The Eagles will probably have to throw Hurts in the deal to get anything of value.

Tanner Brady is more valuable...

I'm going with HOU. Stroud was beyond awful in the playoffs, that team is stacked and just needs competent QB play. And Jalen is from HOU.

Yea, that was one the hardest one's besides a team like Titans and Raiders who may or may not want to move off the #1 overall pick so soon. I think I could see either way for Texans.

He's slow as heck now. I hope they don't want him to run much. It's painful watching him trying to beat anyone to the edge.

I don't see how Howie has any leverage here. Very few bidders here besides Pats. The whole league knows he wants out and isn't coming back. And...wants a mega contract. Besides injury concerns, age, a terrible last year, being a malcontent, and wanting a huge contract... sure, Howie has a ton of leverage. Be happy with the 2028 1st rounder and run real fast Howie.

I think the deal is agreed, with a "neither one of us is backing out on this, right, because we need to know before the draft" handshake and wink. Yes, technically one side or the other could back out, but that is the path to never getting another handshake deal as long as you are GM, with whispers behind your back for the remainder of your front office career. Nobody will back out.

Probably could get multiple 1s because the Texans would assume that they'd have a decent floor barring injury (as would I) - and from the Eagles perspective we get him out of the conference.

Just need to see Stroud continue to struggle, and then see how go-go-gadget neck does.

I hope they blackmailed the ish out of the pats over the russini tampering crap

What are the chances they had a gentlemens agreement to trade after June 1st but include this year's picks?

I asked that question before the draft.

Now, can anyone see the Pats potentially selecting Lomu for the Eagles and sending him here once the trade is announced?

I also remember the Pats drafted Jacas which I thought for sure would be an Eagles target.

We still have a need for both of those guys.

They kind of fit closely with the Patriots needs as well🤷‍♂️

AJ+Bell for Lomu+Jacas🙃

I think you are overthinking it a bit.

I don't know how much this guy had responsibility in scouting talent but will there be anybody left in the FO? They had a lot of defections last year.

Nah,Julian can take on his duties. Stephen Jones 2.0.

Round 2: this is where the wheels come off. You really have to believe in Stowers as a top pass catcher to draft a guy who can't block. Also have huge issues with drafting someone who doesn't have a chance of starting in this round. I liked Emmanuel McNeil-Warren here since he had dropped some. Cap is hard enough to not draft starting players in first two rounds

Stowers was drafted under the same basic circumstances as both Ertz and Goedert, all 2nd round picks as TE of the future. Ertz only played 41% of the offensive snaps in his rookie season and Goedert played only 48%. They both did special teams duty the first few years and Stowers will do the same. As it stands right now Stowers will very likely be the Eagles TE1 in 2027.

I am reporting you for not responding that this is your year.

Some DAL fans are just built different…nah that’s not right. Some of us just don’t wear blue colored lenses. They gotta show me something…a sustained something before I start believing anything remotely positive.

I'm way behind all of you in draft talk but if you will indulge me here is my take.

Like many of you I was very underwhelmed. Combination of reaching for some players, drafting for need (or wrong player for real need), and most importantly passing on value picks that gives me a bad feeling about or draft haul this year.

Round 1: I'm totally ok with Lemon pick. Hoping he will be a really good WR2 + real need once AJ is gone. Also probably Howie's top OTs were gone by pick 20. Guessing he didn't believe as much as others in Max Iheanachor or Caleb Lomu. Maybe drafting Dillon Thieneman would have made a ton of sense but drafting a top WR is ok.

Cap is hard enough to not draft starting players in first two rounds... even early third. Which leads me to....

Round 3: Too many question on Markel Bell. Most experts have him capping out as a swing tackle or he will have to move to G at that height, making it hard to move. I hope I'm and they are wrong. I would have picked A. J. Haulcy or Emmanuel Pregnon here. We needed OL help and Pregnon could be a starter this year. We will have injuries on the OL so getting starter potential vs a project makes a lot more sense to me.

Finally totally ok with trading pick 98 to get Greenard. But hate that we have used three 3rd picks over last 12 months to cover for Josh Sweat... who singed for less money than Philips and Greenard.

Later rounds I'm not going to waste anyone's time with... they are all crapshoots and just hope we picked well... but doesn't seem we got value... rather picked based on our own board. And too bad we didn't have 4th... lots of value in that round this year.

If Stowers can’t block, how do you feel about E M-W’s missed tackles?

Nothing in this post is true. The contract thing you've stated several times and you just flat out made it up. Nowhere has it been reported he wants a new contract. He didn't have a "terrible" year, he had a down year, there is a difference. The team that has the coveted entity will always have the leverage.

Just how coveted is he? That's the question.

Eagles need to sign some veteran IOL depth I think. Can't go into the season with it the way it is.

Hollywood Brown. His contract isn't crazy but it's $5M fully guaranteed. It's mostly all signing bonus also so it wouldn't even make much sense to trade him.

I thought you said not including Brown. I agree his contract tells me he is likely to be on the roster.
