Any chance we can see an NBA style trade where the patriots make picks on draft day that end up included in the AJ trade on June 1st?

Is that allowed?

I dont know. I dont imagine it will be announced as such on draft night like they do in the NBA. But everyone says its a done deal. So, whos to day they havent already agreed that certain picks are the eagles? Whats to stop them from trading those players in June?

Depends on the price. Universally, every reporter said prices this year to move up are much cheaper, I don't think it would even cost a 2nd to get to the 15th pick.

Are there 15 players worth a top 15 pick this year?

Even the guys projected to go in the top 5 are uninspiring. Reese is a great athlete, was productive, but even with him you’re projecting a change in position/role. Love is a great prospect, but if I’m taking a back in the top 5 I want someone truly special. Love is no Barkley as a prospect.

I just don’t see a player I’d be really excited about moving into the top 15 to get. Maybe if Downs were to fall out of the top 10 he’d be worth it.

I see what you mean, NE would be taking a risk - but if Howie reneged it would be a stain to his reputation worse than that BAL Max Crosby business.

Respectfully but strongly disagree.

I feel bad for some of the dudes on this board if they think she is hot. I mean, what have they been living on their while life, 4's and 5's? She is a 7 AT BEST and that is probably a bit generous.. I could walk around a moderately populated area on a random Saturday and see several chics who are way hotter. Then again, I shouldn't be surprised with who started this entire thing up since homie acts like a dude who hasn't had **** since **** had him and thinks that that average insufferable garden tool Russini is hot crap.

The Colts traded the draft rights to Elway. The Chargers traded the draft rights to Eli so it’s possible to draft and trade a player.

I’d be OK with Iheanachor. It’s not ideal, but at least with him you can envision a world where he’s a pro bowl tackle by year 3 or 4. Figure he’s on the bench year 1, flashes as a starter year 2 but has moments where he shows he needs continued improvement, then in year 3 he’s more consistent.

It would be a risky boom or bust type of pick, but once you’re in the 20’s your not going to get a high floor high ceiling tackle in any draft class, and I’d rather roll the dice on a potential difference maker than some mediocre prospect with a higher chance of not being a total flop.

Sadly we might not be able to do much better in this draft. Most years Iheanachor is a 2nd round pick though. Different players and different situations but I don't see a big difference between him and Lomu. Both have real flaws (experience and technique for Iheanachor, play strength for Lomu) but both could be really good with some time and coaching. I could somewhat, and I mean somewhat stomach either of them but if they FN draft Blake Miller I might not watch the rest of the draft for the first time in my life. That would be the safest, most boring, most low upside pick I can think of. While I think Fran Duffy is on overrated clown who obviously loves the smell of his own farts, he isn't terribly far off by having Blake Miller as his 15th best OL prospect in the draft. I would WAY rather have guys like Bisontis, Pregnon, and Dunker despite the fact that they are guards.

I would honestly prefer the Patriots 2nd round pick in 2027 to the 31st pick this week. The more research I do the more I realize just how bad this draft is.

The big difference I see between Max and Lomu besides strength is arm length. Those arms are a real question mark and combined with the lack of play strength it might be disqualifying for him as a tackle… and if you’re looking at a developmental prospect in the first round they sure as hell better be able to play a premium position if they develop as hoped. Give me the guy with all of the physical tools needed to be a dominant player who just needs reps and coaching.

I’m 100% with you on Miller. I wouldn’t even take him in the second round. There’s just no world where I see him becoming an impact starter. At best I think he’s a mediocre starter who you’d end up wanting to replace anyway.

It's Facebook. Grain of salt. Interesting idea though.

This video is worth the watch all the way through.

They go in to the track record of 24 year old WR draft picks, which is actually very good.

They actually make the case that Denzel Boston does separate.

They like Trey Lance

One of them kept liking Fields more as he watched more of him.

Interesting discussion on Tyson and the piper way to use him, referring back to Amari Cooper/Michael Crabtree roles.

Lots more...

No, Shefter said a few years ago teams are not allowed to draft players for other teams. I can’t recall the reason it came up

Half naked Grown men girl-slapping each other on live tv while they pretend they’re doing it because they’re throwing a hissy fit is less woke?

Less than a week removed, this is what I'm feeling round 1:

35% Trade up for Freeling or Proctor

25% Stand pat and take Iheanachor

15% Stand pat and take another position/player

15% Trade up for another position

10% Trade down

Seeing the comments around the lack of top end talent in the draft, its made me think more deeply about the team trading down. With next year seemingly being a transition year on O, it does make me wonder if they move to the lower end of round 1 or early round 2. Now I've said it, they'll trade into the top 10, but it wasn't on my radar till this weekend,.
