that's more based on teams willing to give Howie what he wants, but say hypothetically no teams were interested in trading for him. They obviously wouldn't cut him. This isn't a "Can't bring him back" situation. It's just what that price they're willing to part with him is. I do believe/hope that Howie has been consistent with his demands. He should be, they are going to be markedly weaker at that position next season if he's not here. And frankly it impacts Hurts more than anyone because he's shown he's a QB who is not very good when the talent around him isn't elite. This could be a more that is partially responsible for Hurts not being back in 2027 if it goes that way.

Neat get them on speed dial before this season proves he a major part of the issues here.

Please ignore my fantasies. I agree all he cares about is winning. Hurts does not care what anyone on the blog thinks of him. The article that came out about him wasn't sourced from TATErs. It was from players and coaches with the Eagles and maybe some FO members. He cannot ignore those complaints because it impacts his play and opportunity to play. What if he was unfairly blamed for the team struggling next season and his benched for the last 3 to 4 games? Let's say the front office wants to keep Sirianni and Mannion. Do you think he would want to return for a 2027 season without having a starting role? Or get traded to a team thave values him and has control over where he lands? I am not saying this is likely I do think this is a possibility.

I think Hurts has the skill set succeed in the Mannion offense. I want him to go out and throw for 50tds and 5,000 yards. It's also possible the Eagles could want to move on from him if he is perceived as a problem.

I expect Hurts to have his best passing year yet, with a very talented group of receivers and anyone not named Kevin Patullo directing the offense. Will be night and day from last year, with AJ Brown dogging it, giving half effort on run plays and pass plays. Looking forward to it.

So with a new system, Devonta, no AJ, a rookie slot, 31 year old Goedert, rookie TE, and patchwork OL....you expect something that eclipses 2022?

I think the patchwork Oline will be the biggest factor. A lot of the success hinders on Cam and Landon actually being healthy and staying healthy. Fred was serviceable
