I'm sure any QB could have won with that team. Right? It's too convenient to make blanket statements and discredit guys like that. He deserves a bunch of credit for Seahawks winning the Superbowl. Just like every other QB that wins it and usually gets the accolades. Mahomes had 2 injured or mediocre offensive lines in 2 different Superbowls and he gets blown out. He has an average supporting cast last year and he looks average. Okay, let's replace him.😅 Need a very good supporting cast. Goes without saying.I've been challenging the "Hurts is surrounded by talent..." argument for a couple years. Needing a talented team to win, like you said, goes without saying.I fully believe it's a sink or swim season for Hurts. Not because he isn't a good QB, but because the Eagles have chosen offensive system first, QB to run it second, rather than molding an offense to the QB. I have no doubt Hurts is pumped to try and run it after 3 years of the most boring offense in the NFL. I hope it works out and we win win win. But if it doesn't, the Eagles move on and we hope and pray it doesn't take too long to find a QB that has been as good as Hurts has been. Having a good QB is so rare. It was a long dry spell between McNabb leaving and the arrival of Wentz/Foles part 2/Hurts.2010-2016 Eagles were 56-56- lost both Wildcard playoff games.2017 -2025 Eagles are 94-54 - 3 SBs, 2 SB wins, made playoffs in 8 of the past 9 seasons.Hurts himself is 60-32-1 with 5 consecutive playoff seasons, making the SB 40% of the time. So, while Hurts may end up getting replaced, he would be very difficult to replace.

A very important year for Hurts. It's all set up for success with a pretty solid group of Receivers and RBs. And a healthier offensive line. Hopefully. And a new energy with a new scheme that is supposedly QB friendly. A new challenge has never fazed the guy. Get rid of the toxic elephant in the room and it's only up from here. This guy is on his 10th OC since college. Adaptability and coachability has to be two of his greatest traits that he does not get enough credit for. Here's the list of his 10 OCs:College (4 Coordinators)2016: Lane Kiffin (Alabama)2017: Brian Daboll (Alabama)2018: Mike Locksley (Alabama)2019: Lincoln Riley (Oklahoma)NFL / Philadelphia Eagles (6 Coordinators)2020: Doug Pederson (head coach / play-caller)2021: Shane Steichen2022: Shane Steichen2023: Brian Johnson2024: Kellen Moore2025-Kevin Patullo2026- Sean MannionI have no reason to doubt that this guy won't come out on the other side here with a solid season, at minimum. Resiliency is his middle name. A very highly motivated athlete who knows a big contract is lurking and knows that the doubters are out in full force. Will play with that chip. Look forward to it. I think he would have to almost fall flat on his face to not get extended. It doesn't hurt when the franchise owner is in your corner! He will get more leeway than people think here.

Barkley spent the majority of his career on one of the worst teams in the NFL. Clearly his prime was wasted in New York.Once he got to a good team he carried the entire offense to a Super Bowl. Barkley is the better player but Westbrook was definitely better in the passing game. I’d put him right behind Faulk all time as a receiving threat.

Ill give him more credit if he puts together a huge season this year in a different offense. But outside of 1 season where everything was perfect, hes a massive career underachiever. And he has never played to his size.

You put all them into a draft, which QB is taken first?I'm gonna go Vick or Andrew Luck.I think the consensus answer as to who the greatest QB prospect of all-time was would be Elway. And I would agree with that. He really had everything — big, crazy athleticism, huge arm, Stanford guy, etc. as far as perfect prospects go, he’s the closest to perfect there has ever been which is why there was so much drama around his draft/trade/baseball threats.Manning didn’t have the athleticism. Luck didn’t have the arm. Vick didn’t have the size or brain. Elway had EVERYTHING.
June 19Jun 19 The Athletic has an article on the best and worst jerseys for each team. The best is their current Kelly green alternate. The worst is the Ukrainian flag throwback colors. Missed on the right Kelly green but at least got the colors right. I would go with the old school version.

Henry has 200 fewer pass receptions than Barkley. But sure, he's only had one good season. Troll.

What's childish is trolling all day for years mocking every single thing he does. There are fans that call him gay, question his manhood for having an all women agent team, mock him for publishing a children's book, find any reason to downplay anything good he does. There are guys that go out of their way to diminish his accomplishments. You see the childish mocking and trolling, whether it's mocking his appearance or hyping up random JAG backup QBs.

I dont think so. But anything is possible.I think I made 1 or 2 meh posts about the signing because I know Barkley has been significantly overrated throughout his career. But I mostly was very excited because I knew how good our OL was, and how many big plays he would be able to make here with his speed and the holes theyd open up. I dont know why I would have been talking about Derrick Henry at all.

Barkley followed it up with a complete stinker.Henery has been more productive for less money. It looks like Ive been correct. If you want to make it look like my entire argument was centered on Henry being a bonafide receiving threat then that ones on you.

Isnt that a little eye opening for a guy who is not a receiving RB to have like 2 more yards per reception than a guy who is supposed to be an awesome receiver? Over the course of their entire careers.Barkley is for sure overrated. Thats not to say Henry is an awesome receiving back. Its just saying that Barkley is not.We have also experienced some bad drops from Barkley. Even costing us games.

I was very correct.

June 19Jun 19 Sorry but Barkley is great, he may be a little run down after being the Giants whole team for years and then being pretty much our whole offense the year we won the superbowl, we'll see this year i guess

We all follow the league closely in here. You often claim Hurts success is a product of the great talent around him, not his abilities. But yet, Barkley is number #2 league wide since being drafted and he was surrounded by total shiite every year until he signed with the Eagles. In two years on a talented team he has 3145 rushing yards, 20 TDs. Imagine that, team talent matters? I guess that sucks and since he has talent around him his numbers now don't count because his success has nothing to to with his abilities.
