Love the Lawrence trade for us. Nice not to have to deal with him 2x a year. Bye.

Martone-we got a real one. Vlader may just be hot enough... Flyers will wear this team down. Too fast and too physical. And played pretty damn smart. Got them to lose their cool a few times.

At first glance, I felt like this was a pretty big overpay for the Bengals. A top 10 pick is crazy, but this isn’t a normal year for a top 10 pick. It’s like pick 15, which is still a lot, but Dallas did just trade a 1 and 2 for Quinnen Williams. Lawrence is better.

Not that I disagree with anything you are saying but that sounds awfully like a lot of cope Bengal fans are trying to spin to say this was a good trade.

Cowboys trade was also dumb. Just because you slightly did better than them is a very low bar.

Lawrence is a good player but I never feared him at any point. I was never like oh man the Giants have Lawrence it’s really gonna make a difference in the outcome of the game

Flyers played a great game. What a save by Vladar at the end. And I'm pleased as punch not to face Lawrence 2x a season. Maybe never again.

Burrow: we traded for a stud tackle?!

GM: yes but...

Burrow: oh.

Roma blew past us, Seahawks, Bears, Cowboys are better and have two firsts, Giants will be better, Niners have our number. Howie continues to lose good players and we're unable to do much in the last two years of free agency. And we're about to lose one of the best receivers in franchise history to top it off

Seattle lost a bunch of players this offseason. Bears and cowboys aren’t better than the birds. Dallas still has no defense. The whiners gotta be the most injury prone team in the league. Giants still aren’t better than the birds. Rams? We’ll see, if the whiners have our number, we without a doubt have the Rams number

Nabers and Tyson will be nice.

But, they gave up arguably the best DT in the game to use a top 10 pick on a WR who is a #2 type of WR, and has major injury concerns.

Its a very poor use of a top 10 pick. Let them...

Like, just imagine having Trey Hendrickson and not trading him last year because he wanted a new deal just to trade a top 10 pick for a slightly younger NT who wants a new deal the following year. What are we even doing?

This draft blows. The 10th pick in this draft is like the 20th most years. I think the Bengals actually win this trade getting a proven pro-bowler.

Bengals are enigmatic but I like the trade. I think they got a far superior player to what they could have selected in the draft.

Bingo. Lawrence is a proven pro-bowler for a team who desperately needs to improve their defense. This draft blows, taking the sure thing was smart.

A couple interesting things out of that McShay video aside from the Jalen Carter stuff.

David Bailey cancelled top 30 visit, team sayd "We had everything we need" spent a lot of time with him at pro day. But, still unusual.

6 WRs that "could and probably will go in the 1st round."

Saying McCoy's knee stuff is not good. Degenerative.

Let's say the rumors are true and they draft Jordyn Tyson with the 10th pick. On an average draft year a player like him is the 4th or 5th WR off the board in the late teens to mid 20's. Dexter Lawrence is one of the best DT's in the league. I don't think it's a bad trade for the Giants but it's not the home run it looks like on the surface because of the lack of high end talent in this draft.

Plus Dart tends to get banged up quite a bit, and says he’s not going to change the way he plays.

As long as patullo was the problem this past season (I believe he was), then maybe the "they're not better than us" reasoning works. But if patullo was only part of the problem then it doesnt matter.

We lost to both Chicago and the niners (who fielded a 3rd string defense), as well as the giants. Better team doesnt matter of theyre coached like crap again

It would be funny if Andy got up to pick 3 or 4 like the Chiefs are reportedly trying to do, and snags Tyson on the giants.

Are there any high end return specialists in this draft? Feels like we've been looking for one for while now.

Kaden Wetjen, he had 3 PR and 1 KR touchdown this past season - built much more solidly than Covey and looked decent running routes at the Shrine, but he was used more as a gadget at Iowa with jet sweeps, etc. Normally, I’d say UFA given the role but in this year he might be drafted.

Nice. I could see is taking a late round stab at a guy like that. I know Jadarian Price is a high end returner but we've got bigger fish to fry that high up.

That's because our o-line has been so good from left to right and while Dex was good, it wasn't a loaded d-line. We always seemed to handle the leagues best with our o-line play. But after last year, there's more questions than answers and the HOF RT is hanging them up at any moment.

They'd really be doing the giants a favor even though they may not think it. If I'm the Giants, give me Styles and Downs. Two of the best players in the entire draft with very high ceilings from a stud college team.

I know they could build the o-line too but I don't think it's a great o-line draft especially that high. Francis I'd like at OG more. I guess they could do Francis for guard and Freeling for tackle which wouldn't be so bad. I just like the former as more overall talented players.

Yeah, there’s some throw-in value for Concepcion and Branch as PRs but Wetjen wouldn’t cost much and can do both. It seems more of an issue about what Howie wants at WR5 and if there’s room for a RS (outside of the practice squad).

Smitty-H.Brown-Wicks-Draftee-Cooper(?)

Trading Carter for a ransom in a stacked draft next year may not be such a bad idea.

Lawrence has pushed around Jurgens a bit and not just last year.

I don’t think this was a bad trade at all for the Bengals. They are getting a very good player at a premium position that fits a need. The reality is that the next best player for them in the draft would be Downs or Delane. Picking a Safety at pick 10 is an overpay. Lawrence also is better than either of those players. He’s a top 5 player at his position and is 28 years old. Unlike Parsons, he is playing at a position that ages well. It is easily a good trade for the Bengals. I am not saying the Giants were robbed but they won’t get a player at pick 10 that ends up being a top 5 player at a position.
