Until they go and trade that pick to another team... wacko. again.

Yeah.

I just read an interesting one about utah is interested in tippet and maybe Danny could get desnoyers who they had interest in drafting before

There are definitely players and coaches that recognize his weaknesses. But theres probably still a number of teams who think they have the right fit for him.

I think we would still get a 1st. How much more is in question. Hes really shouldnt break the bank and fetch like 3 1sts or anything like that.

I think the scenario that would make sense for the Eagles is another team that wants to throw in a QB as well. I could see a player for player deal for someone like Stroud. I could also see a deal to somewhere like Carolina where they send the Eagles Bryce Young and a 2nd for Hurts.

Thank god you still had enough energy after GJ Kinney left.

That one nearly broke me…I was sure he was the one.

I went from BDawk_MLewis to BDawk_LSheppard to BDawk_ASamuel. Too lazy to change it since and am glad I didn’t go with BDawk_BMaxwell so it’s staying.

I’m not sure the exact order but pretty sure started as Ferris, foles_era, kinne_era, Wentz_era…then back to foles for the SB run. Then i decided not to engage in the Foles vs Wentz talk and settled with using this one for the new boards. I’m sure i missed one or 2 in there for some random UDFA’s as well. It really started with Foles because I thought he should have came out a year earlier. Absolutely loved him in college…and I swore the day he was drafted he would win us our first SB. Didn’t know it was going to take him leaving and coming back.

Pretty sure i did Barkley_era & Sanchez_Era when we traded for Bradford…because WTF.

There was once a KolbEra. He was a hoot.

He is going to have surgery soon for a sports hernia and a 10 team NTC kicks in July 1st. Makes a trade a little tougher. Wonder if Utah is on that no trade list? Desnoyers would definitely be better than any C we have in the pipeline, but I'd want a 1st round pick as well. Tippett is a top line RW for Utah. Need to get more than a projected 2nd line C for him. Don't think DB trades Tippett, though.

That wouldn't make any sense for the Eagles - both Stroud and Young will need extensions. If you're dumping Hurts, you are doing it to get a QB locked into a rookie QB contract.

Single game tickets were supposed to go on sale today. Not sure if there was ever an announcement from the team as its usually posted in here and I havent seen it.

If you looked on the ticketmaster website for tickets, each game had todays date, 10am listed.

Today, that is not showing. So I dont know what the F is happening.

Its a crime how much they try to trick people in to buying tickets on the secondary market for jacked up prices. This on sale date has become more and more secretive over the years.

They try to make you buy tickets on schedule release day.

They mix in the secondary tickets with the face value tickets during the on sale date.

They recently have only begun announcing the on sale date 1 day before so its easily missed by a lot of people.

Now, it seems there was no announcement at all, and even the ticketmaster site is now hiding info.

Flyers tix might be easier to get!

I always see some type of announcement each year and then usually shared by the beats. I haven't seen anything yet for this year.

Well Howie is a salary cap wizard and the cap doesn't exist also I only ever completed 3rd grade math. But hypothetically, if the Texans/Panthers are not able to work out a new deal with Stroud/Young heading into 2027, could the Eagles extend Stroud or Young in a way to make the cost, over the time they have the significant dead cap hit from Hurts, akin to the cost of a 1st round pick at QB.

It's always this time of the month and ticketmaster definitely showed it but then not today so its very weird. Not sure what's going on.

I guess I'll wait another week and see what happens.

If you trade Jalen this offseason, you're taking a ~85mm dead cap hit - do it after June 1 and you can split that ~31mm in 2026 (adds just over $11mm in 2027 cap space as his cap number is ~42mm), but then you have over 54mm in 2028 dead cap. If you traded for CJ or Bryce, you'd have to extend them as each is on the cap for their fully guaranteed 2027 5th year option at $25.9 million. An extension can drop those numbers to say ~8mm in 2027 and ~15mm in 2028, meaning you are using ~$39mm in 2027 for a QB (just below Jalen's 42mm hit) but almost ~70mm in 2028 (Jalen's cap hit is ~47.5mm). So you would really load a lot into 2028. A rookie QB would also have a ~10mm hit in 2028 (if drafted in 2027), so it's not too different. But you'd have to be willing to extend CJ or Bryce for something over 50mm AAV without them playing a down for you - hard to imagine we do that.

I think over $50 mm AAV is probably a reasonable deal for Stroud. Hurts is 12th at $51 AAV now. I would guess that $55 million AAV would not put Stroud in the top 10 in 2028. If the 2026 season looks like 2024 and Hurts is going into the offseason having won 2 Super Bowls but the Eagles are balking at a top 5 AAV type deal, I think trading for Stroud would be intriguing for them. He's younger. They would not be in a position to draft one of the top QB prospects in the 2027 draft. They don't want to waste a year by having a fill in starter.

I would have more concerns about giving Young that type of deal.

Yeah I don't think they trade him either. Feel like him and luchanko end up together when he comes up.

It did mention the nmc I forgot about that. They mentioned it and said they would have to move quick. But we know how all the hypotheticals are this time of year.

The one thing I did take from the press conference is they like the guys they drafted and will move players to let them come up to the nhl so that should be interesting to see how the roster shapes out over the next couple years

Apparently we're going "all in" this year by signing 2 guys for around the veteran minimum lol

Agreed. Though outside of Luchenko (who may not even cut it at Lehigh Valley), they have drafted a bunch of big, slow dudes who all need a lot of work to get their skating to an NHL level. Hope some pan out, but we have a lot of "hope he can be a 3rd-4th line contributor" type of guys. And not one top pair Dman that can QB a PP, which we badly need.

If Hurts walks away from this season with 2 Super Bowl wins underneath his belt, why would anyone think the Eagles would move on from him? It makes no sense at all unless @HazletonEagle tied Howie up and took over the team.

I know we are Eagles fans so by nature we are a delusional group, but this is moon man talk.

Yea no way does this team let him go after 2 super bowl victories unless he was absolutely horrid all season and they won in spite of him

Can anyone tell if that McLane article on Julian Lurie is worth a read or maybe summarize it? I’m not a subscriber & don’t feel like becoming one

I like how bonk looked when he got to play and berglund seems like he's going to be a good one.

Nesbitt will be interesting to see how he develops.

Not sure what Jett turns into at this point.

I did like the one strategy where maybe we end up up with great elite singers and maybe just decent centers that they could make it work.

Hopefully between bonk or jiricek one of them can develop into a pp qb

He barely developed at all from a scoring standpoint. Still a point a game guy in juniors as a 19-year-old.

He’ll hopefully show something with Michigan next season, and develop a subsequent season either there or in the AHL. For what Brière gave up for him and where he was ranked as a prospect there is a risk he could end up one of the worst draft picks in recent NHL memory.
