I don't think Mannion is gonna be some amazing OC. But having other voices here who HAVE done the job before (like grizzard) I think will help. Last year it was just patullo and sirianni, two idiots with zero clue and they fed off of each other's idiocy.

Even though I don't think the offense will be good I am still excited to see it because 1) I think it'll look a lot different and 2) I want the question settled once and for all on if the offense last year was run because the QB couldn't handle it or because Sirianni and Patullo are just dumb. How Hurts performs in this offense will give us our answer. And there's the added benefit of having clarity on if Hurts deserves another contract. Because if he plays like he did last year, then he's not gonna be here in 2027. Not that it would make him the worst QB in the world, but it certainly wouldn't make him worth 50m per season. He hasn't played to that type of money in quite a while.

Safety-Because both positions have question marks, a vet safety fallback plan like Xavier Woods would be a smart signing if there is no trade out there. Or Kenny Moore as a slot CB/safety hybrid. Kind of surprised he hasn't found a home yet.

Backup Guard- Hoping Becton and the Eagles come to their senses and sign late here. Good insurance policy for Dickerson as Steen can swing over to left guard if Dickerson can't hold up. Maybe Zeitler if not Becton, if willing to be a backup on a championship contender.

Kicker- I think Missy is washed and very limited in his range at this point. Wondering if this Verhoff kid made enough of an impression in rookie camp to get a training camp invite. The one report I saw on him was very positive. At minimum, I'd be holding a solid candidate on the PS this year. Missy needs some competition. This is stupid already. If we go the veteran route, Daniel Carlson from the Raiders is still on the street. Dipped last year a bit, but still graded much better than Elliott the last 2 years. Otherwise, I'm pretty sure one will spring loose in training camp with a few of the young ones coming in displacing vets. Elliott must have unflattering pics of Sirianni with the loyalty here. Don't care about the cap hit or contract. Can't have a kicker here losing you games or limiting you with his short kicking range in today's NFL. The guy has been bad in 3 of his last 6 years.

This will always stand out as one of the most heart breaking Eagles losses. Really interesting to think about alternative timelines had the Eagles won that game. At what point does Garcia potentially take over as the QB? Winning that game and making it to the NFC Championship Game? Making it to the Super Bowl but losing? Winning the Super Bowl?

There's probably a good reason why they are getting mocked, I imagine. Probably well deserved. But, you're speaking in generalities, so don't know what or who you are referring to.

Every one wrote them off after Mcnabb went down but Westy carried the O along with Garcias fire backed by a pretty good D.

I don't think they'll necessarily force Hurts to adapt. They're going to mix in the new stuff with the old so he's still comfortable. We'll likely still see some old stuff. Wouldn't really surprise me if he happens to revert back if the new stuff doesn't work right away sort of like how he used to resort to just running instead of staying in the pocket. It'll be a learning curve all season

I've been a season ticket holder for over 22 years now. The entire Stadium is chanting "run the ball" in most games. This town wants to run the ball and will take a run heavy offense and be very happy. That year in 24 was a great move by Moore during the bye week. Hurts was struggling in his passing scheme and the season looked all but over by week 4. Then Moore went run heavy and the season became one of the most magical seasons in Eagles history. Hurts did have an amazing SB, did help the Chiefs didn't have a first down until mid way through the 3rd Q. But just watching over time Hurts is at his best when we have a run heavy system, tough defense and him only needing to throw 18-25 atts per game. If we have to put the ball in his hands to win through passing he is not that type of QB, which is exactly what happened in 25 since teams focused on stacking against our run game and forced Hurts to beat them with his arm.

So if your from PA, great you know what the fans want here. Tough in your face smash mouth football. So to go back again to your statement about fans not being happy that the O ran too much in 2024, No the real fans were very happy with a run heavy scheme. The first mistake many make is reading into social media too much. Too many trolls like RTK

I don't care either way if AJ has a good season or bad season. He served his purpose here, and was on a SB winning team. Did he have a significant part in that success? Sure but the biggest factor was Barkley and Fangio.

I also believe like you he wanted to be here but did not believe in his QB to help him in his ultimate goal of getting a Gold jacket. Selfish?, sure but who would not want to put themselves in that situation of being considered the best of the best . But I don't believe the "AJ sabotaged" the season crap some are streading. He is 1 WR, if he had that much say on this team forcing Hurts to throw to him then Nick and Jalen are not as good of leaders as many claim. I also don't think AJ being on our team or not will make a massive difference in the passing games success. It comes down to can Jalen overcome his biggest weakness with the new scheme or try to settle back into his norm when he feels the challenge of change like in 24?

Exactly, I don't consider that a "Heart Breaking Loss" due to exactly what you mentioned. It's not like we had hopes of a SB. Now if someone wanted to post about the 2003 loss to the Bucs in the final game at the Vet as one of the most Heart Breaking losses then they have something to stand on.
