I just feel like too many get snookered by the way the way Eagles dealt with Mailata in the past and considered that normal operating procedure. Mailata has proven to be a generational talent at a completely different position. The Eagles obviously looked carefully at their progress and potential and had a completely different view than the mainstream thinking. I still would like to see the Eagles get the opportunity to work with them, but not at the coast of two active roster spots.

I think Ertz will be signed and we’ll see what else. Don’t think anyone is gonna trade for their QBs so we’ll see what they do there.

If he’s their best blocking TE why is Mundt on the team? He’s zero as a pass catcher the only reason they signed him is to block. Having both is redundant.

If they both get through, then no real complaints on the roster from me. I would have kept them and moved off Dalton and Jenkins or Underwood. But if they get to the PS, that’s the optimal outcome. Hope Howie has the right read.

Jenkins is keeping Ertz's seat warm. One can wish! Howie being very stubborn at TE and Safety. As there have been reasonable deals to be made all offseason and in free agency to make upgrades, when those are 2 weak spots for depth. And all 3 starters are injury prone with Goedert, Makuba and Epps. Maybe he's been waiting for cutdown day. Will see...

Yup covey has 4 accrued years so is a vested vet. He's a FA. Unless a team offers him more than the vet minimum he'll probably be back on the PS and elevated as when needed.

yup...I was watching a play where Bernard was maneuvering in the wash of DL/OL play. He was moving toward the ball completely upright and got absolutely crushed in the midsection by an OL. He just isn't ready...he doesn't have the situational awareness to protect himself...yet.

Mailata took literally 3 camps before he contributed. He wasn’t some savant who just showed up and was an all-pro.

It took YEARS of development, but we actually committed to it.

I really hope I’m wrong and Bernard/Weru don’t get claimed and we can have the perfect situation of them practicing every day with the scout team, but someone is most likely going to claim them through the course of the season.

Do you really want McKee gone and they keep Dalton? Dalton has been outrageously bad and hasn't really played much in three years and is 39. So if they do a pick swap for McKee that leaves Dalton as the backup. Would rather have Minshew, Pickett or even Howell over Dalton.

I didn’t say McKee would be gone. If Howie doesn’t get a trade he likes, expect Dalton to be cut next week is my guess.

Bernard looked stiff to me. Weru looked like he had some potential, good get off good acceleration and bend.

He's got to get way better at hand fighting . Hope he makes it back to PS.

Bernard im not so sure, hes a workout warrior not a football player.
