Once he went early, Lemon was probably the next best available guy on their board who fell within range.Alec Halaby rubbed people the wrong way early in the going, he was sent to the other side of the building with Howie during the whole Chip Kelly saga and he heard Halaby clashed with the football people in the organization over the years, from Chip to Doug and others, but he's a super bright guy and worked really hard to develop as a scout. He said Bryce Johnston is a big loss, cap wizard who was the brains behind the void years and stuff and they don't have an obvious ready guy to step into that role right now, he heard whispers it could be Adam Berry, but isn't sure because that doesn't seem to be his wheelhouse. If this AJ Brown situation happened two years ago, Howie wouldn't have entertained trading him. He's entertaining it in part because he wants to get out ahead of the money and possibly a declining player. People around the league have long term concerns about his knees.People are impressed by Mannion so far and he's a legit offensive mind and has full autonomy of the offense. And for the first time since Sirianni has been here(for real this time) they will have a guy running the offensive scheme fully like Fangio runs the defense fully. It’ll suck when we lose Mannion next offseason
May 5May 5 2 minutes ago, Blazehound said:It’ll suck when we lose Mannion next offseasonHunch that isn't gonna happen this time around. The streak of new OCs every year just by pure odds alone has to end eventually. Don't think a one year OC will get a head coaching job that quickly, and if the Eagles don't have an impressive playoff run I think Sirianni is gone anyway and Mannion could very well be the Eagles next head coach if he impresses.

Ideally a 1st and a 2nd, Eagles would be happy with that and I think that would be ideal for them" *spends next 3 minutes talking about injuries, age, down year and how it will hurt compensation*. "As long as the Eagles cant a 1st whether that's in 2027 or 2028 plus something. Whether that's a player who has some starting upside or maybe even, yea, I mean obviously a 2nd round pick, 3rd round pick, I don't know. As long as the Eagles get a 1st round pick in the return of the trade I think that would be a good return for them whether it's in 2027 or 2028."

May 5May 5 I guess Im under a rock. I didnt know of any legal issues surrounding Sneed. But sounds like theyre cleared up now. Maybe he signs somewhere soon.Dallas based criminal defense attorney Michael J. Todd announced that all criminal charges against his client, former Chiefs and Titans cornerback L’Jarius Sneed, have been dismissed. Sneed originally was charged with aggravated assault that was reduced by the grand jury to the misdemeanor offense of failure to report the commission of a felony. The state of Texas dismissed the misdemeanor completely Friday, which Todd said leaves Sneed without conviction or admission of any kind.

It used to be if a player had the IPP designation at cut down they would be the 17th PS player and couldn't get poached but also couldn't be signed to the teams active roster that season. Just last year they changed it to where the guy is still the 17th PS player, can be elevated 3 times like other PS guys but can also be claimed from another team
