Jordan is that guy. No point in debating it. If you take the other side, we can both dig in our heels and yell at the wall. No point in that. But that's not to dial down Lebron. He's a great talent, always has been. But, then again, he's not what he was. And I fear that there's a great many who will see the name and not the reality of who Lebron is now, not who he was as he comes here. And, I hope that Lebron plays nicely with the others around him and doesn't try to be LeGM James, or the HC.

Here it is simplified- my liking it did not hinge on being ribeye or not. I knew it wasnt, however I had been seeing/hearing that it was really good anyway. So today I tried it and I learned that its actually one of the worst I have ever had.Get it yet?

And Pete didn't try to run the organization.Good news is LeBron is a better HC than Nick Nurse so I hope LeBron is the de facto HC here.More good news, LeBron even at his age was one of the top 2 fast break scorers in the entire league last year. The other guy in the top 2 was Maxey. So thought he is old, he still plays fast. And more good news- we had 2 non-guaranteed contracts so we will be able to make room for LeBron's buddy KCP without issue. So he got to make one of his GM moves.

I do believe it is truly a generational bias on who the GOAT is. It is just human nature to believe your own generation was better at pretty much everything and there is nothing at all wrong with that. Everyone's late teens to late 30's seem to be the "best of times". There are quite a few others that should be mentioned in the GOAT discussion but never are because they played too far back in time. The changes to the game from era to era makes a real comparison impossible. Along that way, training, nutrition, and the full year round training changes things. Wilt was the GOAT... until he wasn't. MJ was the GOAT... until he wasn't. Lebron was the GOAT... until he wasn't. (Just wait for it... another will come along, and the debate will continue.)But, I think we can all agree, that Larry Bird was the greatest melanin challenged GOAT.

Compensating for eras is subjective and non-conclusive.All the baseball and football players whose careers were diminished by artificial turf. Rules changes. Night baseball. Adding referees to the game. Advances in sports medicine.Imagine if Mantle had access to today's knee repair procedures.Or Gale Sayers. For Mantle, he needed a sobriety program. He might have hit the ball better if there was only one of them coming at him... or he wasn't hungover while doing it.

That said he isn't in his prime but he's still pretty good.

July 25Jul 25 So... completely off topic question, but one that I am curious if anyone has an answer to.In 1979, Pete Rose is listed as playing in 163 games... and that that did not lead the league. How is that possible in a 162 game season?!

Not unlike Brady being complimented for getting a ring with Tampa.

He has an ability to control and facilitate that not many ever have and I think he will be exactly what the collection of talent the Sixers have needs.

Not unlike Brady being complimented for getting a ring with Tampa.Couple of reasonsBack then they had tie breaker games if 2 teams tied for the final playoff spot at the end of the season. Don’t know if they still have them but 163 game seasons are pretty commonBut how you can have 163 games and not lead the league is one team can be ahead by as much as 5 games played from another team at a random point in the season depending on how their schedule is lined up. So if you played every day for a team that has more games in the first quarter of the season and you get traded to a team that has played fewer games, you’ll have a 164, 165, 166 game season
