I’m getting a bit mind-Fed with this stat. I’ve always seen off target throws portrayed as a QB stat

So is this saying Concepcion had twice as many uncatchable balls per 100 throws sent to him as Cooper Jr did, and that he should have produced way better with a better QB?

Yep.

Same garbage analytics they used to prop up Reagor. Dont buy it at all

I know Jags have said they won't trade him, but when Schefter talks about trades, I have my radar on Brian Thomas Jr. Just screams Howie trade target.

I am perhaps losing my mind but I did a little figuring and a post June 1 trade for Myles Garrett is eminently doable.

I'd never criticize Howie again if he pulled off Garrett

Felt like aj being gone after June 1st has been the feeling for a while. Curious if it’s greenard as the trade they try making

I'd take Highsmith maybe even over Greenard. That should solidify edge.

Proctor is an intriguing pick. He would be drafted to be the eventual successor to Lane at RT but I think his true upside is at RG. At RT I think he’s a very good player. At RG I’m seeing perennial All-Pro.

I hope Howie throws a curve ball and deals AJ to the dolphins or jets which would piss off both AJ and Vrable

Is MIN the team with an interim GM who's not allowed to do anything but stick and pick?

Yea. That could complicate things

I can’t wait until all this AJ crap is over. Don’t even care if it’s the patriots and for less than a 1…I’m just tired of all of it

You want your team to get a worse deal in draft picks, a weaker roster and team, because you're tired of the media talking about it?

It sure looks that way! Is that you elbow deep prepping that balloon knot for an American Pie-like gobble gobble with your uncut turkey sawsidge?

I truly feel like the Eagles are gonna get a little extra in the trade just to avoid the huge tampering charges.

Pats tamper and try and cover up by not having the Times to post the pictures.

NFL - nothing to see here again

Getting Proctor at 23 would be fantastic. Still think they need to trade up to get him.

A nightmare? He has them getting good value and need with every pick.

Looks like a ton of bustability plus 3 OTs that can't play OT. Bad.

And if we don't?

With Bowry and Worlds also selected (ew!), I'm interpreting the Proctor selection as a G play (which is better). Even then he needs to get his weight down for OZ, and improve as a run blocker - I think his reputation as a mauler is overstated, unless he's down blocking he's weirdly kind of a seal blocker, plays high and isn't great hitting on the move.

I don’t think any team would trade for AJ unless they’re sure he’ll play and not act like a chronically dissatisfied malcontent.

With two top-10 picks can NYG select a RB and LB, and make this movie less insane.

I haven’t had this talk with anyone yet, but I’ve thought about it every time I saw it. Nothing really impossible happened in the movie, it was just really dramatic.

  1. An owner calling the day of the draft and forcing his his GM to trade up for a player he wanted on a whim is very Al Davis/jerry jones. Wouldn’t happened in today’s more analytic NFL, but we’ve seen dumb stuff like that in the past

  2. GM defying the owner and taking someone else with the pick the owner forced him to trade for would immediately get you fired, that’s probably the most ridiculous part of the movie

  3. Jaguars(?) traded a top 10 pick for 3 2’s, that’s not totally implausible

  4. Then Seahawks traded draft assets back for the guy they almost took 1 overall because they saved a bunch of money (back when #1 overall QBs got top 5 at the position money). That was very dramatic and probably would never happen but it did make sense how they constructed it

So in the end Cleveland started with the 7th-ish overall pick, ended with 2 top 10 picks total in exchange for 3 2’s. That’s perfectly plausible

Seahawks got their guy they would have taken anyway but saved a bunch of money. Weird, but made some sense

Cardinals lost a top 10 pick but got 3 2’s, it may actually be a little light on compensation but it’s not terrible. have to show the Browns are the good guys and won that one

Then the whole side story where the browns wouldn’t take the QB because on draft day they found out he didn’t have a lot of people at his birthday was just Hollywood stuff. It was an overdramatization of the stuff that does go on on draft weekend

I'm not a fan of KC Concepcion in the 1st round. He's too much of a body catcher for my liking and half his highlights are punt returns. I don't think he's any good as a deep threat and he's primarily played the slot his whole career. Last season was his first actually playing outside full time. I like both Chris Bell and Chris Brazzell better and should be available later. If they go with a WR in the 1st, I would much rather target Omar Cooper Jr.
