I think the Bears and Rams, in particular are setting the standard with a reliance on multiple TE's. If the Eagles are truly going to be run first with the OZ, and a shorter passing game...it makes sense to load up on TE's.

If they cut Bernard and Weru because they don’t think they’ll be claimed based on intel and think it’s a waste to roster them given they’re so far away from competing that’s understandable.

But if this is them wasting a pick on Dalton and passing up opportunities to trade McKee in the past, so their ego won’t allow them to take the L on getting rid of either without getting a pick back, then that would be annoying. They aren’t getting anything good for either and if all of this is to get a conditional 7th that can turn into a 6th… please.

I agree, but when they are drafted, I think that should go out the window. That changes the level that you think that they can reach.

I really hope I’m wrong and Bernard/Weru don’t get claimed and we can have the perfect situation of them practicing every day with the scout team, but someone is most likely going to claim them through the course of the season.

Uar isn’t some player that flashed at any point in games. What team thinks he can improve their roster for this season? He is too much of a project and the perfect candidate for the practice squad.

The Rams have five TEs on their final 53 but all can catch a football. Mundt and Jenkins can't catch anything. Jenkins has been hanging around for three years. No other team wants him. I do hope he is just a place holder. Without Latu and Steele I think this shows there won't be a fullback used. Ben Van Sumeren was cut by Buffalo so maybe he can be added to the practice squad.

Both were awesome DLs. Let’s not discount the Steel Curtain or the Purple People Eaters. Heck as I think back, this Ram’s line might not even be in the top twenty.

He isnt going to contribute this season. Doesn't mean someone wont take the chance and carry him as an inactive all season long with a longer-term view to development. Same with Weru.

With multiple teams keeping 4 QBs, feels like there is some wheeling and dealing coming. Personally, I couldn’t care less if we lost both Dalton and McKee. Neither showed anything.

I think you can technically reject being signed off a PS during the season, but guys don’t because they want the $$$ and chance. This would be an interesting test case. Wonder if they discussed it with them - get to the PS and stay all year to continue learning.

They have no choice if claimed on waivers.

Disappointing they cut both OL they drafted last year.

For those upset that they cut both Weru and Bernard, you can blame Eli Stowers. They had to keep 4 TEs because they realized they can’t play Stowers. So rather than keeping Weru or Bernard as their useless developmental player on the 53, that’s now Stowers.

Only makes sense to load up if they can play.

I’ll give it another 48 hours before having a strong opinion. In this new world with PS elevations, I don’t like keeping fringe NFL players (Jenkins, Moore, etc.) on the active roster over developmental players. But more to come, hopefully it looks better soon and we the IPP guys make the PS.

QB room and TE room are straight trash.
