Hurts’ two best games of his career were his two Super Bowl appearances. Maye was a deer in headlights before the game even started

You better not have given him your spare key

Maye would be coming on to be Sirianni's wingman for reporters.

I can't stand Eskin, and Florio is hit and miss, but Mike has a great point here - what happens if Russini realizes her career is over and does an interview where she tells all? Vrabel could be dead man walking.

Who though? Hard to see who we'd want.

I'm not sure, just saying that if there were a player they wanted and that player contributed something this year, it would take off the sting of waiting for a 1st in 2028. It may just be picks though.

But you know..."oh, special teams!"

She can join the Coldplay concert HR woman doing conferences to get paid for talking about how she's the real victim. Add in that Finance lady who may or may not (probably not) have sexually harassed the junior employee and some reality star who got kicked off the show because video came out of her abusing her husband and children (shocker, she played the victim). They could all go on tour together.

I always like to reminisce with this...

2027 1st and 2028 3rd or 2027 2nd and 2028 1st. Anything less would be unacceptable and Howie won't do it. Get that 2027 1st, Howie.

😅

Marshmellow test.

The 2028 pick seems like a Pats plant.

Doesn’t say fired. Given background with the Birds, I wonder if he is part of the changes we will see in the FO

Yeah, that's another problem. Additionally, the increased no calls on the traveling is now past the ridiculous point. Always been an issue but far worse today.

When the slightest amount of contact is seen and not some of the travels…ya.

It's clear the League just wants this to die. It probably will once training camps start. I also think it's unlikely Russini is going to go public with some tell all. She is either going through a divorce or is trying to reconcile with her husband. She has 2 kids. She doesn't want anything else to come out about it. For something to change, I think it would take Vrabel's wife going scorched earth or there is another affair that becomes public.

Going into the Eagles' FO is like:

Frankly Vrabel is a disgusting pos. Thinking about the two of them together makes me throw up in my mouth a lot.

Ready for this story to go away.

Before the Eagles eventually re-signed Goedert I was really interested in David Njoku and slightly interested in Jonnu Smith. I am really surprised neither one of them have signed yet. For those still hanging in there on actual NFL stuff (not just waiting for the diva to get traded or still interested in losers like Vrabel and Hoessini) these are the best remaining free agents:

OFFENSE

Tyreek Hill

Stefon Diggs

Deebo Samuel

Jauan Jennings

David Njoku

Jonnu Smith

Cam Robinson

Taylor Decker

Kevin Zeitler

Mekhi Becton

DEFENSE

Joey Bosa

Jadeveon Clowney

Cam Jordan

Haason Reddick

DJ Reader

Trevor Diggs

Marshon Lattimore

Donovan Wilson

Xavier Woods

Taylor Rapp

Give me Becton & Reader. Adds some beef on both lines (in the interior) for pretty cheap. Can use the veteran depth in both positions. Don't really like any of those safeties. Holding out for a quality one in trade (Delpit or Reid).

From the Athletic

Here were some of my favorite quotes from Jets readers. First, Evan N.:

💬 Being a Jets fan is like renewing a gym membership every January for half a century. Each year, you walk in, convinced this is the year everything changes. You buy into the plan, you picture the transformation … and by March, you’re back on the couch, sore, disappointed and somehow still paying for it.

By March! Before free agency even starts! JJ put it similarly:

💬 It's like getting great seats for opening day of a baseball season, but rain is predicted. Sure enough, it pours all day, and the game is called before you even leave the house. There is no hope, but even worse, you're not even in the ballpark.

This one is by Steven C.:

💬 My 5-year-old daughter asked me what the difference between baseball and football is. In her estimation it was: 'Baseball is the one where they hit the ball with the bat and run around bases. And football is the one where you stare at the TV and yell, "F---!"'

One last word, from Matt:

💬 Every Sunday feels like your father who left for 'milk' is going to come back. You sit on the porch, looking at the driveway, thinking this week will be different, imagining his beat-up 2010 Honda Civic will pull up on the gravel. However, the sun sets, the car has not arrived, and you go back inside, ready to do it all again the next week and the week after.

You’re right. I don’t think it’s going away for Vrabel either though. I think he winds up getting fired as this thing builds.

Vrabel needs to get fired or quit on June 2nd or so....or we may be effed. LOL

If that doesn't pan out, they could team up on OF.

Ellie put down routine: 6:30-9:00

Baby girl picked a hell of a time to start refusing to fall asleep :/

Half day at school, no nap and schmoopie took her to the HAC to run around for 3 or so hours.

I have a chance to catch the game before halftime groovy
