Unfortunate loss but fun team to watch

False start killed them the last drive and I remember a horrible spot earlier in the game.

There are some serious concerns about Sorsby’s gambling problem, especially as it was revealed how frequently he placed bets on Indiana games while on that team. But two GMs told me they think he’s grabbed in the supplemental draft if he is deemed eligible. Both are under the impression that the Eagles have done a lot of work on him, and they believe this very much could be Jalen Hurts’ final season as the starter there.

"I think Howie grabs him in the second round,” one GM said. "He’s getting a one for (receiver A.J.) Brown. I don’t think he’s scared to do it, and the stuff you hear about them being willing to move off of Hurts, that's real.” Good enough for me.

Gonna have to worry about many weapons and formations here. Mannion will play 4 or 5 wide receivers and use all the TEs. And 2 RBs are essential for 21 personnel. Expect a lot of Tank and more Shipley looks. Everybody touches the ball. Should be more engaged rather than watch the AJ and Devanta show. Very intrigued what they're putting together here. Very intentional in each signing and how it all fits this puzzle. For instance WRs who can now block in Wicks & Lemon. All the parts have a defined role. This is a diverse offense that will be like nothing we've seen in recent years

If Sorsby can be the QB of the future, and you land him with a 2nd round pick, the eagles can use all their extra draft ammo to make sure they land a Lane replacement.

How do you guys think the Brandon Aiyuk situation plays out ? it’s like watching a train crash in slow motion. I guess that’s what happens when you hold unwilling wide receivers hostage and don’t give into their little tantrums. I won’t argue against the draft capital. Then you have Chip Kelly who would be like "here, any one and everyone! Released!” LOL

Probably gets released, I don't think anyone will take that contract. Then he'll sign with the Commies.

I'd take him here over Wicks though as a signing. Aiyuk had one bad year coming off a knee and then whatever happened happened, I have no idea what is going on, but he's a good WR when he's healthy. Much better than Wicks.

When viewing his highlights it made me nervous I got 90 seconds in before he threw a pass. He likes to take off a bit too much for my taste, but he definitely has the athleticism. A couple of his runs even resembled Hurts, if I dare say so.

His arm is really good. I wouldn’t say a great arm, but it’s better than NFL average and a demonstrably better throwing arm than Hurts. He puts good zip on his throws and also demonstrates touch on downfield throws, although I couldn’t find a deep throw where he truly airs it out to measure his deep ball. He tends to flick his downfield throws, but shows accuracy and touch.

Someone will use a supplemental pick on him, maybe even second round. He’s a better prospect than Dante Moore, IMO — and not just a little better — quite a bit better. He’s about 6’3 and 235 lbs. He has the physical traits and can make the NFL throws.

I would want to see that the gambling addiction is far in the rear view. Leaving the "morality” out of it, if he gets nailed for gambling again as an NFL player his career would be basically over. It’s a sizeable risk.

This isn't a guy the eagles would normally take a risk on. Gambling is something that an athlete isn't coming back from, unlike DUIs or basically anything else that isnt murder. A 2nd round pick in a strong draft isnt worth the risk

Its not just a 2nd round pick in a strong draft. Youre talking about getting a guy projected to be a top 5 pick in that strong draft, with a 2nd round pick. The value is substantial, if they are comfortable with the risk, which is also immense.

Surely, you know the eagles would take the risk on a gambler, and a player can come back from that. Rodgers was not that long ago. But its scarier when its your QB...

Exactly, and aside from rodgers cost them almost nothing i don't remember seeing anything out there about him being a gambling addict.

That plus the circus that will come with it i think is something the eagles won't want to risk

gambling is why Rodgers missed the entire season when the eagles signed him knowing he could not play.

I doubt Sorsby is an addict either. I suspect he took a "medical" redshirt to receive "treatment" for his "addiction" so that he could continue playing college ball. I think hes just a college kid that placed bets on sports, as kids do these days with the sportsbook apps at the palm of your hand. In my college days, the poker fad was huge.

He has a second round grade in 2027 if he had come out. Flawed. His gambling isn’t really comparable to Rodgers. I’d pass as they just drafted Payton.

I just watched a video today with Eisen talking to Albert Breer. Breer said teams see him as a top 5 talent. And although he is not consistent enough yet, arm talent on par with Mahomes and Caleb Williams.

Anytime someone mentions "arm talent", I get flash backs to Rstarter: "Dat arm talent, doe!"
