I think the patchwork Oline will be the biggest factor. A lot of the success hinders on Cam and Landon actually being healthy and staying healthy. Fred was serviceable

I do not expect stem cell therapy to fix Landon’s issues, especially after reading Stoutlands comments regarding his toughness and what it takes for him to even get on the field. His body was iffy coming out of college and it’s breaking down more by the year. He also doesn’t strike me as a guy that puts a Jordan Davis type effort into maintaining his physical health. He shotguns beers in training camp for funsies.

I’ve never been the biggest Hurts fan but the disrespect he gets in the blog is a bit ignorant and honestly very retarded at times.

If he retired right now he’d go down as the greatest QB in franchise history.

Also F you @hputenis ill taint kick you

So with a new system, Devonta, no AJ, a rookie slot, 31 year old Goedert, rookie TE, and patchwork OL....you expect something that eclipses 2022?

Sure do. Like the YAC potential with this new offense. Eating up lot of yards and not waiting for AJ's bombs to sputter on 3 and outs. Hollywood will help and catch a few bombs. Devanta's yards will increase as well and will be a more efficient number 1. Upgrade at slot from Dotson to Lemon and Wicks. Getting more out of tight end with no snaps for GC, hopefully. This is a very good group that has depth, versatility and good work ethic. May take a half a season to show its true potential.

I expect Hurts to have his best passing year yet, with a very talented group of receivers and anyone not named Kevin Patullo directing the offense. Will be night and day from last year, with AJ Brown dogging it, giving half effort on run plays and pass plays. Looking forward to it.

Naw. I think the focus should be getting whatever we can out of Barkley and the run game then go from there. I’m assuming our base offense will be 12 personnel consisting mostly of 2 rookies.

Cross our fingers the OL holds up because I’m not confident at all it’ll be better than last season.

I tend to agree with you, but the fact that we changed the offense and will probably throw 30-50% more passes will probably help.

Please ignore my fantasies. I agree all he cares about is winning. Hurts does not care what anyone on the blog thinks of him. The article that came out about him wasn't sourced from TATErs. It was from players and coaches with the Eagles and maybe some FO members. He cannot ignore those complaints because it impacts his play and opportunity to play. What if he was unfairly blamed for the team struggling next season and his benched for the last 3 to 4 games? Let's say the front office wants to keep Sirianni and Mannion. Do you think he would want to return for a 2027 season without having a starting role? Or get traded to a team thave values him and has control over where he lands? I am not saying this is likely I do think this is a possibility.

I think Hurts has the skill set succeed in the Mannion offense. I want him to go out and throw for 50tds and 5,000 yards. It's also possible the Eagles could want to move on from him if he is perceived as a problem.

Your pathetic fantasies aren't going to play out. Jalen Hurts won't be benched because he will again have this team in the playoffs. He will be signed to a new contract next off-season as well.

Nah. This offense will be using the short passing game and YAC to replace much of the running plays we saw last year with Barkley running into a wall of people on 1st & 2nd downs. Expect much more variety. This offensive line's strength is in pass protection. They will set up the run with pass. Different formula going forward. They should he solid on that front, if even one of Jurgens or Dickerson is back to full stength. Don't see a stray jacket on Hurts this year.

Curious if he'll still not want to run and if the coaches tell him to anyway

You could say Hurts wrote the book on football

I don't know how much this guy had responsibility in scouting talent but will there be anybody left in the FO? They had a lot of defections last year.

🤣 It is, but it's funny, just like your gif...good one!

This offseason on the EMB vs an opening weekend win in September on the EMB:

a group of people are standing in a parking lot in front of a hooters restaurant

VS

a group of south park characters standing in front of a sign that says gumbaya my lord gumbaya

Differing opinions on a sports forum are always fun.

Well that's more based on teams willing to give Howie what he wants, but say hypothetically no teams were interested in trading for him. They obviously wouldn't cut him. This isn't a "Can't bring him back" situation. It's just what that price they're willing to part with him is. I do believe/hope that Howie has been consistent with his demands. He should be, they are going to be markedly weaker at that position next season if he's not here. And frankly it impacts Hurts more than anyone because he's shown he's a QB who is not very good when the talent around him isn't elite. This could be a more that is partially responsible for Hurts not being back in 2027 if it goes that way.

I think AJ knows the leverage the Eagles have and doesn't want to sabotage a deal.

OK - that would be great. As per my prior post, I would be happiest if he has his best season ever next year. Regardless of what I think and want, I also think there's a possiblity the team is entering next offseason looking to possible trade Hurts.

I think it’ll help with volume. I’d expect his stats to be more 2023…less 2022 and less 2024-5.

I don't see how Howie has any leverage here. Very few bidders here besides Pats. The whole league knows he wants out and isn't coming back. And...wants a mega contract. Besides injury concerns, age, a terrible last year, being a malcontent, and wanting a huge contract... sure, Howie has a ton of leverage. Be happy with the 2028 1st rounder and run real fast Howie.

Really, all any of us are doing until we see how next year's season plays out with all the changes is inconveniencing pixels. I hope we see a competent offense unlike 2025-26. The defense was good enough last year but they needed some help and didn't really get it.

The deal is already done. We just don't know about it yet

Nothing in this post is true. The contract thing you've stated several times and you just flat out made it up. Nowhere has it been reported he wants a new contract. He didn't have a "terrible" year, he had a down year, there is a difference. The team that has the coveted entity will always have the leverage.
