Doesn't mean someone wont take the chance and carry him as an inactive all season long with a longer-term view to development. Same with Weru.If Uar had made some splash play, I would think that's possible. He didn't look terrible but he wasn't great. He did not outplay Zion Wilson or Gabe Hall. Sure, he should improve with time but he's just not ready to play in real in NFL games. It took Mailata 2 full offseasons to be ready to play. I would argue that Mailata flashed a lot more in his first pre-season than Uar has done in this pre-season. What other GMs have the kind of job security that Howie has to do that? It's possible Dallas would but it's not something they have done historically. Most teams are utilizing every spot on their roster to potentially win games now. They can't stash a player for a year plus and hope he develops. I am sure most other teams would consider signing him for a practice squad slot. Uar will know that the Eagles give him the best chance to succeed in the profession.

13 hours ago13 hr The aaron Donald move does nothing for the rams, the defense was already good. He isnt going to play at the level he was at 2 years ago, although a lot of rams fans are confident he's still going to be a monster. I bet by week 15 he regrets coming out of retirement

Bernard had never experienced contact like occurs along the LOS in his life.

13 hours ago13 hr Most of the NFL teams suck, the Eagles still have a contender roster, great defense that's probably a top 3-4, a HC who's made the playoffs every year. The roster bubble players aren't going to make or break the team. We like certain guys and prefer they made some different decisions but the starters are solid.

Now he's playing along side basically what he was before he retired, the undisputed best defensive player in the league.

Move on.I read a comment today on YouTube from someone who said they should have kept AJ Brown, traded Hurts, and drafted a passing QB instead of taking Lemon at pick #20. I reminded him that Mendoza and Ty Simpson were off the board by pick #13 and asked him which passing QB the Eagles should have drafted with their pick. IIRC Carson Beck was the next QB drafted — in the 3rd round, #65 overall.I haven’t gotten a reply yet.

We were ALL less excited about this class in the immediate aftermath. Especially the value of some of the moves. Now, people are seeing Lemon as underwhelming, Stowers doesnt look like a football player at all, Cole Payton didnt look rosterable. Wisniewski was cut.... Markelle Bell is looking really good and so far thats it.Yes, too early to put the final grade on a draft class. But this one has had the Joe Douglas stink all over it from the beginning and early returns are worrying. Which is no surprise at all. Joe Douglas is terrible.

Remember Greg Lewis trying to field punts in the opener against GB?It's possible we might be able to bring Covey back, but keeping Payton and Dalton at the expense of your starting and reliable PR sure seems like deja vu to me.

The draft was weak.I don’t see anything that happened today as impacting the season either way.I expect this year’s defense to be very good and I’m hoping the OL bring healthier and a different scheme will help the running game because our RBs are very good. The passing game is the big unknown

The current regime has won a SB and been a contender, and an overall better roster so I'm hopeful.

Most fans were tired of watching us force 3rd down passes to a covered WR just to keep him from making a scene. Honestly, if you want to se something different this year, Brown had to go. Now, hopefully, everybody on the field will be playing for the team, not individual glory. I really don't think the system we use will be a whole lot different than last year. What I expect to stand out is contributions from more players. If we can simply cut down on the three and outs, and improve our 3rd and 4th down conversion percentage, we will naturally extend drives and provide more opportunities for touches. I expect us to see more players involved in the passing game.
13 hours ago13 hr We may not be risking losing our PR, Covey because Lemon might be our punt returner.

The Vikings are looking for a trade partner to dump him off to. Likely the reason Brosmer was kept on the roster as the 4th QB.I thought it was obvious my comment was a joke...

As there have been reasonable deals to be made all offseason and in free agency to make upgrades, when those are 2 weak spots for depth. And all 3 starters are injury prone with Goedert, Makuba and Epps. Maybe he's been waiting for cutdown day. Will see...Stubborn is the perfect word for this nonsense. They have three safeties on the roster and are a Dallas Goedert injury away from being completely fuct at TE. EJ Jenkins doesn't belong on a terrible NFL roster let alone one that is supposed to be a playoff contender. I kept waiting and waiting for Howie to make a move at both positions and here we are at cut down day and he has done nothing at either.

12 hours ago12 hr If Lemon and Bell hit, this draft would be good enough in my eyes, but not up to our recent standard. I think of Stowers the way I think of Cole Payton - would be nice if they turned into something, but I’m not holding my breath.
