Bill Millers typically makes a well cooked brisket. Most places these days over cook it a bit. They're a chain and they don't have the bark and flavor of some of the others but if you like well cooked brisket, they do pretty well.

Rudy's is a good go to. I'm a huge fan of Jalapeno Sausage.

Blacks is really good but they tend to over cook the brisket. Amazing flavor though.

I only had Franklins a few times and was not impressed.

2026 Ojomo is better than 2024 regular season Milt. Hell, 2025 Ojomo was better than 2024 regular season Milt - 6 sacks vs. 5 for Milt, 38 tackles vs. 21 for Milt. Milt had a great Super Bowl that skews the perception. Ojomo did that while not playing next to all-pro Carter.

The 2025 season was spoiled by the struggles of the offensive line primarily. If Jurgens, Lane and Dickerson (or someone else) can stay healthy and not suck, it solves A LOT of issues.

Hopefully the OC or Oline coach sits them if they get injured. Constantly trotting them out was bad player management

Carter was dealing with some shoulder issues last year wasn't he? I think that was the reason for the fall off. I could be wrong, and I do believe Ojomo will be better. PHI has 3 of the top 30 DTs in the league...

Statistically he may have been, but realistically they were not better than 2024 Milton. A key example why stats can only show so much. Anyone who watched the Eagles every week in 2024 saw the impact Milton had and it culminated in a dominating playoff run and championship to close out the season.

Davis definitely has improved a lot from 2024, but I'm going to take 2024's group of DTs as it stands right now. If Carter elevates himself to best DT in the NFL level and Ojomo has a dominant season in the rotation I could change that later.

I am being honest. Eagles have done alot of winning with Hurts. Maybe it hasn't been how you want it to look on a game to game basis. But quite effective. Maybe it's unrealistic expectations here. A 2nd round pick who has panned out very well. If people want him to be Dan Marino, then look elsewhere. He's Jalen Hurts and special in his own right. Now, as far as his salary and possibly being overpaid, which I have heard about in here, he is 12th highest paid QB when I checked about 4 months ago. Think that's commensurate to his performance.

LB: this one also goes to 2024. Baun took a step back last year and it’s hard to project him back to 2024 level. Dean is better than Campbell until proven otherwise.

3-2 for 2024 IMO but I think the biggest gap should be better CBs for 2026.

DT - Moro Ojomo had 6 sacks last season. Williams only had 5 in 2024. I think he's also a better run defender than Williams ever was. I really think the question is whether Carter returns to form. If Carter returns to his 2024 form, then this team is at least a push. If Davis continues his growth, they could be historically dominant.

Edge - I think the Eagles have more depth. I don't think Greenard and Sweat are a wash. There was no depth behind Sweat and Smith in 2024. Huff was unplayable. Hunt was a rookie who didn't take off until the playoffs. Hunt is Sweat's replacement in this line up. Greenard/Epenesa/Ebiketie are the replacement for Huff/Patrick Johnson. To me, this looks to be a much better group.

LB - I mostly agree but think Campbell has a ton more upside. I would probably put it as a push.

CB - Slay was pretty good. I don't know if it's huge but I agree this unit is probably better.

S - I agree with you but this could look like a much better unit than 2024 at the end of the season. Mukuba may be a better S and not as high variance as CJGJ. CJGJ did seem to make 2 key plays a game. He was good for one TFL and PD/Int. The question was whether he also messed up a coverage or committed a penalty. Mukuba wasn't on CJGJ's level last season. I do think he's better in coverage. He needs to not lose track of receivers for the sake of tryign to get INTs. Epps was above average as a starter in 2022 for the Eagles. He's also 3 years older than Reed.

I don't think it benefits him if Hurts isn't playing. The two of them doing extra reps before practice would be more beneficial than a preseason game with Payton and Dalton throwing to (at) him.

According to beat reporters, he was taking snaps with 3rd stringers indicating he will likely see some action. I'm not sure it makes sense, but seems he may play a few snaps.

Nobody beats MW. 😎 Realistically, I would take 2024 version of JC, Playoff developed MW with MO & JD off the bench. Vs Recovering JC, Much improved JD and MO & Byron Young. I'm sorry but 2024 JC & MW were scary hours and threw around Mahomes like a rag doll! Never will forget that. Probably never to be duplicated again.

With that said, this year's defense is looking nice. But safety needs work, as the main difference between the 2 defenses. I don't see anybody sniffing CJGJ's 6 INT total.

Regardless of the QB, he needs more reps. The huddle and alignment process. Making right the right read if its an option route. Running the routes properly. Getting tackled to the ground.

The Super Bowl massively skews the perception of Milt's 2024 season. No one on the planet thought he was getting that kind of contract before the Super Bowl. He had a breakout game at the perfect time to get paid, but during the regular season he was a very good DT3, same as Ojomo last year.

Of course, I'm reasonably certain you're Milt's brother given how much you support him, so...

I think you make it sound like MW got lucky and is some jag. He finally got a chance to play later in that year and was an absolute beast once installed as a starter. Dude went on to NE and played without JC and played great till an injury. IIRC, most peeps thoughts in here was that he was a product of JC. Heck no! Stud player in his own right.Patriots fans feel like they stole that guy for the price they paid. And they are right, when you look at JC's salary.

Not a JAG - very good player who we unfortunately couldn't afford. Without that SB, he gets a nice payday. With it, he got near a record payday.

I view him the same as Ojomo - very good players somewhat buried here behind 1st round studs. Ojomo is going to get paid by someone this offseason, but not us.

I think the fallacy is that they couldn't afford him. They never even bothered. But that's okay. Howie waited too long and screwed up paying Huff. It's a choice they made. They later on paid JD his money, who looked bad in 2024. All worked out for everyone. But my analysis with MW was spot on at that time, as a break out star.
