Ok, but in reality he was playing outside CB in "base” because CB2 sucked and they wanted their best players on the field. Now that they seemingly upgraded their outside CB and don’t need Cooper there anymore, it’s likely going to be S where he lines up in the 5 or so plays a game.

The "what is base” is just semantics.

I think it’s just called base because that’s what it’s been called for a long while. In reality, nickel is the new base… (if by ‘base’, one is referring the what is being played most of the time)

Ok so on plays there isn’t a NCB where he’s playing?

base is semantics, and any defense where cooper moves out of the slot is stupid so lets not line up that way at all.

LOL, there is no slot corner in base.

Actually looks like the coolest guy in the league.

LOL base is not what you think it is. and

LOL we pretty much never play the version of base you are thinking of.

LOL.

I would be shocked if they don't do this on the 10-15% of the time they are in base. Coop should never leave the field, and I would prefer to have him at S and Riq at CB2 in base, than Coop at CB2 and Epps at S.

You were doing so good for a while and I actually thought you were trying to be a serious poster again. It was fun while it lasted.

It’s called base because it’s just a standard 4-3 /3-4.

It’s common knowledge Eagles don’t play in base much but it doesn’t make sense to change the meaning of the word just because of that.

He's back to trolling. I guess he started to get bored since the conversation hasn't been about Hurts.

We've reached new levels of Jalen Hurts hate.

In the most simple terms, yes. Yes. And yes.

Said back during the season he was a lock to be traded.

A non AJ "Brown" trade!

Clearly done to free up cap space for an AJ brown trade.

Howie creating more cap space. That's why I never worry about who we want to sign later on and such. The core assessment can change from year to year.  It's a good problem to have. He needs to field the best team he can THIS YEAR. Don't do what he did last year with leaving the team to too many unknown guys all at one time on a Superbowl contender in way too many positions.

It’s not creating cap space when you have to fill a hole you just made. Unless you can get a better replacement for less than 1.5 million.

learn ball.

Dan Villari had a great pro day workout. It translates. How often do you see the TE as the wildcat? And he has moves.

Former Michigan QB, makes sense to jump start his transition to TE.

he already transitioned. He played TE for syracuse and blew up his pro day yesterday. I posted it in here. I think he was 6'4'' and ran in the 4.4s with some other good numbers too.

Said with the eagles having some other QB to TE converts already, this could be a guy to watch.

Let’s say we made almost the exact same trade to move out Kelee Ringo. How would folks feel about that?

Is Ringo still here? Need to get rid of him too just like they got rid of Sydney Brown!
