This draft blows. The 10th pick in this draft is like the 20th most years. I think the Bengals actually win this trade getting a proven pro-bowler.

We’ll see what contract he signs. The draft may blow but you get 5 years at reasonable cost. Bengals are going to commit to a soon to be 29 year old over $30M a year.

A lot of my dislike of the trade ties in to how they handled Hendrickson and how they are probably going to waste any good years they get with Lawrence. I don’t think they are any better than they were last year, a fringe playoff team.

That's because our o-line has been so good from left to right and while Dex was good, it wasn't a loaded d-line. We always seemed to handle the leagues best with our o-line play. But after last year, there's more questions than answers and the HOF RT is hanging them up at any moment.

I get that but I feel like he’s being treated like a prime Warren Sapp or Haloti Ngata. Let’s pump the brakes. Just seems like an odd move for the Bengals to make.

Lawrence is a good player but I never feared him at any point. I was never like oh man the Giants have Lawrence it’s really gonna make a difference in the outcome of the game

It's a great trade for the Giants. They trade a guy that didn't want to be there and it opnes up a lot of cap space. Lawrence has maybe two good years left then he will descend. Giants could be building a heck of a defense if they make their picks defensive plays. They need to get the OL straightened out.

Theyd be smart to go OL or defense. But, the reports seem to say theyre taking Tyson.

I guess stepping back and looking at it.. I think the bengals think both the Steelers and Ravens have new coaches and were middle of the road. The Steelers don’t even have a qb currently I would say, and the browns are the browns.. this move could win them the division with a decent draft. You get into the playoffs you have a chance.

Are there any high end return specialists in this draft? Feels like we've been looking for one for while now.

A bird in the hand and this draft absolutely blows. I couldn't agree more with your second point that the overall approach and decision making of that franchise has been terrible, but that was it's own move, as is this.

There are a bunch in this draft. Some of the higher tier WRs have return experience. Branch and Concepcion I know...

Barion Brown from LSU.

Demond Claiborne, Eli Heidenreich

Some of my WR sleepers, Hank Beatty, Josh Cameron, Zavion Thomas...

In the world of $50M new deals for defensive players that is cheap.

Ok now I might have to change my opinion now. Why give up that pick for him and only give him a one year extension. That makes zero sense.

In a vacuum it’s a worthwhile trade for the Giants, but the third big time player in their 20s Schoen has discarded in 3 seasons over contract stuff. Should probably try to keep those guys around…

Lawrence has pushed around Jurgens a bit and not just last year.

I mean, he is one of the best DT's in the league that's not surprising to win some of the battles.

Starting to REALLY like Concepcion at 23 if he is there.

Barf

People talk about the 2026 draft like it’s soooo much worse than the 2025 one. I’m not seeing that at all.

Why?

No.

Whatever surgery he had on his knee/leg is making it look like a dope.

Sure it does. They have him for three years now. The extension is for one year, on top of the two years for which he’s already under contract.

I read it’s basically 3-$70M. That’s pretty nice for Cincinnati.
