Like, just imagine having Trey Hendrickson and not trading him last year because he wanted a new deal just to trade a top 10 pick for a slightly younger NT who wants a new deal the following year. What are we even doing?

I saw a tweet that made out a good case. He has had these high pressure rates despite going against Eagles and Cowboys offensive lines. Now he is going against Baltimore who lost their center, Steelers with a 42/43 year old QB and whichever 5 guys the Browns will throw out there throughout next season.

Yup, this draft is kind of stinky. That's why you see the Giants/Bengals trade go down.

Giants need to get some OLinemen. And now a DT/DE. Youth movement for them?

Straight up. Jesus Christ

It says on OTC a new contract is in progress. I thought to myself "they didn’t seriously give up the #10 overall pick for a guy who wants a new contract without agreeing to an extension, did they??”

Only the Bengals could do that. Maybe Dallas.

Bengals are enigmatic but I like the trade. I think they got a far superior player to what they could have selected in the draft.

Analytics people really love Lawrence. Think he impacts the game as much as Parsons almost.

Whether or not that means he’s worth the 10th pick, who knows. Not sure what leverage the giants had

In a vacuum, I still think it’s an overpay. But I just don’t get whatever long term strategy they think they have. He might be, and probably is, better than who they take at #10 but he doesn’t make the team that much better. They aren’t in a win now mode and Burrow is still going to get flattened.

Lucky to have Howie.

This draft may be worse than we think and teams don't value the picks.

This draft stinks. Trade down or trade out. Move assets into the future.

At first glance, I felt like this was a pretty big overpay for the Bengals. A top 10 pick is crazy, but this isn’t a normal year for a top 10 pick. It’s like pick 15, which is still a lot, but Dallas did just trade a 1 and 2 for Quinnen Williams. Lawrence is better.

Agree, 100%. Been saying this for a while now.

Either go waaaaayyy up the draft board and get a top 10 player. OR (I think this is more likely) get the heck out of the 1st round and get an extra 2027 and 2028 pick.

Did MetLife fix the turf yet? Not sure Tyson is a fit there otherwise. That’s a wrecked knee waiting to happen.

IMO Dex is still the best DT in the nfl. Hes a unicorn; a NT that is a dominant pass rusher. Cincinnati hit big here

Yup. I wanted James Hagens with that pick but at least had the sense not to bash Martone. He’s gone from an excellent junior player to excellent US College player to excellent start to his NHL career in less than 12 months. He’s a player.

nice
