I still feel like Shipley can break out. But Id be ok with trading him if they want to replace him with a better returner cause thats where most of his playing time is anyway and hes not very good at that.

I read it’s basically 3-$70M. That’s pretty nice for Cincinnati.

Exactly the issue was he wasn't going to play the next 2 years under his current deal so they added a year and got all 3 at a good price that also made him happy.

Giants got a good pick in a bad draft but when you examine the impact he had on their team they will almost definitely be worse off without him for the next 2 years. Meaning his impact in 2026 and 2027 is probably more than the 10th pick

The lack of reporting anything guaranteed makes me guess he’s going to be mad a year from now again and Cincinnati isn’t a team that’s likely to handle that well

OK, KC! Just clean up the hands and he might be peak Emmanuel Sanders with blocking ability.

The "Easy to like" clip is funny unless he is wearing an eagles uniform. Then its taunting.

I don’t think this was a bad trade at all for the Bengals. They are getting a very good player at a premium position that fits a need. The reality is that the next best player for them in the draft would be Downs or Delane. Picking a Safety at pick 10 is an overpay. Lawrence also is better than either of those players. He’s a top 5 player at his position and is 28 years old. Unlike Parsons, he is playing at a position that ages well. It is easily a good trade for the Bengals. I am not saying the Giants were robbed but they won’t get a player at pick 10 that ends up being a top 5 player at a position.

I forget who but one of the reporters said they weren’t getting any other offers close to that. They could have done the trade and still got a pick back or something.

It’s bit frustrating that we draft guys like Gainwell and Shipley who were pretty good receiving running backs coming out of college and then don’t use them any differently than Barkley (get the ball at the mesh and if not the play is over for you).

Me too. I really liked that pick. He just needs, IMO, more opportunities to flash his skills. Kinda difficult to do when he's 3rd on the depth chart though.

Maybe the new Offensive Coaches will utilize him more within the new Offense.

I think that’s the biggest issue IMO. They couldn’t get a 4 back?

I like KC Conception, he has a bit of Greg Ward to him. Plus he can return punts. But he also looks like he might have some Reagor to him that has me concerned.

I think Ship got like one angle route last season.

Then again even when Swift was the lead back, we didn’t do much with his receiving ability - which was odd as Siri did a ton of RB targets at Indy.

Oh yeah nothing gets me more excited about a WR prospect than him reminding me of Greg Ward

I think this guy can become more popular but he desperately needs some production value. I find it hard to sit through videos that are just 2 faces talking on webcams with no graphics, no video clips, no nothing. And making it even worse, no timestamps at the bottom to skip around if you are bored. Some commented did Gods work and put time stamps in the comments. So take a look. Some players here who havent been talked about anywhere else.

Are you one of these two nerds?

Are there any high end return specialists in this draft? Feels like we've been looking for one for while now.

WR Zavion Thomas from LSU. There's also a thread for him in IWTETG with some video highlights.

I think everyone assumed so as the wording was "including the 10th pick” when it broke. Even if the draft lacks star talent it’s still a top 10 pick and they should have fought for something else.

At least the fan base didn’t clown themselves by doing something dumb like chant We Want Boston

I don't know if this is a trend but in the last few drafts Ive done and some mocks have McNeil Warren falling.

I can’t imagine a scenario where we go defense with the first two picks. Guessing the first pick is OT or WR unless an edge rusher slides. I’m not worried about the safety position.

You should. He was the her of 2019 as far as I'm concerned.

Once you remove your tongue from hp's area, you will see that defense wins championships and we have a few holes on that side. Am sure hp will join you in celebrating a few hidden treasures.

"A male, later identified as Zacharia[h] Branch, continued to stand on the sidewalk without making an attempt to move,” the report explains. "I continued to give Zacharia[h] Branch verbal commands to move from blocking the sidewalk and advised that if he did not, he would receive a citation for blocking the sidewalk. Zacharia[h] Branch smirked, then stepped backwards and to the right, then remained standing upon the public sidewalk, so as to obstruct, hinder, and impede free passage upon the sidewalk as well as impede free ingress/egress to or from the adjacent places of business. Due to those actions and Zacharia[h] Branch’s failure to comply with multiple verbal lawful commands, he was placed under arrest for misdemeanor Obstruction of [a law enforcement officer] and received a citation for Obstructing Public Sidewalks.”
